It's waste of time getting the note 20 ultra has no led indicator. Note 9 is still the best.

Agreed. No compromises in this flagship at all and for the price paid, it could perhaps last for a good 5 years before switching.

I have a the note 9 which has the led indicator. Which the ultra 22 no led indicator if you're charging it you see the red on the top left. 100% I had to return it. My note 9 I have it swipe if you lock it don't do it. If I don't have my ear buds on & I go in to in my bedroom. And come back & missed a call or text. Ultra 22 S- pen is horrible & has no slot 🔐.

Good video! I had an s20 ultra and sold it and then bought a note9. I've been using my note 9 512gb for a year I love the note9 it has all the features and not a single feature removed the differences with the s20 ultra were very small so I chose the note9 and I don't regret a second

  • @peterparker2068

The S8 had the iris scanner. Samsung did some weird things with the features. The note 10 plus had 256 GB base storage. Then they downgraded it 128gb for the note 20 ultra. Then with the s22 ultra the downgraded the ram from 12gb to 8 GB. Samsung sure likes to nickel and dime it's customers on the base models.

I had to return the note 22 ultra no key slot. Note 9 is the best 👌 device which a lot people don't understand. Note 9 has the highest ppi 516 which has to with the camera is great. I only have used 28gb internal storage & put a 256 SanDisk in my note 9 which I'll never use. The note 9 is the best.

Agreed. Samsung absolutely peaked with the Note 9, to date, it's the only phone to have ALL of the following:
    - NO NOTCH OR HOLEPUNCH
    - expandable storage
    - iris scanner
    - headphone jack
    - notification LED
    - MST for Samsung Pay
(most of these are features long gone in 2022's so-called "flagship phones")
Additionally it was the first Samsung phone to have a 4000 mAh battery. If the Note 9 had also included an IR blaster, the phone would seriously have included everything but the kitchen sink. I'm still rocking it 4 years later, and apart from the dual camera setup that sometimes show its age, performance has been absolutely rock solid, and I could see this phone lasting another 2 years easily
(I did buy the 512GB version because I knew I'd keep it for a long time, and I think that plays a huge factor in its longevity)

What a gem. Still use one as a work phone to this day. It has a pretty easy life these days, but when I've asked it to step up to main duty, it's done everything I've asked of it. I haven't seen even a security update since June, 2022 unfortunately. Shame considering its among the best devices ever for biometrics. Mine will likely be replaced this year with something else, but it'll still be on backup duty for as long as it's able. N9 - Ocean Blue - 128. Note9 & 10+ are IMO Samsungs best ever.

  • @thedisconnectedwife4165
    @thedisconnectedwife4165 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Unfortunately, since cellular phone companies have made such long lasting relevancy in phones like the Note 9 (love mine) what's happened is now the carriers are now saying that since your phone (even though this phone can 5G) will need to be replaced because "We will be making enhanced updates to our service to give you the best experience possible" bull crap line. So it's basically extortion. If you don't upgrade your phone when we tell you to, then we will shut off your service. I'm livid with my carrier atm.

Samsung Note 9 is the last great complete „TOOLKIT” phone. What I trully wish , is that Samsung would release (when there will be a big breaktrough in phone computing science bringing the laptop specs to the phone without overheating) to build the ultimate phone that is around the Note 9 size but taller, a bit bulkier/Thicker for more battery and features, and have it be the ultimate tool, that would include the IR blaster and reader for programming, Radio reciever and transmitter, headphone jack with optical audio capability, side Case pins for extended battery case, normal (side or back) but also under screen finger print reader that can be disabled, 2x fully programmable buttons, and a pen with a better capacitor for 10 minutes of 10 clicks/second and 2 buttons that can be read up to 20 meters away (10 meters full signal) true Iris scanner and 24 MP front camera with 8k ultra wide capability, and the ability to use a crop recording with digital stabilizer and 90 degrees view for vlogging that is 4k and a more normal angle , rather then 160 degrees (8k) down to a more resonable 90 degrees (4k), also NO! under screen camera setup, but more like the note 9 form factor, but while also having a full 21/9 aspect ratio screen 4K CAPABLE, but that can go down to 1080p for the best battery life and performance, and having 2x front facing corner ambiental lights, that can be used for reading or for when you need wide ambient lighting, and on the back, an array light that has doual porpuse, wide field ring light (both ambiental close range lights should be able to change the temperature of the light from cold to warm light with ample steps between white and worm orange), with focused center light that can illuminate up to 50m for the 20x zoom lense, and the smaller ring light would be up to 5m for the ultra wide or 2x zoom. Also, it should have dual proper speakers for true mobile stereo, that also have ultrasonic capability, for pet training command use, or for emergency cases that makes an inaudible sound to humans, but the phone itself and rescue units with capable gear, can detect the sound to find the phone's location at least, and maybe also a GPS signal emitter. And call it (THE GALAXY TOOL NOTE 1) that maybe does not have the most powerful hardware, but it is the most versatile version for people that need a tool that is reliable in any temperature or scenario. (And this line of phones should have a new model each 3 years, and have them fully supported for 9, and security supported for 18 years) (Unless at least 50% of these options are in a phone, i will not buy an other one, at least not a samsung.). Sony has the potential of doing what Samsung does not anymore, Innovate. If Sony could find a way, through an UAG case partnership and Wacom pair-up, to have a secure side case pen that works at least as good as the note 9 pen, then it would out-sale Samsung just from the utilitary phone users that prefer the note 9 , and if they include a good pair up with raw HDR pictures and raw editing power, that is seemless and compatible to their amazing mirrorless cameras trough a multi-load and multi access points WI-FI system, then they will also sell the echosystem to photographers/vloggers/filmmakers, and also drive sales to their mirrorless cameras, because even if you have a capable day-day camera on the phone, you can't beat the raw performance of a big sensor with big lense, for the extra special occasions, or for professional users. Maybe even a much better drone that can use mirrorless cameras with an automatic optical zoom lens that can beat out all the integrated camera drones, through the sony echosystem wi-fi setup (bringing joy to the FPV drone users , to be able to do similar stuff, while also being able to gather amazing video and pictures.)

That's my dream note 9 until now 4years ago i am crazy to see with that. Note 9 is a monster and perfect note phone for me. Note 9 is support by android 10. My Galaxy A50s is android 11 one ui 3. But until now i want to change my mind. I will swap my current A50s downgrade to note 9. Why? Because note 9 is a flagship phone and my a50s is an midrange phone only. Next month i want buy for my birthday the ocean blue to a legit online store but 2ndhand because i can't see the brand new sealed. The store is more on apple products but they have old samsung android flagship phone.

They fawking removed the heart rate scanner so you could spend more money in Galaxy Watches.
Also, I think they could've kept the Iris scanner in a way they put two cameras on the S10+ and would've look something similar to that of the iPhone 14 Pro Max dynamic island.

Note 9 original just did a update firmware just to go through everything & after it update wax done say ok. Ultra 22 no slot 🔐. Note 9 does not ever got hot. Fast. I'm USA note 9 which photos you go in apps put the photos in apps you see storage it says change you leave your photos on memory card. I got the ultra 22 I have to return it & put it back in my note 9. The biggest change was when I had the niote 8 I was reluctant to go up to the note 9 & love it led Indicator. Awesome revisit for this awesome device. I am a little bit torn in here, I have a note 9 with a broken screen, so I'm puzzled as I can't seem to decide whether I should fix the screen or upgrade to a new note or the S22 ultra.
Watching comparison reviews, this beast is still going strong and the camera department is not really important for me to make an upgrade.
Lack of additional updates for the note 9 is what worries me, do you think if I replace the broken screen the Note 9 would still survive for at least 1 year ?

If the screen price is about 10-15% of the new S22U or S23U price they why should you pay for a new phone. One thing you might want to be careful with a display replacement is the water resistance capability of the phone that might be reduced due to new display installation.

The Note 9 will go a long way before apps won't support it anymore. It goes down to the android OS version.

The note 9 which the Samsung Galaxy 22 ultra is terrible. This ultra 22 has no led indicator when you charge in the note 9. The biggest difference I had the note 8 I was reluctant to get the note 9 which was greatest android. Ultra 22 has so many defualts.

Still happy with my note 9 512Gb, clear view cover case (from day one) and galaxy watch (the OG ) 😁. I had ready cash for the fold but didn't buy it because:
    No headphone jack
    No sd card
    No customer 🤨

I have the 512gb with the max amount of RAM you can get too. Its the best setup in my opinion. Along with the 1TB? (I think) upgradable storage. Whats not to love? :P

At 10:17, when you were describing a phone with a large forehead it immediately reminded me of the phone I'm using this to watch on. A Google Pixel 4XL. It looks goofy at first but you're so right about facial sensors being much nicer at times than notches. Especially for video. Anyways, it's the same tech as Face ID, so it doesn't work with a face mask, which was heavily annoying.
I have an iPhone X as well and i rarely use it now since the larger uninterrupted display is so much nicer. Great video!
