Crazy how people think they need to upgrade every year. You don't need to upgrade even once in 3 years if you are buying a flagship phone anymore.

EXACTLY! I just upgraded to the Note 9 last year and hate how people are calling me an idiot for not upgrading to the Note 10. I just don't see the point in upgrading every single year. I mean you don't NEED the newest phone right? I still can't believe so many people switch phones EVERY SINGLE year when they don't need to (other than phone reviewer because they actually have a reason to constantly switch phones). I mean one of my friends still has an Iphone SE which is perfectly fine. He doesn't care about screen specs and camera sharpness or ram and processor or whatever so its okay. Although he's considering on upgrading ONLY because he's in need of more storage.(Apple doesn't have expandable storage so yeah)

Note 10 +. Does have some minor improvements , but also some features deleted that some of us still value.
If you use Samsung health. , The heart rate sensor is handy to keep a check on the old body , and saves you having to buy a smart watch !
    Notification light,
    3.5 mm headphone jack ,
    The eye scanner,
The rear finger print sensor I actually prefer over the in display one .

While wireless earbuds are convenient - sort of, if they're charged, you're putting more radiation into your head and put more drain/demand on your phone's battery. I think the bigger bang for the buck is the N9, especially now, since the 9 can be had for around $600. Great review. Thanks.

I'm seeing some renewed Note 10+ phones for $205ish right now. & Note 9 for under $200 atm. Now's a great time to need a phone honestly since the price for 2 really good phones is so easily affordable & in my experience the Note 9 is durable, takes a lot to crack that screen, is perfect for just about everything.

Great video. I have the Note 9 and agree with your upgrade comments. You missed, however, 1 valuable difference between the phones: The Note 10 allows you to write into a video and the viewer sees it in an animated, or "live," fashion. This is very useful to video makers and might sway them to want the Note 10 - or find an app that finally allows this feature.

I decided to upgrade to the Galaxy note 10 plus. While I do think the note 9 is a great phone, battery life on my note 9 suffered after the one UI update. I have to say that the 12MB was a nice addition and I have noticed that my apps run a lot smoother. The video editing is also a great touch as well. There were also upgrades to things I use everyday like the Reminder, Calenders and Notification apps and procedures. So I have to say the Note 10 for the win.

I like your videos, the only constructive criticism I will make on this one is that it would make it easier on the viewer to keep track of which phone is which, if you keep them on the same side of the screen throughout the video, some scenes have the Note 9 on the left (probably best) and sometimes the Note 10 is on the left. Just a thought for consideration. Keep making great helpful videos. Thanks.

I have both. Note 10+ is a little more pleasant in actual use. But... As far as screen goes, they are much different in terms of color representation! And you also can see it in your video when play showing them side by side. Vivid mode on Note 10+ has almost the same saturation as the Note 9 in Basic mode. Whites are white on Note 9 and bjas to yellow on the 10. Reds are much more pleasant on the 9. Now, when I want to edit some photographs on the go (of my Fuji and Sony cameras)... Which of the phones is near accurate? The 9 looks more truer to what my pc screens show and this is driving me crazy. What's the point of editing a photo with a "corrupted" screen? Native cameras also show this. With HDR off, both have similar resolution, but the 10 is showing a lot more yellow bias vs green and brown vs red, compared to the 9.

Holding out on the 10 Plus until the holiday season. I bought a 512/8 gig Note 9 on launch day and it is a stellar device. Good batter stamina at QHD resolution, solid camera experience, the list goes on and on. Aesthetically, I wish Samsung went back to coloring the camera module in the same color as the rear of the phone. Never owned a white Note before, was considering one...

I went to a Samsung Experience Store and compared the Note 10+ with my Midnight Black Note 9. In terms of height, similar. Width, Note 10+ slightly wider. Screen real estate, Note 10+ has a bit more. But since my Note 9 is still in pristine working condition, I see no point of upgrading. Just because the Note 10+ has bigger RAM and storage, 2 extra cams and ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, it still can't give me the push needed to upgrade. Recently Samsung released an update for the Note 9 which includes Night Mode, didn't work well though as this is due to software issue, not hardware. Nonetheless, to upgrade the device for few features which I rarely use is a not a good idea. The Note 9 is still a capable and robust. Haven't had any issues with it since the day I bought it. As the saying goes, "If its not broken, why buy a new one" :p

The upgrade software had damaged my gps and iris functions too. Even i used protectors, the curve front screen was broken too. As a result, i just simply bought Note 10 LITE simply because of its flat screen. There's great confidence. I dont really bother about being exclusive because of its glassy backcover and comments on the punchhole of the front camera. I dont bother about wireless charhing too. I mean one of my friends still has an Iphone SE which is perfectly fine. He doesn't care about screen specs and camera sharpness or ram and processor or whatever so its okay. Uses a 1080p display and doesn’t have the extra camera options. It also have a smaller battery than the Note 10 plus. So yes I would continue to use the Note 9 over the Note 10. Note 10
Plus is a totally different topic.

Note 9 blows the Note 10 out of the water because of how severely they nerfed the Note 10. The Note 10 + is the better comparison. Superior to Note 9 in some important respects, but not THAT superior and the lack of headphone jack and the hole punch will push many towards the Note 9 which has the benefit of being much cheaper as well.

I'm so glad that someone made a video about the 9 and then plus only, I've been debating on which of the two would make more sense for me. Specs to price wise.
