I got the original 737 for $100 in U.S. It came in very handy through my recent Pakistan trip where power was intermittent! Charging multiple GoPros, phone, and microphones. Very occasionally my laptop. I can’t imagine needing to charge at over 100W. So I’m still very happy with the previous model for anyone thinking about the new model.

P.S. i bought a couple 27k's and both have the problem where in the app, if you configure a device that is 17000 mah it will say that it will charge it only 1 time; also, if you create a device that has the same identical battery capacity as the 27k itself, wich is 27650 mah, it will say that it can charge it only 0.6 times, something is definitely wrong here, it might be a software problem altough as of today there is no update or fix in sight

great review and excellent production quality, will note one thing though the reason Anker and other manufacturers still include a USB A port is many devices still have USB A to USB C cable and not USB C to C. So, without a USB A port many peoples devices that have the original cable which is USB A to C (or proprietary) would be out of luck. It keeps everyone able to use the power bank as much as possible and not restrict it to purely USB C devices.
Great video. Very informative. Thanks for doing what you do. I used to ask myself the same question about USB-A still being on devices until I realized I still have some old devices that I still use that can only charge with USB-A. I ended up getting the 200 Watt version since the one in your review says it’s unavailable. Thanks for the video.
Thanks so much! 🙏🏻 Yeah, I think USB-A will be around for many more years so I guess having it here is good for compatibility. I think this 250W version currently has an order backlog which is why it says unavailable! Thanks for watching! ✌🏻
@@JCKRGB It charges my devices including the 250W Prime Power Bank super well! Been thinking of getting the wireless charging base as well. Loved your video, super well made. You earned yourself a sub!
To the charger part, had a 65w initially too. But got a 140w one now. The fast recharge is really what makes the Powerbank. Also 65w gets really slow when you have to recharge all devices.
There is something that you have to take it in consideration, the prime power bank supports supervooc charging while the 737 is not … my daily phone is one plus open, and my second phone is one plus 11 pro … and this power bank charge them beautifully at 65 watt ultra supervooc charging.
Some devices only charge from A ports - dont remember why. Something about the voltage of the devices - have a USB tpye-C rechargable fan and a lighter that only charge with an A to C cable
I have the original Anker 737 GaNPrime power bank and this one looks pretty cool. However, my current one is already overkill for me and I would rather get a power bank with a single port output of 240 W.
I'm a Powerbank nut, but I'm slowly coming to realise I nearly never use them. I travel a lot, but I never run out of juice on any of my devices. I sometimes get low at the end of a travel day, or when getting back to the hotel at night, but they never die. Device batteries last a long time these days.
@Scolopente saying that out loud is asking for trouble lol. Every time I make an absolute statement such as that one Murphy decides it's time to screw with me. He loves to prove me wrong 😂😂
so as I understand at the same time I can charge my MacBook m1 pro 16’ and get 140w and my MacBook m1 pro 13’ and get 61w at the same time with maximum speed? it gives you at two usb c ports maximum 240w at the same time? but at the website it says only 170w maximum at 50% battery capacity of power bank? don’t understand will I get maximum speed at two this MacBooks at the same time?
The 170W is referring to when you are recharging the power bank itself with both C ports. It’ll only reach 170W input after the power back reaches around 55% For output, using the two C ports at the same time, you’ll get up to 140W from C1 & 100W from C2 ✌🏻

I’ve been looking for something like this for my hyperpack so I can know what’s going on without rummaging around for the battery and unplugging everything to know what capacity my battery is at and monitor the charging of my devices / the battery.
Why oh why does it still have an A-port? Because there are people who also use devices that don't have a USB-C connection? Or is it because manufacturers know that there are a lot of people who have USB-A to micro-USB, or USB-A to mini-USB cables for their older devices that are still used? I have a specialized device that functions stand-alone for months using this powerbank through a USB-B port and I'm thankful that they didn't cancel the A-port on their newer products.
Would love to know how this is holding up for you since the reviews I’ve read thus far have said that either its died or its’ charging base stopped working or both.
Excellent review thanks to you. I have purchased the 737. Haven’t tried it yet. I just charge it fully and I kept it but I’m quite dizzy looking for the Bluetooth connection. I’m not able how to connect it to my iPhone 15 pro I have downloaded the application, but I’m not able to find a way to connect via Bluetooth to be able to manage the application With my power bank. 737 very much appreciate it if you can give me a clue
@ thank you so much for getting back so there is no use for purchasing the Anker charging station in this case. I’m fine with it. Thank you very much. You’ve been lovely.
It is reported by AllThingsOnePlace that the Prime 20K can only sustain charging 200W for 5 minutes after which it overheats. Additionally, for most of the charging time the power bank isn't charging at 100W, but at 50W. Charging time is substantially more compared to the 737.
Make sure Bluetooth is turned on. Press the side button to turn on the display, then press again to get to the Bluetooth menu where you can enable it. Then the app should be able to connect to it ✌🏻
Wireless means there would be a lack of a 'physical' connection and contact. Wireless charging will transmit through things, much like a case on a phone. This is more a 'dockable' charger as the pogo pins make an actual connection. Sorry, it does irk me a little when terms are not used properly. Look them up of you like, I'm not hating, just informing.
I have a question I’ll greatly appreciate your answer. When I plug in to charge my iPhone the w outage only stays at 5.7w not 240, 200, or even 100w. I’m very confused.
iPhones have a max wattage of around 29W, but they can only draw that much power for the first 50% or so while fast charging. After that, the wattage decreases to preserve battery health. Hope that helps! ✌🏻
I want a powerbank that can charge fast when I need it, and charge slow when I don’t need the speed but want to go easy on my battery to save its health.
One point was not clear to me with the pass through section. Can I charge it with 40W type c and take out more watts than I put in? The use case is, when I am outdoor and I plug in a solar type c chargee , which can make 40W but I want to charge my macbook as an example. Certainly the battery will be empty at some point, but I can last it longer due to the solar. Thanks for the video !
Good video. I have one question. Do this power bank support passthrough charging? I mean charging devices connected to power bank while charging power bank.
My charging base will not charge the power bank through the pins. Worked once and now I need to connect a cable from the base to the power bank, defeating the whole purpose of buying the base in the first place! Any help appreciated!
Yeah! By default the screen on the 737 auto turns off after 30 seconds. You can use the side button menus to disable the auto turn off to keep the screen on (which I did for filming!). You can also turn the screen off manually by holding the side button for a couple seconds. Any devices connected will continue charging. The 250W Prime has more auto off options: 30s, 1m, 5m & 30m (or again, disable auto off) Thanks for watching! ✌🏻

great review and excellent production quality, will note one thing though the reason Anker and other manufacturers still include a USB A port is many devices still have USB A to USB C cable and not USB C to C. So, without a USB A port many peoples devices that have the original cable which is USB A to C (or proprietary) would be out of luck. It keeps everyone able to use the power bank as much as possible and not restrict it to purely USB C devices.
Thank you! And yeah that makes sense, good point! ✌🏻
Looking for details on the USB C to MagSafe 2 cable
It’s the one that comes with a MacBook Pro! Or you can buy one separately! ✌🏻
I’ve recently purchased an Anker GanPrime 150W charger. Before that I used my 67W charger that came with my 2021 14” MacBook Pro
Nice one! Thanks for sharing and watching! ✌🏻
@@JCKRGB It charges my devices including the 250W Prime Power Bank super well! Been thinking of getting the wireless charging base as well.
Loved your video, super well made. You earned yourself a sub!
Will charge All in one PC also in case we dont have Electricity ❓️
Please let me know
Got the 737 and I like not having to be attached to a wall like a dog.
Cool that there's a 100wh version now. But the 737 is just as fine tbh.
Yeah! OG 737 is still a really good power bank! ✌🏻
To the charger part, had a 65w initially too. But got a 140w one now. The fast recharge is really what makes the Powerbank. Also 65w gets really slow when you have to recharge all devices.
Nice one! Yeah it makes it so much better. Even if you forget to charge you can still get a decent amount from a quick charge while getting ready ✌🏻
OKAY!!! I'll buy the battery xD Loved your review! I am going to get one for long bike rides, and mobile streaming
Thanks for watching! Enjoy this beasty power bank! ✌🏻
Will leaving it on the magnetic charger for a long time damage the battery?
The Prime stops charging on the Base when it reaches 100%, so it should be fine! ✌🏻
There is something that you have to take it in consideration, the prime power bank supports supervooc charging while the 737 is not … my daily phone is one plus open, and my second phone is one plus 11 pro … and this power bank charge them beautifully at 65 watt ultra supervooc charging.
That’s awesome! Great point! ✌🏻
Hey bro what about the anker 140w wall charger can that work also to charge the power bank?
Yeah, that’ll charge it too! ✌🏻
HI did you know whether the battery cell is 21700 size cylindrical or soft-packed?
Some devices only charge from A ports - dont remember why. Something about the voltage of the devices - have a USB tpye-C rechargable fan and a lighter that only charge with an A to C cable
Yeah! Having the A-Port is still good for those random older devices ✌🏻
I have the original Anker 737 GaNPrime power bank and this one looks pretty cool. However, my current one is already overkill for me and I would rather get a power bank with a single port output of 240 W.
Nice! The 737 is ace. I wonder when we’ll start seeing power banks with 240W out from a single port.. 🤔
Whats the point of it? What device can take 240W?
Future laptops @@sl0f1n93
Just got the anker 250w for $87. Very nice power bank gets charged fast with my ugreen 100w
That’s an amazing deal 👀
Is there anyway to slow charge the powerbank to protect the battery longevity?
Yep! 5:59 You can enable optimised charging for input / output at set times ✌🏻
It isnt on Amazon. Will it get restocked soon??
I think there might be a backlog of orders at the moment! Hopefully it’ll be back soon! ✌🏻
Can this super fast charge an s21 ultra
I wondering does it support pass through charging? I'm planning getting one
Yes it supports pass through! ✌🏻
Yeah true! Would be nice to have a big leap in battery tech like we’ve had with cameras and processors! ✌🏻
@Scolopente saying that out loud is asking for trouble lol. Every time I make an absolute statement such as that one Murphy decides it's time to screw with me. He loves to prove me wrong 😂😂
Excellent video, just bought the Prime with the Charging base and got it yesterday due to this video.
Nice one! Glad you found the video helpful! ✌🏻
Maybe there's an issue with it since I can't find it anywhere, says out of stock on Amazon too.
It’s been going in and out of stock a lot lately, I think there’s a lot of demand for it. Keep an eye out! 👀
I'm using the UGREEN USB C Nexode 200W Plug 6 Ports GaN PD as my main charger.
Ok, I can find what you describe on the manufacturer's website! But some tests? What is the useful capacity? What is the percentage of effectiveness?
When is this going to be for sale?
It’s out now but I think they have a backlog of orders! I keep seeing it go in and out of stock ✌🏻
can it be charged while charging other devices?
Yeah it supports pass through! ✌🏻
A question for the 250W to charge it, do you necessarily need a wireless base or can it also be charged connected?
The Charging Base is optional, you can charge the Prime 250W with a cable ✌🏻
Scratch magnet. Why do companies use piano black gloss finishes? The first time its wiped down it will create scratches no matter how careful you are.
so as I understand at the same time I can charge my MacBook m1 pro 16’ and get 140w and my MacBook m1 pro 13’ and get 61w at the same time with maximum speed? it gives you at two usb c ports maximum 240w at the same time? but at the website it says only 170w maximum at 50% battery capacity of power bank? don’t understand will I get maximum speed at two this MacBooks at the same time?
The 170W is referring to when you are recharging the power bank itself with both C ports. It’ll only reach 170W input after the power back reaches around 55%
For output, using the two C ports at the same time, you’ll get up to 140W from C1 & 100W from C2 ✌🏻
Can you take it onboard and airplane ?
3:50 Yeah, in your carry on!
3:40 If it's charging wireless why it needs those pins? I have weird feeling that it's not charging wirelessly but it's charging via those pins?
Correct it charges via the pins having contact with the base ✌🏻
Wireless-Wireless charging is incredibly inefficient, while copper on copper charging is far more efficient
@@TheStopwatchGod Yep I know but he said on the video that it was charging wirelessly using those pins.
@@JCKRGB Thank you for correcting your mistake and taking feedback like an adult =) I commented about that same to other youtubers reviews and he went really childish and said that it is wireless because there is not wires :-D You did the right thing so thumbs up and sub for you =)
Anker currently has this 27,000+ Anker Prime power bank on sale at 31% off NOT including the base. Is it worth getting it now or has Anker given better deals before on this charger?
Sounds like a great deal! I’ve not seen it with that big of a discount before! ✌🏻
I just got mine for $129. Get it now!
Does it support passthrough charging?
Yep! 8:23 ✌🏻
@@JCKRGB I am very sorry for being lazy and not watching the video properly. Thank you very much!
@FaisalSO Haha it’s okay, sometimes you just need an answer to a question 😄✌🏻
Will it charge a 19.5 volt Dell laptop?
When does it release
It released August 1st but I think there’s a backlog of orders at the moment! ✌🏻
Just spent nearly a full day learning about power banks, watts, volts, mAh, different features of different brands. Your review, by far, was the most complete and informative. Thank you. Liked and subscribed
Let me know how you compare the Anker Prime 250W with Shargeek Storm 2? Which one would you go for and why?
Thank you! Glad it was helpful! I would go for the Prime 250W simply for the higher max total output and slightly bigger capacity. Love the transparent design of the Storm 2 though. Thanks for watching and subscribing! ✌🏻
@@JCKRGB The transparent design of Storm 2 caught my eye too but just saw a test review and unfortunately it doesn't do good at all in terms of heat dissipation and efficiency. Prime out performs Storm 2 in every aspect. Thank you again 👍🏻
I’ve been looking for something like this for my hyperpack so I can know what’s going on without rummaging around for the battery and unplugging everything to know what capacity my battery is at and monitor the charging of my devices / the battery.
with that wattage it should have A/C outlet because it already have enough power to run a 42" smart TV and Nintendo switch
A question friend, does it matter if the power bank is charged with another charger that is not from Anker or does it necessarily need one from Anker?
No you can use any charger. I’d recommend one that’s 100W+ for faster charging
I'm happy with the a port since a lot of cables I got are USB A to C or still micro from old tech.
That’s fair. Yeah I’ve still got a few A cables I can use lying about! ✌🏻
I like there being one USB-A port. This should definitely have more than two Cs, though.
Yeah I’d gladly keep the USB-A if we had a third C port as well! ✌🏻
Would love to know how this is holding up for you since the reviews I’ve read thus far have said that either its died or its’ charging base stopped working or both.
No problems here, both are working just fine! ✌🏻
The 737 doesn’t have Bluetooth, that’s only on the 250W Prime
@ thank you so much for getting back so there is no use for purchasing the Anker charging station in this case. I’m fine with it. Thank you very much. You’ve been lovely.
@Latitude2010 You’re welcome! That’s correct, the charging base only works with the 130W, 200W & 250W Prime power banks ✌🏻
Thanks for this review very helpful
Glad you found it helpful! ✌🏻
@@JCKRGBVery Helpful, now i'll look for it in our market..
all pwerbanks should have that Find function, everything really :)
Yeah it comes in handy haha ✌🏻
Did a search on ebay bluetooth fobs are real, need one for my wallet keys and phone, Christmas present for myself :)@@JCKRGB
It is reported by AllThingsOnePlace that the Prime 20K can only sustain charging 200W for 5 minutes after which it overheats. Additionally, for most of the charging time the power bank isn't charging at 100W, but at 50W. Charging time is substantially more compared to the 737.
Are we able to take this to airplane?
Can’t find the prime at Best Buy so I guess I’ll just have to get the 737
Not sure if Best Buy stock the new Prime’s yet! ✌🏻
How can i connect it to anker app
Make sure Bluetooth is turned on. Press the side button to turn on the display, then press again to get to the Bluetooth menu where you can enable it. Then the app should be able to connect to it ✌🏻
@@JCKRGB thx
Ordered Aug 11th still dont have mine!
Order mine Aug 1st when it launched at it took a few weeks. I think there’s a backlog of orders!
When I press mine loads of times in a row it shows some mean looking eyes animation
Yeah I discovered this filming when I tried cycling between the menus too quickly 😈 haha ✌🏻
I still have devices that come with USB-A charging cables so the A port on the powerbank is still useful.
Did you tried charging the dji drones battery?
Will this charge my Xiaomi 13T Pro at 120watts?
Thank you! Yes I mentioned this 8:23 ✌🏻
my biggest issue is that the in/out usb-C never charges the way i want it to charge
What is that one model without display cover?Looks cool. Searched 737 all with display covered. 😮
wait... did you just complain about the charging station not being heavy enough, and the powerbank having a usb-a port?
Fastest charger I currently own is is ROG Flow Z13's 140w charger. That's why I need this, because I have Flow Z13
Windows Tablet + Intel i9 3900H + RTX 2050 + 56wh Battery = Battery Anxiety
My charging base will not charge the power bank through the pins. Worked once and now I need to connect a cable from the base to the power bank, defeating the whole purpose of buying the base in the first place! Any help appreciated!
can i change the output power via app?
You can use optimised charging to limit the input and output during set times 5:59
But no way to set anything specific. Maybe they could add that 🤔
@@JCKRGB they can update the firmware I think will see. Tx
Bought the 737 off the back of your video, now holding tight to see when the 250 arrives on Amazon
I remember you commenting last time! Hopefully it's not too long, I think there's a backlog of orders right now ✌🏻
Just the review I was looking for. Very detailed. Thank you!
Glad you think so, thanks for watching! ✌🏻
Is there a way to keep the screen turned off even while charging another device? Asking about this and the 737
Yeah! By default the screen on the 737 auto turns off after 30 seconds. You can use the side button menus to disable the auto turn off to keep the screen on (which I did for filming!). You can also turn the screen off manually by holding the side button for a couple seconds. Any devices connected will continue charging.
The 250W Prime has more auto off options: 30s, 1m, 5m & 30m (or again, disable auto off)
Thanks for watching! ✌🏻
