For those wondering, I do vod reviews for 50k channel points or 10 gifted / 5000 bits. I have channel point gambling on every game so getting 50k channel points is easier than you think (might even have to increase if this is really popular)
Would love to see a run down of main lesson points after the game. For example: 1. Target acquisition: Stop targeting the tank so much 2. Positioning: make sure to use the corners more 3. Slam angle: that high slam will get you killed more often in higher games try to get used to limiting the usage on it now while you're lower. 4. Block timing... etc etc I know we just watched the video but I think one more little rundown for the person to stick what was most important to work on and which aspects to get better at would be helpful especially if they paid money by gifting subs or bits. Just a thought for the next time. Theres more to teaching than just talking about it once. Lesson objectives are actually important. Thanks for trying to help people out. Great stuff.
I wish I could have 1 done of me I'm a masters doom player just reached it like 2 days ago of pure grinding. I wish I could have some pointers but idk I feel like some times it's just a big team diff cuz I mostly play dive/disruptor but my team8s don't like that type of playstyles or they just don't understand it. I play on ps4 tho so I don't think I would be able able send a vod that's good looking since shitfactory on ps4 is garbage.
I'm not sure how many of these you've done, but as a gold/plat players this is amazing. I would like to hear more of what Dooms overall gameplan should be in specific maps and comps. In this video I got the sense that given the map, Doom should be creating off angles for his team and getting to high ground when possible. It may be obvious to you, but hearing a macro plan really makes heros click in people mind and have AH HA! moments.
I always feel like, with tank Doom, forcing enemies to move backwards is the best thing to do at lower ranks. I climbed from gold to Diamond 2 since ow2 release. Being able to get in and back out safely while disrupting the enemy team and forcing CD's is awesome. If you can get a kill with empowered punch stun while doing this then you will win more and more games. Even just 1 person advantage is huge in OW2. Also, peeling for your supports is always good
Something mechanically I wanted to point out... There was quite a few times where the player would charge his punch to full when there were times that a quicker lower charged punch would of been a better punch to guarantee a wall splat. They would fully charge and miss the punch. Just knowing when to fully charge a punch and when to utilize quicker punches is something good to go over.
Target priority is almost singlehandedly keeping players in a low ELO. They don’t have the confidence to land shots on squishies, so they spend way too much time shooting a pocketed tank, indirectly feeding OP support ults which will build faster.
The issue I run into a lot is that when I “ignore the tank” they usually destroy my team meaning any sort of picks I may get are pointless because they’ve already done the same to us. I end up fighting the other tank a lot simply because I feel like my team often can’t handle it. Any tips?
@@Kyle_Evers It’s not really a question of tips as much as it is working on your engagements and getting picks faster. Tanks generally struggle without their supports and damage to back them up. If you eliminate the squishies sooner, the tank is going to have a hard time finding value, especially because they will get focused. Your teammates are inevitably going to die at your ELO, so you have to play around the trades and keep track of whether or not fights are winnable. Another thing to consider is that “focusing the pocketed tank” and “peeling for your squishies” are different concepts. Sometimes all you need to do to get a tank off your backline is punish them a bit and get them to back off. It doesn’t mean you should focus them, and when they burn their cooldowns or take a lot of damage, that can be a great time to disengage and seek out a squishy to target. In short, keep working on your engagements against squishes, confirm kills quickly, and don’t be afraid to peel if the enemy tank looks like they might get some good value out of their own engagement. Whatever you do, don’t *focus* the pocketed tank all game or you will regret it.
This Vod review was super fun to watch, it was super helpful, hearing you get excited when he did well was also cool, overall just another great video your reactions are super funny
there's also a reason why the person targets rein alot, rein isn't getting targeted enough and getting free range, his a fking oldman with a hammer, no ones shooting him in all angles and giving free roam on a map, i've lost like that too, so i agree zbra his attacking tank too much, but i also can tell why, the team is not engaging enough, they have secondary healers, as i always say "you're a damage support, kill more or swap" because secondary healers don't heal well, so kill more or swap you're not helping being brig swinging at nothing then dying repeatedly/feeding. In this situation switch tactics or just go to a more aggressive tank since dps are doing a poor job. Even if he doesn't attack rein and focuses backline his still a tank doing tank damage, if you kill someone mercy raz's and you will be slept, in zbras gamss his FRIEND cleanses him when he screws up
@@VTuber_Central ya can't say I agree with any of this. If it was a zen with discord ya but on brig why would she be trying to hit the rein? His team is running sojourn and widow and they have dive, he should be peeling for his backline should he not? Rein being pocketed by healers is never going to die, tank needs to focus the supports then can worry about the rein.
I genuinely would like to see more of the vod reviews on YT. This was super helpful for me as someone who is interested in picking up Doom and want to see what natural habits need to be broken. I really enjoyed your commentary on this vod! Keep up the great work man

@@Gobbygoblin he's one of the most aim dependent characters in high ranks and requires some of the quickest decision making and movements, not to mention all the mobility techs and mid-air, definitely some of the hardest mechanics in the game
that and the skills to like predict where the enemy is gonna be and stuff, positioning is important for all characters ofc but I feel like for doom, it just matters more, and you get punished way more than other heroes
On the note about the sensitivity/EDPI, I think he has acceleration turned on. For those who don't know, in the Windows settings, it's a toggle called "Enhance pointer precision"
I have only played overwatch the past 3 seasons and keep just choking getting into master maining doom but I learned lots watching this.No wonder you're the best Doom out there
Shout-out to ZBRA for doing proper Educational Content not the unranked to GM "educational" content others do to stroke their egos stomping on Low Ranks
Don't be afraid to use cooldowns to move to better positions. Like ZBRA said, slam to high ground or an off angle. Use cover and either they ignore you and you kill them, or they pressure you out and you punch to a different position. I'm trying to say, use dooms mobility to make it so you are not fighting the enemy tank.
I hope there's more videos like this cause I struggle a bit to rank up with doom over gold 4, and don't know if is my fault that I do better or that my randons sometimes sucks, but I rather think that's on me cause it makes me analyse my game more to see if something is wrong an how I could change. (Also how can I send some match for you?)
But... how am I supposed to release doomfist tutorials when Zbra makes the perfect one... 😭 He doesnt know it but he beat me to making a "that's life" doomfist montage too
6:46 lost sight of opponent too easily, you're hoping for them to drop back down to punish you will need to have eyes on him i.e from a further distance (not be in your face using double jump to confuse you) to know WHERE genji drops. Here he was blindly hoping to see, then guess to find genji then gave up giving him free ult charge. Either let out the punch or cancel it, and make a faster choice i.e cancel shoot genji if you think you can kill him or disengage, you took too long to make up your mind and lost hp unnecessarily
team wasn't good either, i agree he focuses on rein too much, but if you're punching him and his team so low hp you can't help going "where the F is my team" a bad team that has low priorities and still so far behind screwing around and not backing up the tank or help really hinders success
I'm no pro, but Doomfist has less health compared to Reinhardt, so I wouldn't waste my time on him. Your main task is to kill supports or DPS. Plus, it is not necessary to engage in battle through a shift, as this is more useful for retreating. If you see that the enemies are covering each other, then it is better to stick with the team, otherwise you will simply die.
