Looks like they cut off the factory "dual" exhaust and instead put a single muffler on the driver's side. Muffler looks like a cheap Advanve Auto Parts special and sounds awful. Taking a nice sounding v6 (one of the few that exist) and making it sound like a turd (or a beefed up weed whacker!) 🤣. Just why?... WHY?! lol
Seriously though, this is/was made as a joke. While I may not like the exhaust note, the kid driving it probably loves it. So all the power to him to mod his ride however the hell he wants too. Keep on riding, modding and learning!
I've always loved the way the G37s sounded, this one makes a the engine sound awful. Although, I guess we were all young and dumb once. 🤷♂️😂 I must say, I'm glad to see the modding and car community is still going strong, even if their taste in exhaust notes isn't the best! Keep on modding and having fun with your rides guys, if you like it, thats all that matters. Stay safe and have fun ya'll.

Kid is living his monents. I also did some crazy shit when i was a teen. I remember putting cold air intakes and straight piping those old ass civics and honda accords thinking i was fast. I remember laughing to my self as i drove the old honda thinking i was unstoppable and had the best car in the block😂.

Lol that’s my old G. Sounded so good when I had it. That muffler has been through hell since I sold it tho. Never sounded like that. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but you clearly haven’t heard horrible if you think this is bad lol.

True enough! But I'm not hating on the G37, owned one for years and loved it. What this one sounds like is an abomination though of the signature 3.7 vq sound.

Used to hate the sound of VQ's until i realized i just hated the dumbass ricers that always straight piped them and with a proper exhaust like an invidia they sound great
They are one of the best sounding V6 engines IMO. Until you get into the high end cars most v6 engines sound like sh*t no matter what you do to them. The VQ, factory sounds decent. If you can lower the tone and make it livelier they sound awesome (not to mention the skyline twin turbo can bolt on and add some additional awesome sound effects! 😎). Lol

I used to have z1 downpipes with muffler delete til it was leaking so bad i had to replace. Got invidia catback with the same downpipes. I still think its too loud with the downpipes but invidia catback is great
hell yeah got an invidia on mine its not obnoxiously loud and sounds good when you start getting over 3k rpms. do wanna put some long tube headers though to make it a slight bit louder and better performance wise, while also removing that trombone like sound

Agreed! I do like what it sounds like alittle louder, there are several companies that make awesome exhausts for this car that keep the note but deepen and amplify it.
Hell, when I owned mine I simply did a muffler delete, which made it keep the note, but deepened it and made it abit louder. Sounded great and probably costed less that this guy paid. Lol
@@MotoGamingDad I’ve always been a big fan of how they sound off the lot. That’s a really rare thing unless you’re buying something sporty lol. I think a muffler delete would sound good and make that already nice sound just loud enough to turn some heads. Idk if I’ve come across one that had a delete like that though 🤔
My dad drives a QX50 and I’ll occasionally take it for a spin when I’m over there and always really like that low but solid sound it produces. It has almost as much hp as my mustang (profile picture). 😂 yes, they’re both a v6 👎 but still a ton of fun in sport mode!
@@ThatSoonerGuy that factory sound is great, just alittle quieter than I prefer. The muffler delete made it still pretty quiet up to 3k rpm or so, so town driving was still fine and not obnoxious. Once you put your foot down and got those RPM screaming, it made some noise and people definitely noticed. But it was that same 3.7 sound from factory, just alittle deeper and much more "I'm here and I'm moving!". 😁
Miss that car, think I enjoyed that car more than my 2018 Camaro SS (even though the SS was obviously faster).
I feel like it wasn’t loud enough, which is why I went with the ISR single exit route

Resonators would def help. The Rasp / vibration noise was terrible. Phone Mic doesn't even pick up half of it.

I have no muffler but kept the resonators in my G37 08 Coupe, personally I think no muffler AND no resonators just sounds too high … kinda annoying lol. The way I have it…. Has more of a lower tone, the bad thing is you can’t even discretely accelerate without sounding like you’re racing against Torreto.
🤣 I agree that muffler delete sounds good on these as long as resonators are kept intact. Removing resonators on a VQ engine is a recipe for a loud ass trumpet or fart can sound.

My ISR exhaust sounded a little like this but it didn’t have that much rasp in it after 2500-3000 rpm full throttle no rasp
Without the raspyness it wouldn't have been AS bad, was still too loud. I'm not sure why someone would remove a dual system for single, the engine was designed around dual and, generally speaking, duals sound soo much better.
@@MotoGamingDad singles make more power it’s not a huge gap I don’t think but they tend to make more power from what I’ve heard from most tuners
Single exhaust makes more hp and torque numbers I took the dual off my 370z and have a full tomei make 355hp with other supporting mods

A little bit of both honestly.. the low end tone wasn't terrible but even at low rpms was loud as hell. Then when he got on it the raspy vibration noise was just awful. When he first went by, he wasn't getting on it, probably 3k rpm at like 45mph and it damn near gave me instant tinnitus with my window down lol. I love the signature VQ sound and hate hearing these raspy ones, seems a shame to butcher what already a good note. 🤷♂️ jmho

Auto g37 with aliexpress evil energy fart can exhaust. Mine sounds amazing even though idk what exhaust i have the last owner put it on. All i know is that it looks and pretty much sounds like a Tomei.
Lol, ya the G is one of the few V6 engines that sound awesome, that 3.7 has a signature note that this guy obliterated with Chinesium chrome. 🤣
evil energy fart can and chinesium. Im dying. When i bought my G37 it had chain link fence piping as the exhaust. I added huge resonators and kept the remaining chain link post with no muffler and it sounds way better than most vqs i see around town
