Anker's PowerHouse Is The Biggest Battery Bank I've Seen

  • The Anker Powerhouse lives up to its name: with 120,000 mAh/400 Wh of theoretical capacity, it's nine pounds of pure aluminum-clad power. When we talk about battery banks, normally we mean the kind of battery you slip in your pocket to power your Pokemon hunt. This ... is not one of those. Join MrMobile for the Anker Powerhouse review!

    [ABOUT THIS REVIEW]
    This video was published after four days with an Anker Powerhouse review device, on loan from Anker. This was enough time for one charge/discharge/charge cycle, during which the Powerhouse was used to charge a MacBook Pro Retina 15, Galaxy Note 7, Moto Z, and an undisclosed mobile device.

    Y'know I'm so glad you're talking about this and not the Note 7. Everyone else is still doing the Note 7 vs the Note 5; the Note 7 vs the S7 and S7 Edge; the Note 7 drop test; the Note 7 camera review, the Note 7 add nausium, it's disgusting. I'm just so glad you're not doing all of that shit, and you've moved on from the Note fuckin' 7, and you're getting on with the business of doing tech reviews. Good on you man... This is one of the reasons why I remain a subscribed fan.

      @MrEwanc 8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      AVA4444 I'm certainly not a rich man but I can afford one, I used to have the Note 2, Note 3 and Note 4. I was a genuine fan, they're brilliant phones, the best of the best, and at one time the only phone I wanted to use. I just prefer the S7 Edge, which is what I use these days (also have an iPhone 6 plus, and Moto X Force). I just can't believe the coverage the Note 7 is getting, Pocketnow for instance, Michael Fisher's old employer, are just doing oodles of videos on it, just about every TH-cam tech talking head won't shut up about it... I just think there are other techie things to talk about, thankfully so does Mr. Mobile. The Note 7 is no doubt the best phone around right now, and if I owned one I'm sure I'd be as pleased as punch, but we get the message, enough already, let's talk tech again...

    • @william6909
      @william6909 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nah, it's not that. I can afford one. But it is annoying, all those videos and 100 times the same thing. AND even ads are including Jon from TLD with Note 7. This world has gone mad! =D

    • @william6909
      @william6909 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I got myself a week or so ago the S7 Edge, too. Very good phone, and I enjoy using it. I have iPhone 6S Plus as my second phone, which I like for different reasons. I watched Note 7 videos, made the decision towards S7 Edge, and I am done with it. But those constant uploads of the same videos are annoying.

  • @jkacvbhijfn
    @jkacvbhijfn 7 ปีที่แล้ว +62

    This should've included a USB Type-C charger, since a lot of laptops support that now and that would be more efficient than converting from DC to AC to DC again, through the wall charger.

    I can see how this would be great for emergency power during storms and power outages. Pair it with some rechargeable flashlights and a radio and you'd be good to go. Or better yet, they should make a version with a built-in weather radio and lantern.

    ~33,000Wh in a gallon of gasoline, 400Wh in this thing... You've almost certainly held more potential energy in your hand before. Just sayin'

    • @terabera3390
      @terabera3390 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      The energy that makes up the matter in your hands could probably power your laptop for several lifetimes. Your hands have more power than you've held in your hands.

    • @groundzero_-lm4md

      Also a sandwich is around 450Wh. You have certainly held more potential energy in one hand. But unless you carry a bike-generator with you there is no easy was of converting that sandwich to electrical energy.

      That'd make a lot of sense, as it'd eliminate either the inverter, or a pair of converters (to 12 VDC, and then often step up, eg to 19.5 VDC quite often), and so improve efficiency overall where that's a goal with items like this.
