Hey guys Andy here again, Hope your enjoying the series so far. A lot of people complained about the length of the last episode, and to that I say, this is a mini series, and it was produced in a very short space of time, with an episode coming out 2 days still being made, thats how close to release these are. Please keep that in mind before slamming that dislike, I worked hard to create a small gift to you guys. To those who enjoyed it regardless, thank you, I'm happy you enjoy the hard work thats gone into this. Anyway, here's day six, half way through already. Enjoy! Andy
+A+Start Well, I don't get people complaining that episodes are short. Sure, but it's also a DAILY series. Like, Glitchmas episodes released so far add up to over half an hour of runtime, so almost twice the length of a regular weekly episode, and we're only halfway through. If this pace is gonna keep up, we will be getting an hour of Son of a Glitch content in 12 days, which is significantly more than usual, and it also offers a change of pace with focus on less known games without too much glitches. So we're getting more content, more often, and more unique compared to regular episodes. There's absolutely nothing to complain about.
The last "invisibility" glitch is actually a pretty common emulation problem. The rider you bump into (an the player) can "desync" with the track sometimes, as seen in your footage (the other guy went floating while your character sunk down into the snow). :D
Similar trick in Elysium Alps! About 1/3rd into the course will be a straight section with three jumps in the middle flanked by a silver rail on the ground on each side. Hop onto one of the rails from the OPPOSITE direction and you'll go through the ground and start falling. Works just like the first two glitches in this video, just hit Select when you see the course again!
when i did this glitch by accident, i was laughing really hard cause when i touched the void area and got reset in track, i was very far away from the other riders, that was freaking funny, the same thing happens on the other rail but the final result is not the same, i pulled this on the Xbox version of the game, Tokyo Megaplex has a similar glitch, at the start of any event, do not exit the start point and try to make some air boost and then go all the way up the start point using your boost and you can clearly see a big area where is supposed to be the crowd but the developers never thought someone was going to go back on that area and there's nothing there, this glitch is also a bit hard to pull off. missing areas are present again and you can fall through the course until you hit the bottom point of the stage and get back to almost the same point off the starting area and clear a lap, but it didn't trigger the lap count again but you can easily skip an entire lap abusing this glitch, the glitches mentioned on the video are present on the xbox, except the invisible rider glitch, but it does happen that the game sometimes pushes you in the snow the wrong way and also end up falling from the course until reaching the void area and start hearing an overplayed sound of reset to the point the sound clips, it's a funny glitch but still unfair to you cause all the other riders got very far away from you when the game puts you back in the track.
Andy I would like to say that I just love this series. Thanks for the amount of effort you put into it. I've been here since Son of A Glitch 3 or so and I've enjoyed every bit!
Andy is the best. Hard at work making a dozen videos, preforming these glitches, recording and editing the footage, and then recording the entraining commentary on top of it all. And he still takes the time to read and reply to comments. Top quality TH-camr.
I don't think you have to force void in Aloha. My memory of this glitch was that you could keep falling all the way and you'd land right in the last room of the course. More importantly, FOR SHAME A+Start! You missed my favorite high profile glitch of the entire game! In the level Alaska, there's a portion of the map with a wide open space, with a raised area in the middle and two valleys on either side. If you hang towards the left, the craggy wall on your left has a face completely missing that you can effortlessly board right through to fall forever. It's not easy to see from a distance, because the perspective makes it look like there is no hole there, but as you approach it, you can see it.
Awesome Christmas glitches! The second falling glitch in Mesablanca is my favorite! Plus I like your pun at the end of the episode. Can't wait to see the seventh day of glitchmas!
I'm not sure why some people are acting so entitled. I know that these videos are hard to make, and that you're producing them in a short amount of time means that there will either be little quality or quantity, and I'd much rather have quality, like the videos are now. So far I'm liking this mini series, and happy holidays to everyone.
On the 6th day of Glitchmas, A+Start gave to us. 6 missed triggers 5 bad guys beaten 4 life-risking traps 3 Gyroids 2 animals friends And a hedgehog quickly running!
Can do a similar course skip on Elysium Alps. During the part of the course with the central set of jumps and paths down either side (the bit where you can grind up the railing onto the stands or veer left for the shortcut before the tunnel), if you manage to get yourself on one of the grind rails either side of the central podium bit, and slide backwards towards the ground, you fall through the map into freefall, and can press select to reset further along the course relative to how long you waited; pretty funky.
Another glitch I spotted in SSX Tricky is in Elysium Alps - note that you can only access this glitch through Showoff mode. After the first initial jump, you should be presented with an extra rail that wouldn't otherwise be present in Race, Time Challenge or Freeride mode. This rail could be landed on to initiate a combo to get even more points before the first big drop, but if you have enough boost, you can turn yourself around, hop onto the rail going upwards, and boost towards the end, taking you through a section of the map you can then fall through. There are certain playthrough videos of this glitch being triggered in the GameCube version that show an extra ramp and a points bonus through here, but I've tried to see that same ramp through that portion of the void in the PS2 version and just end up falling through the map into an infinite void of skybox.
My brother and I had found a glitch that was on the city map. I don't remember the name cuz it's been so long but you could squeeze between two buildings and it does the same free fall glitch. I was hoping that you'd find it because that was the first glitch I ever found on my own lol.
In Tokyo Megaplex, there's an easier way to end up the track : once launched in the air by the fan-levator, mash the reset button. The respawn function has been disabled during this huge jump, but reabled one or two frames too early. If you press the reset button at the very perfect time, you will finish the race. There's also a void jump to make in Elysium Alps, at the very beginning of the track. You need a full boost jauge, to go far on the right, take up some speed and jump over the "bad snow" that will make you respawn on the track. Hard but if you succeed, you will respawn right before the glass slalom at the bottom of the track, which makes the track finishable in 90 secondes. It could also be done in Mercury City Meltdown, where a red glass panel leads you to a shortcut on the edge on a left turn, about the half of the track. Going on the right of the panel and aiming for the right side of the cop car will make you pass between two buildings, and you'll find a spot to dive in the void, without any "bad snow" to mess with you. Finally, the "invisible rider" glitch isn't a glitch. Simply a bad dump of the game that runs on your emulator ... had the same issue with PCSX2 and OpenGL or Direct3D when my rider hits another rider, its 3D model just gets the hell out of the screen, but it never happened on my PS2. Reset (respawn) to resolve this bug. Peace out !
On the sixth day of Glitchmas A+Start gave to me: Invisible boarders; Batman Returns; Sledding up a house; Walking on tables; Reverse Bee Adventure; and a few glitches from Sonic R.
I bet Andy doesn't take the inappropiate comments seriously. I like your series :) Even short videos, you have a smooth voice and you are a quite talented host too. Keep it up man :)
Fun fact! Tokyo Megaplex has another one. When going up the big fan at the beginning, you will be unable to reset your character until you get out of the fan. If you time it correctly, reset the second you pass the border to reset your character and you'll land directly in the finish line
So I am fairly new to this channel, but I must say I really love your videos! Even though I hardly played any of these games (is that normal for a 19 year old or not?:p), I quite like watching this. Keep up the good work!
I was never into snowboarding games either (same goes for extreme sports games), but I have played game demos of a snowboarding game known as CoolBoarders 2001, it was okay.
The last glitch happened to my friend while I was watching him playing, I asked him about it and all he said was "It happens sometimes", maybe it's more prominent at 50FPS? Since I live in a PAL region.
What's the music in your introduction from? Also, at 1:30, you said not to hit any trees, but you still nicked one during your jump. Just thought I'd point that out :)
1:30 You say you need to make sure you don't hit the trees, but you then proceed to hit the last tree twice in a row. Is this necessary to jump further or doesn't it matter?
It's easier to glitch to the end in Tokyo Megaplex by pressing the reset button on the controller when going up the fan. Just keep hitting the button cause the game won't let you reset until your at the top. I kinda think the terrible landing detection(don't know what else to call it) on some moves should be on this but I also don't think so. Mac's R, and L ubers are probably the biggest offender of this considering you can land things when the board isn't even facing the ground or even attached to his feet. This is all on the Gamecube and I don't know about how exactly the other platforms work regarding all of this.
There is a waaaaay more simple way to achieve the Tokyo Megaplex glitch. Just enter the pipe in a way you hit its right wall. Then mash DAT select button ! It is way easier even if you will finish the race 4-5 seconds later than if you used the glitch A+Start presented.
Hey Andy, when you do the invisible glitch, does it disable your hitbox as well? this is something thaat happens frequently when I attempt to run the game on an emulator.
The first glitch: *DON'T* hit reset ! Instead wait a little further until the game automatically resets you. You will end up right in the final tunnel before the finish line. The tokyo megaplex glitch is so damn difficult. You'd have to use save states. And I've only seen the model drift on the PCSX2. I feel like using actual hardware fixes that.
If you play a character, board, and track enough times on the same game mode the game can’t take it anymore and defaults the hands and head of the character to polygon mounts. A black triangle for a head and two black spheres for hands. Dunno what causes this glitch but it freaked me out when I was a kid

I love the subtle pun in "I dont see anyone else doing this trick"
Glad someone else caught that.
Glad someone else caught that.
yes because the game is called ssx TRICKY
this is my second favorite snowboarding game. right after halo 5
Halo 5 10/10 snowboarding

SSX On Tour... A gaming gem that no one even knew about..
i know about it, it was good but it didn't felt harder to me, SSX 3 was really fucking hard compared to Tricky and On Tour.
Ssx tricky 😮 you feel that guys? That's sweet nostalgia
this series has been absolutely awesome! Great format, great style, great information.
This series is so fun and festive and is really helping me get in the Christmas spirit!
That sweater is STILL amazing btw. :T
I'm really enjoying this series, it's nice to have a small glitchy video every day to watch! ;)
I'm not sure why some people are acting so entitled. I am loving these episodes ^w^ Good job, man! Keep it up!

Tjis is the best christmas series on youtube!
My brother and I had found a glitch that was on the city map. I don't remember the name cuz it's been so long but you could squeeze between two buildings and it does the same free fall glitch. I was hoping that you'd find it because that was the first glitch I ever found on my own lol.
This series has been great!
Ngl, your delivery of those "jokes" is on point.
Ah memories playing this. Wish my PS2 worked. i want to play it again. So bad.
Everytime the song came on, I started singing to it.
i love these series, everyday i cant wait for the next episode
Really liked this one. Gonna dig this gem out to give these a go.
i absolutely loved ssx tricky, time to play it again and perform these tricks.
Looking forward to these every day so far man, keep it up :)

I used to LOVE this game! I need to play it again soon!
Loving this mini serie
What's a serie?
A new A+Start video
It fills you with determination
I bet Andy doesn't take the inappropiate comments seriously. I like your series :) Even short videos, you have a smooth voice and you are a quite talented host too.
Keep it up man :)
New to the channel, love this series. Happy Holidays and keep it up!
I LOVE this game! This was one of the first games I ever got for my original Xbox!
SSX is like the shit, that game was so fun to play.
Ahhhh, this game gives me so much nostalgia.
Great vid man! I love your channel
this was my childhood game, thanks for the video.
I used to always play this game as a kid! OMG i love this game :D
I recall once playing this and having a headless Kaori, it was a fun race
Fun fact! Tokyo Megaplex has another one. When going up the big fan at the beginning, you will be unable to reset your character until you get out of the fan. If you time it correctly, reset the second you pass the border to reset your character and you'll land directly in the finish line
OH MY GOD! I used to play this game all the time but I couldn't remember the name! Thanks so much :D
Where can i get my hands on that sweater??
I love your videos Andy keep up the good work 😃!!!!!!!
SSX Tricky was the bomb! I played it on my GBA all the time!
my favorite ps2 game
This game was my childhood 😂 wish I still had it
You rock! Keep up the good work, and merry Christmas!
So I am fairly new to this channel, but I must say I really love your videos! Even though I hardly played any of these games (is that normal for a 19 year old or not?:p), I quite like watching this. Keep up the good work!

Nice one.
Loving this series!

This is awesome! Your doing a great series!
Oh man I loved this game so much. Psymon is confirmed for the best character
Psymon is hard to start out with ;-; (Not as hard as Marisol or JP tho xD)
The character being invisible etc happens when u emulate the game on a pc, it doesnt happen on PS2
Yes it does, it happened to me many years ago playing on my PS2
What's the music in your introduction from?
Also, at 1:30, you said not to hit any trees, but you still nicked one during your jump. Just thought I'd point that out :)
I don't even know what this game is, but I'll watch it anyway since it is almost Christmas!
1:30 You say you need to make sure you don't hit the trees, but you then proceed to hit the last tree twice in a row. Is this necessary to jump further or doesn't it matter?
Whenever I try the Mesablanca one, it always resets me before I get to the part where you jump

I'm pretty sure that 'invisible glitch' is a emulation glitch.
Another awesome video andy! Good job 😊👍
We're half way through this now : D
No legs in the video?
Now that's some _tricky_ glitches.
Wow I used to have this game, Eddie was my favorite
I actually loved this game even though I didn't care for snowboarding games either!
That joke at the end was good
oooohh we're halfway there!
DANCE! FREE TO ROCK AROUND TO ROCK AROUND THATS RIGHT ON TIME ITS TRICKAYYY
I remember playing this game when I was young and liking it, too bad I can't play it now
I hope that you do Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games. I ran into a few glitches myself while playing that one.
This is a great series. Very.. Christmassy :)
Ahhh, I LOVE SSX Tricky.
0:18 Name of track please? I don't remember seeing it in the years I played this game. Not even once
Aloha Ice Jam, one of the hardest ones if not, the hardest.
Was that DJ aphrodite in the background? One of my favorites.
You have taste!
There is a waaaaay more simple way to achieve the Tokyo Megaplex glitch. Just enter the pipe in a way you hit its right wall. Then mash DAT select button ! It is way easier even if you will finish the race 4-5 seconds later than if you used the glitch A+Start presented.
I've never seen the last glitch on real console hardware. Only on PS2 emulator.
Hey Andy, when you do the invisible glitch, does it disable your hitbox as well? this is something thaat happens frequently when I attempt to run the game on an emulator.
The first glitch:
*DON'T* hit reset ! Instead wait a little further until the game automatically resets you. You will end up right in the final tunnel before the finish line. You can finish the race in just under a Minute like that (my record is a 0.56)
The last glitch only happens on emulators. (Maybe the later PS3 models that used PS2 emulation as well)
Hey mn i tried your glitch at Tokio Mehaplex and i found an easier way to skip 3 laps you need to get into the giant air jump thing and just spamming the (i did it on PS2) select button and then you respwan straight in the finish line
one of my favourite games,Put so many hours into it
The tokyo megaplex glitch is so damn difficult. You'd have to use save states. And I've only seen the model drift on the PCSX2. I feel like using actual hardware fixes that.
the model drift glitch occurs when you come in collision with other racers.
I thought this was about a game named SXX that had glitches that were tricky to perform! XD
I am watching the full series
I remember owning this as a kid.... I actually think I still have it somewhere in my house
If you play a character, board, and track enough times on the same game mode the game can’t take it anymore and defaults the hands and head of the character to polygon mounts. A black triangle for a head and two black spheres for hands. Dunno what causes this glitch but it freaked me out when I was a kid
Ooooooh i have this game, this is going to be a fun night.
