The Perfect Double Leg Set Up for Less Athletic Grapplers in BJJ & Wrestling

  • This week's technique theme has been 2 on 1's and Double Legs.
    The Double Leg takedown is one of my favorite takedowns, but you'll rarely, if ever, see me hit any sort of Double Leg Takedown from space.
    I'm just not built for it.
    With that being said, I wanted to introduce one of my favorite Double Leg Takedown set ups that works well, even if you're a less athletic grappler in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or Wrestling.
    Not everyone can be Jordan Burroughs and shoot from 6 feet away, but don't worry, there are tons of less athletic entries to one of the best takedowns in grappling/mma.
    What I like about this set up too is that it's pretty energy efficient. There's not too much risk.
