Well yea ur gonna die to some bs in solo queue but also everyone in low ranks is making enough mistakes for you to make up those bs deaths with better consistency and mechanics
I hate that doomfist is so dependent on his team, in lower levels its fucking impossiable to carry as doom because every team you get has no idea how to engage with their tank.
Nice guide update, wish you spent more time on the hog though. Hardest matchup imo especially on closed off maps. Feels so difficult to get any value if your supports aren't countering him when getting within 20m of hog is instant death on a 6 second cooldown

Bro you are 10/10! 1 thing that bugged me, maybe you have an explanation for that I didn't understood watching this, is the difference between natural counter, synergy counter and playstyle counter. For example Orisa. Her Jav is a natural counter because it shuts down your charged fist. You lose the charged fist if I am correct. So why shouldn't orisa be an counter for doom? If she dosn't hit, she dosn't hit. Thats more of a playstyle counter if you dodge.
I will just say that nowadays you can play more aggressively on the flank due to the increase in damage. in previous seasons until season 9, the doomfist had little damage, which is why you had to play carefully, your main motto was “are you not dead? You’re a good doomfist.” I am grateful to the past seasons for this discipline; With experience, you will feel with your skin in what circumstances you can play aggressively, and when passively, you don’t have to stick to one style of play, and yes, you should learn to play against heroes with control. P.S empowered Rocket Punch before: 120 damage (50+30+50%) Now: 172 damage (75+40+50%). Previously, the enemy had 80 health left, now 78. The difference is not very big, but it was still an increase in damage. If you don't notice the difference, then you're just a bad doomfist.

I'm an early plat tank main who recently picked up doom Played mostly qp but recently brought him to comp for the first time, my teammates told me i actually make really good space cycling my cooldowns and disrupting but i struggled to confirm kills This is some great, valuable info and tips that im gonna be trying to implement into my gameplan Especially that tip of shooting before using abilities, i didn't think about that but it's so obvious
Bring back the old reticle on Doomfist; the sdded mobility to slam is nice but unintentionally feeding/inting just because your not pixel perfect with your cross hair is just laughably bad. If the devs want a flat damage number for slam thats fine, but slam as it is on live requires so many play hours on the hero either from OW1 or sinking the hours into the hero as he is on live to get value out of. So they've reduced the skill requirement to panic swap to the hero and do anything valuable for the team at the expense of being able to reliably do anything alone. Nothing is more annoying than your team setting you up for a play to make just to slam short and face tank cool downs and die. We used to use upper cut to escape those situations and now all you do is farm rocket punch for knock back. I won't even start on how every other tank ultimate has solo kill potential except Doomfist. Just funny that so much was added to the game in terms of social features and QOL changes to enable otp players without sacrificing their maximum potential except for him. Game devs dont need to be unbeatable at their game to make good balance decisions but i feel that taking a select few consistently high level players from the community and asking what if questions could have avoided these issues.
Why does every overwatch content creator call overhealth, shields? Temporary shields were removed at the beginning of overwatch 2, until venture was released. Overwatch and shields function completely differently. Shields can regenerate at rate of 30 shields per second after not taking damage for 3 seconds. Overhealth is always temporary and damaging it gives only half ultimate charge.
