Tie dye. Bright colors are traditional but fall and neutral colors look good to. Light pastels probably fade too much. Some people still add patches and other embellishments. I think an iron on of your crow would be good merch. I never buy things from TH-camrs though. I'm trying not to add to my positions.
This video was soooo 2024. "Instagram fed me this product that I like but felt was absolute trash, so I thrifted a better product, DIY'd the design via AI (which let's be honest those crappy shops are doing anyways 😆) and then complained about how long it took". 100% loved every second of this video.
I have seen those exact octopus trousers and exactly like you I realised the website has stolen the image from somewhere and is reproducing them as fast fashion, but unlike you that’s where I left it, am so impressed with your problem solving skills and the result is amazing I would be so proud xx
I bought a shirt…..it’s ok but definitely a knock off…..I wish I could find the original……I tried….but there are loads of companies ( probably the same one!) selling them…..
Not really stolen, it's a free image, you can put it anywhere if you like. I picked mine up on a victoriana page, with free clip art. Can't remember the name, but maybe you can Google it?
@@KatieMakesStuff I get lost “researching” projects on a daily basis, so I feel your pain!😱 But this… it turned out absolutely gorgeous! Five stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! I’ve been obsessed with those octopus pants ever since the advert popped up. I also love the cherry blossom ones. Very chinoiserie vibes. Once again, your work is astonishingly beautiful. Oh, and I’m sorry about the Joanne’s fabric. That was just cruel. I’m pretty sure I saw very similar fabric on Etsy when I was looking for dark cottagecore inspiration. I hope you find it again. Your impulse to put it on the wall behind those pictures was spot-on. Keep up the beautiful work so I can vicariously live through you!❤️❤️
For the white jacket, paint (or embroider, or whatever, or a combo) a mossy mushroom scene. Be inspired by the out of stock fabric from joanns. Don't just keep the scene on the back, put something on each area. Love the crow robe.
Nice work! I've stencilled a similar jacket to the white one with gears & cogs for a steampunk look. I used metallic Liquitex paint as that's suitable for fabrics without adding any fabric medium.
I have a little advice: get a plastic squeezble bottle with a needle tip. Fill in the paint and use it to draw the details. It is soooo much faster. Love that motiv!
For the white jacket I suggest a pirate / maritime theme. Have a treasure map, a compass, an anchor a skull. Ships are nice, too! And fishies. Or sea monsters. Or both. There be dragons!!! I painted and stamped a leather bag this way 😁
This is absolutely gorgeous. I love the way you rendered the crow. As for the white jacket, my immediate thought was to paint feathers as if they were pushing through the shoulder seams and draping down the arms. Kind of a “trying to hide wings under my clothes” vibe. Hmmm… i might have to do that myself 😂
Amazon has the almost exact mushroom print, the same "reuseable" wallpaper (meaning it is not permanent so it can be used for apartment renters and such) I love the jacket/robe! Corvids are magical!
Have you ever tried using your laser cutter to make a large block print? You can roll the ink on it and print it on the fabric. Or you can just cut out your own block print if you ever want to make multiples.
I really enjoy your videos ✌️ your numbers will keep on rising you’re too good at this ( by just being yourself) nice varied subjects of the creative kind.
Unfortunately, because it's a hallway I can't get the projector far enough away from the wall to get the size right. If I could get another 3-4 feet away, it would work. But I may try making some stencils and see if that works
@@KatieMakesStuff You could also do it as a pencil line outline on paper pinned to a wall that does get you the right size. Then transfer it onto the wall you want via the “carbon paper” method. 🙂
On the white jacket - a black fabric skull from a tone on tone black batik print with bright colored florals coming from the top of the skull. Continue the bright florals around to the front and the sleeves.
Love that robe, totally awesome. Ref the jacket, need to do your logo on it and wear it out and at markets instant free advertising if your awesome brand
Beautiful! For the jacket: moth/s if that’s your vibe (what’s that one with a skull - death’s head hawk?); creepy forest with hidden beasties; something from the folk tales of your ancestors. There’s this interesting method of dyeing with dye in a spray bottle (I’m thinking indigo or purple or nice moody shades) and stencils or masks. I believe it can also be done with bleach on dark colours to get a reversed effect. You mask off areas, spray the dye, re-mask (different areas, different shapes), spray a new layer, etc. The overlap areas get more intense colour but the overall effect is quite impressionistic because of the spray. Masking material can be something like paper or plastic or fabric, or natural materials like leaves, twigs etc.
Wow! You did a great job on that! Thanks for sharing. I have a white denim jacket I've been saving for some embellishment as well. I was thinking words, like graffiti...but that's as far as I've gotten 🙃 Can't wait to see what you do!
You could screen print it. If you have a cricut or similar you could cut the design on vinyl to use as a resist. Or low budget, use pantyhose or tulle and school glue. Threadbangers had some tutorials on YT back in the day.
You might want to try a Frixion erasable pen for fabric to help you with the drawing, if you don't like what you draw you just pass an iron over the fabric and it goes away. Love your design🎉❤
I switched from the pencil to a frixon pen after the first letter but completely forgot to mention it. I wish they had the pens in white so I could use them on black fabric.
I wanted a pair of the octopus trousers but, thankfully, my common sense kicked in too & convinced me that pictures aren't always as they seem. You've created something 100% better though, it's stunning & I definitely have Crow envy 😂😂
Do a botanical image or antique style anatomy on the jacket. I love botany, I'd probably be the local herbalist if the world ended. I'm familiarizing myself with local fever reducers now.
I would have used my laser printer to create a stencil then used it like a complete screen print by going to find a thin mesh for the back of the stencil, or better yet sandwiched between two of them.
Omg I clicked on your video because the title made me laugh! Stayed around to watch and I’m so glad I did! You are so creative and talented. The robe looks incredible! I’m definitely a crow lady so I really enjoyed it! Can’t wait to see what you come up with for the jacket!❤️
I would put a picture of an artsy skull on it, maybe some skeletal arm bones and joints, maybe your skeleton where the bones would be like ribs and back…something like that.
This is my first time watching hung one of your videos and I subbed immediately because your idea for the robe was so cool. I love how that robe came out! As for the white jacket, how about one of these two ideas: Either a Steam Punk timepiece like a clock, in the palm of a woman's hand. Or perhaps an old fashioned hourglass with a snake or spider climbing it and possibly with a skull on the ground in front of it. I know you like that slightly creepy aesthetic so there you go. With a jacket that size you don't have a lot of real estate to work on on the back, but you could always have the snake or spider as a wrap around on one of the sleeves. What do you think? I shall keep an eye out for your next video. Have a great week!
Thank you for sharing your process! I think your robe turned out to be a stunning one of kind. I might try my hand at doing designs on some of my apparel. Regarding the fabric you were looking for… have you tried doing a google image search to see if it shows up on sale anywhere else? The TH-cam channel TheStitchery has posted some videos about thrifting fabric-maybe one of her sources might have this pattern too. I think the suggest about an apothecary design for your white jacket could work too!
Google lens was the first thing I tried hoping I could find it somewhere else but no luck. I'm hoping that either it comes back into stock or another company gets it eventually. It'll be my white whale for a while I guess
The robe turned out great! I really like the idea. ❤ As for the white canvas jacket... if you only have black paint, then I would suggest to decorate it with a floral pattern or with just leaves. You said you're not exactly a fan of the octopus, but in this case the octopus drawn on one shoulder blade with tentacles on the shoulders and one wrapped around one sleeve would be very cool. 🤔
What do you think I should do with my white jacket? Leave your ideas below!
I love it! It was seriously a lot of work but looks amazing.
Tie dye. Bright colors are traditional but fall and neutral colors look good to. Light pastels probably fade too much. Some people still add patches and other embellishments. A soft pink or purple Lotus. 🕉️
Check out Elvis' jump suits for inspiration. Or "Nudie suits" worn by country stars.
A Banshee or a Kelpie.
"I can do anything! Might not be good, but I can do it." 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I need a shirt with this quote on it.
Omg, me too!!! 🤔🤔
I want one too. I want that on a shirt on a bracelet on a necklace on a notebook. Now someone needs to make them and sell them so I can buy them.
Yeah, gotta have that quote in a tee!
Something modern people have lost is that quality take time and effort. Great job !
I actually think some beadwork along the lapels and bottom would be really pretty
Me gustan mucho los cuervos ❤

It's my fatal flaw! I keep collecting projects but never collect more time to do these projects. It's a terrible problem to have, I know...🙃🙃
I bought a shirt…..it’s ok but definitely a knock off…..I wish I could find the original……I tried….but there are loads of companies ( probably the same one!) selling them…..
I am obsessed with those Octopus pants! They are so bad ass. However, I would never buy from anyone who stole art.

That is great! especially great is the "I can do what I want". Yes!
The algorithm sent me here. Then you 'meh'd at the screen at 00:06. And I knew this was where I was meant to go. LOL
Ha! Same here!!
I used to have a pair of jeans that I splattered with paint. They were my favorite pants for YEARS. I was devastated when I grew out of them
I love this so much I'm looking at everything I own as a potential candidate for painting 👀👀
That is such a cool idea!
Foliage on the front pockets would be amazing!
I thought about that, and maybe some raven footprints with it 🤷

I was going to say something along these lines! This design would be so great on a T-shirt or a bag, and you could do a whole run of those quickly!
That turned out gorgeous!!!!

I’m a bit obsessed with collective nouns, especially the crows, so this jacket is the best…EVER!! ❤️
