@Markus Patients dude I got a shit box Honda and the number of bolts that come from the factory on that car is already small how can you lose any more and still have a car? I had to take the door card off because when I brought it it came with 2 extra bolts, a cube of foam and a broken driver window. It wouldn't open. Apparently that is because the crane lifting the window is broken, so the dealership unscrewed the window and stuck a pvc pipe in there to hold it closed. And the pipe won't let the foam cube designed to stop rattles fit anymore, so they stuck an old sweatshirt in there.
My first car was a 1995 Pontiac Sunfire. Metallic pink. YUCK. I decided to spray paint the car lime green like Paul Walker's Eclipse. My first car was a 97 328i sedan automatic. I loathed that it was an automatic, so I took the shifter trim off and installed a boot to "hide" the fact that it was auto. Also, plasti dipped the factory 15" wheels, put fake M badges everywhere, had an autozone cone filter for the intake, installed cheap eBay headlights, blacked out half the tail lights, and installed cheap speakers that sounded terrible. Now I'm back in a 97 328i sedan, but its manual swapped. Also installed BC coilovers, Bavsound speakers, glass headlights, and spent the rest of my money actually fixing everything and eliminating all the leaks.

High Thomas actually I like underglow, I put it on my motorcycle. It’s easier to tell who your friends are. When we used to go out at night it was easier to tell where everyone was in front of you or behind you quicker.
It really just has to be done right. The car has to already look like it should be hovering... also hide the bulbs. Back in 1997, my car had blue neon bulbs.. 4 of them. I kept them from breaking (and hid the bulbs) by mounting them in u-channel (like industrial shelves are made of) ... sorry about the driveway stains... I was 17 at at the time. tinyurl.com/yau564es or tinyurl.com/yba9txv7 for more pics ... remember this was 1998 - 20 years ago ...
I’m 21 and I still use underglow. I am not a ricer, I don’t have any crazy body kits or wings or anything stupid like that, I just really like underglow.
i'm coming up on 35 and have an underglow kit awaiting install (when it's not 40 degrees with 20 mile an hour winds), I'm gonna wire it so it functions with the interior lighting, so when I unarm the alarm it comes on and lights the ground around the car (it's often dark where I park as there aren't street lights on my street or anywhere else other then the stores in town), the underglow I don't like is when a jacked up truck puts lights in the wheel wells to light up the tires, that shit just looks stupid to me, you should only see the glow of the lights and not the light source.
I've never done any of these because all of my vehicles have been work/family vehicles, but I'm finally getting fun cars so I watched this to learn from others' mistakes. So thanks ya'll
Oh God, the forgotten, repressed teenage memories that you just revived... "Whatever no-name exhaust" "Fake Intake" "K....&...N." Guilty on all counts. 17 year old me thought my Camry was so classy with the Autozone green LED dust covers. Three of which didn't work. Also, the $50 loud muffler didn't quite fit, so I used zip ties so it only sagged a little bit. Needless to say, my girlfriend's parents were very impressed with her choice of boyfriend.
I'll have you know that my Honda Civic can beat any car in the quarter mile I have so many stickers I basically have 1000 horsepower not to mention my auto zone exhaust Wich adds even more horse's
Dont let all this distract you from the fact that Hector is going to be running 3 Honda Civics with spoon engines. And on top of that, he just went into Harry's, and he ordered 3 T66 turbos, with NOS. And a Motec exhaust
I heated up the springs on a 1973 240Z to drop one coil. That car handled amazingly well after that. On my first car in high school in the early 80s (yeah im old) they came out with spray tint. Yes, window tint in a spray paint can. My best friend and I tried it on our cars and it was a disaster. Those were the days!
Oh man I can’t believe that stuff isn’t around in an improved fashion, I’d love to prep and spray some tint. They ripped into plasti dip here in this video but the 2020 product is waaay better than it was in 2008. I could see someone giving this another try.
I really haven't done any cheap or bad mods. I bought expensive stuff but it was well worth. The best decision was a $2000 exhaust system. It sounds incredible...
@@cmdrw9855 mmm... you have no idea then what you're talking about because there are people who have plastidiped show cars that look awesome. Maybe research a little bit

The fact you cant tell the difference says a lot about where your head is at sir. Also, just because a "show car" is plastidipped doesnt make it gods greatest gift on earth..people can still think it looks like shit. The phrase that comes to mind is..you can paint a turd gold, but its still a turd.. Another example, some people like the natural pitina of metals on cars and I've seen "show cars" with that too. You're right... you can paint a turd gold but it still a turd. The paint (or plastidip in this case) is not the problem, but the turd. You're talking smack about a very good product based on your own personal opinion, which I can tell even by the comments here and in many places that is the opinion of a minority of people. If you don't like it for your own reasons (which I don't know) that's your problem, but let the rest who do like it be and don't try to push your opinion as a fact PS. "We will never admit the stupid mistakes we made when we were young." . *HA!* My current balding 33 year old self is about to start modifying the same car I've had since I was 16 in the exact way my dumbass 17 year old self would believe was cool in 2004. Currently on 17s with an aftermarket back box, rest of the "zorst" is stock, and an absolute weapon of a cone air filter fitted to the whopping 1ltr 3-cylinder engine. . Near future mods will include; The cheapest coilovers I can find lowered as far as it can go. Diamond grills in the front bumper. Carbon wrap all over the interior and the entire roof. Try to find a working PS2 slim to fit in to the glove box with a screen in the passenger sun visor. Honestly, that will be pretty sick. NFS:U, anyone? Glow where ever I can fit it. Underglow, front grills, engine bay. And pretty much anything a dumbass 17 year old in 2004 could think of. . On a serious note, it's all because I've noticed a gap in the local car culture. There doesn't seem to be many, if any, mid-2000s rides around any more. I just kinda want to show off what we thought was cool back then ... and have a bloody good laugh at ourselves while I'm at it. I'm hoping to bring back a bit of nostalgia to the local scene. It's all for a laugh before anyone starts sending ricer hate mail my way.
You are my hero and I wish I was friends with you irl. I'm 38 and intend to do exactly that because I was too poor in the 90's-00's to afford the "pimped" rides. Honestly though, the one thing I miss about that era was the uniqueness. Everyone sought to make their cars unique and individual like a reflection of self. Like the F&F movies, the cars were characters all on their own. You just don't see that level of personalization anymore because everyone is afraid to lose a single dime on "resell"
@@beegeezee505 We're absolutely the same. I too had very little money back in the day so couldn't do what everyone else was doing. Still, unfortunately in the UK insurance companies are extremely biased toward modified cars and will hike the price of your premium up just for fitting rims, so even today it's difficult to get in to modifying over here - a price to pay for being a car guy, I guess. Since my original comment I've learned that a lot - if not most - of the cars from back in the day are still around, but almost all of them are stored off the road because it's just so expensive to keep them. Such a shame. As I state in my OP, my car is a pokey little FWD 1ltr 3-cylinder that had 59hp when new but my insurance company seems to think it's faster than a 350z.... Sure! So, I've since thought "Screw it!" If i'm gonna mod it I might as well attack the engine bay and drop a 2.3ltr Turbo good for 300hp in to it 🤣

When i was 13-14y.o i used to make cardboard+soda can+ducktape exhaust muffler i put it on my dad car and its change the sounds a bit and its make me happy back then, and i still keep the homade diy exhaust till this day in my garage lol
I'm 25 years old and I still want underglow and spinning rims. Anyone else remember those cheap hubcap spinners that you could get at walmart? Yeah, I always wanted to put those on my moms Cavalier when I was a kid lmfao.
The only thing i never got was why people hate plasti dip so much. Its very budget friendly when you consider other options like wrapping or powder coating. If done right plastidip doesnt look bad at all. I know im gonna catch shit for using it but just because you have a certain budget doesnt mean everyone else does. It would be nice to get back to being car people where we just respected other peoples builds regardless of how ridiculous they may be.
Cause be honest. If you have no money to pay for a good paint job or even real paint, you will have no money to pay someone to install the plastidip, therefore you endup watching you tube tutorials of how to plastidip your car and finally getting a shitty ass paint job.
I can't relate, I've always gone all out on my car or truck mods, and buy once cry once is what I tell myself, but at the end of the day you get a feeling of satisfaction knowing you got the best you could get even if it meant waiting longer...

4 of them. No complaints here. I just installed underglow a few days ago and I love it and always will.
i'm coming up on 35 and have an underglow kit awaiting install (when it's not 40 degrees with 20 mile an hour winds), I'm gonna wire it so it functions with the interior lighting, so when I unarm the alarm it comes on and lights the ground around the car (it's often dark where I park as there aren't street lights on my street or anywhere else other then the stores in town), the underglow I don't like is when a jacked up truck puts lights in the wheel wells to light up the tires, that shit just looks stupid to me, you should only see the glow of the lights and not the light source.

The cheapest coilovers I can find lowered as far as it can go.

Carbon wrap all over the interior and the entire roof.
