07:10 no pun intended (also i have a cold so if i sound worse than usual that's why) if you're interested in personalised sigma coaching or you have a question you want to ask about sigma, join my discord and shoot me a DM - discord.gg/mgwRwwq
As a top 300 sigma expert that makes no content. I am very suprised someone giving good advice. There are some things I would have added or changed. like animation skips, diagobal shield and shield dancing. I would have addess self damage, but it sadly got removed so me sad. If you up, I'd like to have some sort of discussion or a congres to see eachothers playstyle and learn from how we both handle situations and why. Let me know if your respinse is negative. Would appreciate it lol
1:49 I'd also like to point out sigma is the best tank to block healing from a dive tank like ball and Winston since barriers block heals except for some exceptions like Mercys beam, nano boost, and Moiras orbs brig armor packs, zens healing orbs and Juno ult So you could also put the shield in front of the Winstons supports to prevent the Winston from getting heals therefore typically resulting in him dying before getting support. Not many people realize you can block heals with a barrier. A few examples include. Any support that requires LOS for heals Any support that requires their heals to connect with their allies such as moira's piss juice, Ana's healing and nade, life weavers healing but not grab, Lucio's beat, Transcendence (because both ults REQUIRE LOS) so sigma has potential to stop engagements from dive or even rush because he has so much potential. And I'm pretty sure Lucio can get his healing blocked by barrier since it requires LOS but I'm not sure. I know for a fact you can block suzu and her healing because it'll Collide with the barrier I've done this so many times where I've blocked the dive tanks supports from healing their tank and pressuring them out of their important CD's and people don't even realize what I do and it's just such a underrated mechanical skill ceiling for sigma. 9:35 I'd also like to point out you can block the LOS for lamp with your shield but that honestly is more risky typically 14:19 sigma vs doomfist can be difficult if the doom is genuinely skilled if he's always going after your backline but while he tries that you can block his heals with your shield while either helping your backline by rocking or just shooting him or you can pressure HIS backline since you arguably have more survivability then doom and better range. 14:40 sigma vs queen is a bit iffy for me honestly. But she fits more into brawl than anything else so poking her or just keeping your distance would be better for sig whilst if she tries to rush in deny her supports any value as their job is to SUPPORT their team during the rush. 15:03 sigma vs mauga can honestly be a good matchup for you as he has no way to peel for his team from a distance and like other tanks blocking los for their supports will typically result in mauga just falling over as you can't do enough damage to life steal fully due to either rock or kinetic grasp while shield can be used to do the dance with mauga I find it better to shield off his team from him to kill him faster. 15:46 sigma vs Orisa is honestly a interesting matchup because you both have great poke and great survivability but Orisa doesn't require life steal because she has fortify but honestly I'd just shield her supports again unless they're mobile enough to heal her 16:40 sigma vs rein is genuinely a crazy fight because he's brawl incarnate but I'd recommend to pressure him or his team from a distance
I commented this on this video. I suppose I could ask you too as you seem to know what you are talking about (As a top 300 sigma expert that makes no content. I think sigma is a great designed tank.Him being labelled as a very high damage tank is something I disagree with.Even if you land both 2 direct 2 ball hits you will not even kill a 225hp squishy with those 2 slow bursts. He is more great at marking and spamming choke angles and rocking the enemy tank
Yeah, his dmg is his space creation, since he doesn't have much utility to sustain space for long. It's just the constant threat of getting whittled down.
Any recommendations for ps5, im already do everything said in the video but i will learn to be better with barrier because sometimes i use it for no high damage area it's a big waste because I could use it better sometimes I can't do those 360s anymore because high sensitivitys makes primary weapon impossible to aim im running 94 vert and 94 horizontal anr 99 aim assist smoothing
Hello, I am enjoying your guide but I find the terms you use to be confusing. Is there another guide I can watch that explains in detail what bunkering, marking, etc means?
that'd be a good idea, making a video on more complex overwatch terminology, i'll consider that for the future In terms of the terms you listed - bunkering is a synonym for 'turtling' - in effect, playing in enclosed spaces, reducing the angles you can be shot from, and being surrounded with a plethora of walls and natural cover marking is a term taken from soccer/football - originally, the term in those sports is 'man marking' which refers to a player following another certain player, but the overarching idea is that if a player marks another player, they're paying attention to them. So if I say sigma needs to mark an Ashe, I'm saying he needs to pay attention to her, and the way he does that with his kit, is by throwing his shots and shield in her direction
Yeah a video on OW terminology would be useful. For marking, it's a term borrowing from soccer that means to closely guard someone. But in an OW context it means to apply pressure to someone so they can't do what they want for free. But I don't know what bunkering is and I couldn't find a convenient reddit question for it.

Another thing for grasp is bap lamp, you can commonly see KSAA grasp his immo because it covers it pretty well
