I agree completely. Love the Note 9 and the Note fans want nothing less. I keep contemplating if I should upgrade to the S22 Ultra, then ask myself why? I only have one small crack in a corner and I dropped the phone a bunch of times. I love my Note 9! I get so much work done with it,
The main 2 things I hate about this phone is the lack of headphone jack and sad card slot. I may either have to suck it up and find ways around it or look into a different phone. Or I could simply keep my note 9 because it was my first flagship phone. But this s22 ultra looks nice
I love the note 9. With its notification led, heart rate sensor etc this phone is still a beast. I love it so much. I bought another one. Incase the one I'm using breaks i can change phones and use my other one yuuuuh!
I'm so used to the fingerprint sensor swipe down notification, takes a bit of time getting used to not having this feature. It's pretty convenient to be able to unlock phone and just swipe to check notifications with 1 hand
In terms of the BEST Note out of the series, I'd say the NOTE 4 was the best. Removalable battery was amazing. I used to have 4 spares with a few chargers, which made the USB cable irrelevant.
I had the Note 4 until I accidentally dropped it and it bricked the phone. I have had the Note 9 since it came out. It has a very protective case. I had the battery replaced a year ago. Still a great phone. I am going to keep it.
So, I currently have the rare Note 9 that comes with 8 RAM and 514 GB. This is the best computer/phone I've ever had. I'm so excited and glad to see the Note 22!
I went from the note 4 to the note 9. now I have finally decided to move from the 9 to the s22 ultra. it wasn't an easy decision. however, I bought my note 9 as a "deal of the day" by best buy for $600 almost 3 years ago. I was able to trade it in for $800 off the s22 ultra. I was probably only a year away from the note 9's trade in value reducing by half. The way it is now, I will have spent 600, traded it in for 800, and bought the s22 ultra for the $500 difference. the deal was never going to be better, but eventually my note 9 would need to be replaced.
Same with me. I started with the note 4 and now I have the 9. All I see is $200 off for trading in my note 9. How did you get 800 off for the trade in?
can you give me some insight as to what the S22 ultra is like? i'm the same went from a note 4 to a note 9, and recently my note 9 got the screen of death...was happily watching youtube in bed and poof! gone...so i have no choice to either upgrade or get the note 9 screen fixed, and im toying with the idea of getting the s22 ultra, any thoughts buddy?
I have both! Got two new Note 9s unlocked T-Mobile GSM versions which I will keep and a new S22 Ultra in Phantom Black. I've got the best of both worlds.
Hands down the note 9 was a powerhouse! The sleek design and thinness. The display and sound quality. It's was fav phone. Now currently on the z fold 3 but I wish my note 9 would've never cracked and battery problems. But it was a long 4 years!
I love my 512g Note 10+ but I still got the 512g S22 Ultra & now I'm regretting that decision & sending it back to my Carrier. My 3yr+ old Note gets better battery life than my Ultra! I'm having way too many issues with my Ultra & I've never experienced 1 single problem with my Note 10 Plus. This S22 Ultra is Freezing up, laggy scrolling on 120h & typing, over heating sometimes & all I do is watch downloaded movies & browse the web or stream TH-cam. This S22 Ultra should be polished, like my Note 10+. I'll wait on iPhone 14 Pro Max.. The Note 9 is still a great phone.
Note 10 plus is a good phone but the S22 Ultra is a FAR better phone. I own both. They just pushed an update out for the S22s that SIGNFICANTLY helped the battery life. Not saying the Note 10 plus isn't a good phone but its nothing compared to the Ultra, so stop fooling yourself
The thing about S22 Ultra is there is no microSD card in it, and for me, that kills the deal. I can have a 1TB microSD card in my Note9 for shooting 4K videos. So really hoping that S23 Ultra can bring back the microSD card feature.
Well, I get wanting the feature and not liking that it's gone but if you look around the landscape, there aren't flagships doing that anymore and it doesn't look like there will be in the future since they want you using cloud storage more and more. It's unfortunate, but inevitable, I fear.
I saw at my local bestbuy a type c flash drive (thumb drive?) That connects into your phone as an external storage. So in theory you could shoot 4K videos and save them the flash drive?
Got a note 9 here, it works. It's a phone, it does everything I need it to do. May not be getting any more software updates, but will hold on onto this for a long time cause phones are expensive.
I'm using the Note 20 ultra and saving my S22 ultra for next year. If you have the Note 20 ultra try using the expert raw with focus peeking and you will be surprised at what you can do..
With Samsung Note 9 you swap out snapdragon 845 chipset to Snapdragon 888 or 8Gen1 Snapdragon or 8Gen2 snapdragon all you need is donor Samsung Galaxy S line phone 2020-2023 and replacement battery Samsung Galaxy note 9 once have snapdragon chipset of your choice if you choose 8gen1 snapdragon chipset is a 5g, chipset in Samsung Galaxy Note 9 with 5G
Made the switch. Lost a few things but gains and a nice deal outweighed the loss and most can be compensated for with "outside the box" thinking: Negatives 1. No SD card..but got the 512gb version and the SD card was a nuisance to change. Embrace the cloud! 2. Fingerprint scanner. This one hurts a little. The fingerprint scanner on the back worked better thanthe on screen one. No getting past that. 3. No headphone jack. Got an adapter off Amazon so no big deal. Bluetooth better in the long run will switch anyway. 4. Notch. Not as big a deal as I thought it would be. Its mostly used by the notification bar anyway so in actuality it was a gain of screen space because on the note 9 the notification bar is below the blocked area. 5. No SP02 sensor. Meh..got a smart watch for that now. Positives: 1. Great deal on trade in. Double the regular trade in value at Samsung and even before that, they beat Verizon's trade in price. 2. 512gb version for price of 256gb version..which was already discounted :). 3. Camera. Probably the biggest improvement of all. Good trade off for things removed. 4. Android 12 out of the box. More to come. 5. Non-carrier phone. No bloatware.
Samsung when they announced the extended software support for the S10 series, they shoud give it to the older devices too, including the S7 as it was on oreo and still supported with security updates. same for the Note 10 series in 2022
how does it work? is it worth putin a custom rom on it and use it i mean i love the phone, and all that is no longer available. i'm debating between note 9 and note 10+.
still using note 9 since LAUNCH and PURPOSELY didn't update the software and is still like new. Until they release the under screen camera I'm not really interested in these new phones every year.
Yep, I thought it was time already 🥺 I had a great time with it but it felt like I was being left behind and I was coming across some apps that needed more power
The Note9 was the perfect Note. Just 2 generations before the end of the lineup. Fixed the issues of the predecessor and introduced more features that made it a truly complete phone. Shame that Samsung messed up the SoC and therefore performance was subpar. But root fixed it for me (though I’m still working on it). It’s a great device. So fast it rivals the Note 20 in raw performance.
Thank you for making this video, definitely helped me finally decide to move onto a new device, waiting to see what the s23 will be offering before I switch. The last 4 years with the note9 have been beyond wonderful but sadly its time to move forward since the phone will only be keeping us back 😓

I changed from Note 8 to S22 Ultra. Reason: No official security support since 09/2021 and I need the s-pen. Note 9 people need to change to S23 Ultra if they still want an s-pen and security.
How difficult are the new Samsung flagship phones to repair? I personally know the note 9 is very affordable to repair and replace any component with 3rd party replacement parts. The hardest part is getting the back glass panel off with a heat gun. The phone is very modular and similar to building a lego set. I personally have replaced speakers headphone jacks and backglass with moderate ease. Apple phones are totally unrepairable without Apple support. No 3rd party parts can be used with Apple. Seems like Samsung maybe following the Apple businesses model. Curious about how difficult the new phones are to repair and if the parts need to be registered or specific to the new flagship devices. It would be very neat to see a video on the repairability S22 Ultra vs Note 9 vs Note 10 plus. 🤔
The advanced 5g modem on the S22 Ultra is a great reason to upgrade. I am getting lousy reception on my note 9 were my S22 Ultra is amazing! No contest!

Q: How is s22 enhancing the experience when i dont get a 3.5mm headphone jack or expandable memory to things i use all the time. Like when I fly my drone I use the headphone jack with gaming headset to recor audio, or when i am streaming live on the go i use headphone jack wih microphone or on streamyard as a guest again, headphone jack with mic with on off toggle. I brag my note 9 512gb in to get screen replaced, when I came to pick it up the tech said he accidentally broke my phone, but he was getting me the s22 ultra 512gb. I am honestly upset about it. I am now buying another Note 9 512gb on amazon and most likely selling the s22 ultra. Samsung needs to bring back the headphone jack and expandable memory.
I was planning on keeping my samsung note 9, i had for a year untill both back and front screen was cracked bad, also tried fixing but couldnt because of curves
About to upgrade, the note 9 has stood well and survived so many drops and accidents, long wear from intensive gaming and software apps, some water spills, and a crap ton of junk in my storage. Still works great. I could probably use this thing for another 5 years. But nah, time for an upgrade. But man the note 9 is a BEAST.
I have a Note 9 and I love it never had any issue with it apart from battery replacement which for some reason in my country it's rarely available 🤷♂️ but luckily I did find a good one. I honestly want to upgrade to the S22 Ultra but I don't know, I've been hearing bad stories about it, like bad battery, glitches, freezing so I'm not sure whether to buy that or to wait and get the Galaxy A73. I know it's kinda weird deciding between a top end flagship and a mid ranger but right now in Macedonia the S22 Ultra due to shortages is $1499.. Whereas a Galaxy A72 is around $450 and the A73 is going to be around 500-550. I'll wait for the price to drop and see what's what. Or should I just buy it right away?
Still rocking this phone and I use the stylus to pratice drawing at the moment. SADLYYYYYYY, in the UK the trade in deals are insulting here... and even when the S22 was new they would have only given me 100 or less lol... I would like to trade in Samsung phones more often but again unlike US, even for last years flagship to this year they only give like 350 USD off ish where as I've seen over the seas you guys get up to 800 off?? I am thinking of going to the z flip 4 maybe but i feel the z flip 5 will be perfection so its either I hold on longer to the note 9 to see what the 5 will be like or just get the S23 Utra and call it day once more for a few years.
Geez, man, thanks for ripping the scab off the wound. Two weeks. It took two weeks after getting the new phone to do the deed. I was sobbing when it happened...
Yeah i love my note 9 too, watching this video on it and i'm actually waiting for my 22 ultra. But giving my note 9 to someone so hope it'll serve some next couple of years. The only thing is to replace the battery with a new one.
I like the Note a lot, too. That's not what this is about. This is about it showing its age and being out of support and getting the most for it while we can.
@@StevealiciousTech It will be a while before I say goodbye to this phone. Exchange it for something that has no headphone jack, that I have to use 2 hands to scroll down to view my notifications for. & tbh the camera quality is not a big enough difference to justify spending the $1200. Also I put both phones side by side and watched several of the exact videos. The sound quality is better on the Note 9. The 22 Ultra is not the upgrade we need. It feels like a downgrade.
Just traded in the note 9 for the s22U. Anyone know how to get the weblink from a screenshot? When I take a screenshot of Amazon, I just get a screenshot. I used to get a weblink attached to it. Any suggestions?
Unfortunately, this is the third time I brake my note-9 screen in 4 years of using. Screen replacement will cost me around 240$. I am using now S22 ultra for about a week and I feel it is the best choice to upgrade. I am still in love with my note-9 and if the screen did not brake I will not even think to change it. My opinion is if you have note-9 and if it is completely working fine just take care of it and do not upgrade. But if your note having problems and it will cost you much for repairing S22 ultra will be the best replacement.
Wait? What! They for rid of that feature that was so useful. I'm definitely going to miss a lot of things from the note 9 especially the oxygen finger reader and respiratory. Definitely going to miss the 3.5 Jack and will miss the LED notification that he mentioned
I just recently got a mint condition, used NON refurbished Note 9 from Swappa for 285 dollars. Runs like champ! I use it now in tandem with the Note 10+.
I just bought a new condition note 9 for $A315 which is 240 or so US. I also have a TAB s2 8.0 which goes everywhere with me, so I can watch movies on the go. I cannot see the point of giving up the headphone jack and data card for bigger tits in the UI . The sound card is almost as good as the Note 8's.... mine died eventually.
interesting, no talk about repair costs, what does a new display cost? back panel? battery? Overall, note9 will save you tons of cash, from aliexpress, you can buy 5 completely renewed 512gb 8gb ram note 9 phones, you can have a supply of note 9s for the next 10 years.
My note 9 speaker is playing up on loud speaker calls, fingerprint sensor peeling off and ghosting on screen from TH-cam. Should I upgrade to s22 ultra now or wait for s23. Hmmm
I have beat the living crap out of my note 9 and it's still incredible, huge props samsung, the note 9 is an absolute tank, but rly considering the upgrade
I'm in the situation as you are. However, I took the bullet and order the Ultra 22 as T-mobile's network infrastructure will not support Sprint's existing lines. The rep told me the devices start from S10 and below will no longer work effective 3.31.22.
im planning to buy note 9 for my parents but it felt like samsung phones with android 12 are the most stable phones like s10line and note 10 plus. theyre still on 450 to 500 brandnew tho
I am still using my note 9. And i love it so much. But i have had it since 2019 and it is showing its age. Mostly bc the burn in of TH-cam and tiktok on it. I plan to upgrade to the new phone but it still makes me wanna cry. It does everything i need it to do.😭
samsung has been using mcafee as builtin antivirus. so just pay and extend built in mcafee antivirus. it has antimalware, vpn and other security features. you could pay 1.49/month or 18usd for 12mos.
My note 9 is slowly dying and I'm thinking about switching to an iPhone pro because my needs are changing and I love my macbook. The note served me amazingly though, but I really detest the even bigger profile of the s22 ultra, I really can't go bigger
i recently just said goodbye to my note 9 and moved to the ultra 22. I am hoping i dont regret the move. i dont think i will. it was just hard to say goodbye to the headphone jack and the sd card.
I think phones with bezels are actually underrated. The s7 edge still looks like a work of art with its thick bezels. The note 9 is a beast of a phone, it should still be getting updated
I would badly miss a headphone jack. It's a deal breaker. I would need to invest in a good bluetooth daily driver. Thenthe phone battery is a major issue
@@StevealiciousTech I read recently the headphone jack has been phased out because of water penetration issues. I agree but... But in my case main reason of change was that my note9 didn't survive an accident that I survived. :D Otherwise I'd use note9 one more year.

I have the Note 9 (exynos) and upgraded to the S22 Ultra (exynos) and now I'm regretting it big time... Can't return the S22 Ultra due to going over the 14 day cooling off period (Carphone Warehouse - UK) 😢😭😭
@@StevealiciousTech I wish exynos software was the only issue atleast I could hope for some future updates to iron some of the creases out but my overall experience including the hardware is a pain too... The S-Pen and battery life is similar to my 3-4 year old Note 9 (Oreo), the absence of an SD Card slot is a killer, no 3.5mm headphone jack, no heart rate sensor, speaker sounds tinny, no IR blaster (not seen one since my Note 4), the fingerprint scanner is notorious, its heavier in weight, feels more fragile in design too, half of my games don't work on it (NFS Most Wanted / NDS & Reicast Emulators / Rayman Jungle Run etc... just to name a few) Feels more like a downgrade to me especially with some of the missing features I've mentioned and Samsung not including wireless earbuds, no S-Pen tips/nibs in box, and no battery charger?? Now that's a low blow by a major player, this is definitely my last Samsung device I'm so put off 😕😩

Still note 9, I still don't feel like getting anything new with those new phones, father moved from note 8 to s21+ and he is really disappointed. I have to change because of dying mic, but I feel like it is not a step forward even after all those years.
Goto dev option to turn off all animations and watch your note 9 speed up like hell. Well said but unfortunately s22 lineups are missing the s pen and this ultras way 2big. Software update be damned it’s all a marketing stunt to buy new phones. I just ordered 512 gb micro sd to boost my storage plus mine comes with free fm antenna so headphones jack to me is essential. Upgrading from note 9 to s22 is only for xtra batteries and the rest is just show offs.
No physical fingerprint, no sd card, no headphones jack. Very decent daylight photos. Note9 is a better phone, s22 is close but its not a step up in terms of the stuff that matter.
If somebody wants to keep using the note 9 with the new features of one ui 4.1 and 5 just install the noble rom. I using that rom for 3 months and everything works fine. Actually my 3 years old battery works better than i bought my phone in 2019 i can easily make 5-6h of sot on LTE.

@Hewhoremains you can swipe down on the fingerprint sensor and it will show the notification window.
In terms of the BEST Note out of the series, I'd say the NOTE 4 was the best. Removalable battery was amazing. I used to have 4 spares with a few chargers, which made the USB cable irrelevant.
Nothing come close to note 9 .. I have owned note 1 ,3 , 4 ,5 and 9 ..
I had the Note 4 until I accidentally dropped it and it bricked the phone. I have had the Note 9 since it came out. It has a very protective case. I had the battery replaced a year ago. Still a great phone. I am going to keep it.
You cannot not pry my Note 9 from my cold dead hands.
Lol I like it!
Its a dinasour...it's like an 8 track tape player....I had 2 note 9 's ......no more software support.....I've got the S22 ultra its flawless
That is a pretty convincing price!
How did you get 800$ off????
@@cideogameguy515 I just did it too, AT&T trade in. Even with a busted screen $800 off!
I have both! Got two new Note 9s unlocked T-Mobile GSM versions which I will keep and a new S22 Ultra in Phantom Black. I've got the best of both worlds.
Could you give me one note 9....Thanks so much.
@@levichukwu2286 I have an unlocked Note 9 in blue for sale 💙
Hands down the note 9 was a powerhouse! The sleek design and thinness. The display and sound quality. It's was fav phone. Now currently on the z fold 3 but I wish my note 9 would've never cracked and battery problems. But it was a long 4 years!
Definitely a great device! Miss it quite a bit!
Thankfully mine is going strong. I loved the Note 4 and was crushed when it died on me.
Battery problems like bro??🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♂️
Note 10 Plus is definitely solid! Definitely got a bad unit on that S22 though.
Micro SD cards needs a lot of energy even if it not used. So better to not use a sd card imo.
@ABDULLAH MH how does the camera compare
I saw at my local bestbuy a type c flash drive (thumb drive?) That connects into your phone as an external storage. So in theory you could shoot 4K videos and save them the flash drive?
Cloud services work far better
but a Note 9 is like 200 dollars, compared to the 1300 of the s22 ultra...
Got a note 9 here, it works. It's a phone, it does everything I need it to do. May not be getting any more software updates, but will hold on onto this for a long time cause phones are expensive.
I'm also going to buy one broo🙋🏻♂️
But one confusion, will it be keep working in future without updates??
Are there nobig issues??
Well. I just got s22 ultra with 1 tb memory. And i will keep my note 9 as my back up phone.
1tb? I thought max capacity was 512gb with 12gb ram.
I love the Ocean blue Note9. Love it's iris scanner. I was really interested while I first saw it. It was a last great Note!
I'm using the Note 20 ultra and saving my S22 ultra for next year. If you have the Note 20 ultra try using the expert raw with focus peeking and you will be surprised at what you can do..
Thanks for this review, just updated from Note9 to S22 Ultra 256 w/12gb
Bought the N9 at launch, it was the longest flagship phone I've ever owned. 4 years++
Do they have big differences? My 9 is having battery and display problems. Thinking about the 23 Ultra. Cheers!
Thanks for the great A/B comparison Steve. You helped me with the decision!
Thanks for watching!
Lost a few things but gains and a nice deal outweighed the loss and most can be compensated for with "outside the box" thinking:
Negatives
Positives:
No bloatware.
note 9 is still good til this day
Still a great phone!
Samsung when they announced the extended software support for the S10 series, they shoud give it to the older devices too, including the S7 as it was on oreo and still supported with security updates. same for the Note 10 series in 2022
New sub here and still using my Note 9 and have the Note 20 ultra new in box and iPhone 13 pro max new in box but I love my phone with no huge bumps!
Definitely!
I am running Noble Rom (Android 12) with the latest security patches on my Note 9. Fabulous! It is based on stock Samsung rom, OneUi 4.1
That sounds good! Would be nice to have it up and running like that!
how does it work? is it worth putin a custom rom on it and use it i mean i love the phone, and all that is no longer available. i'm debating between note 9 and note 10+.
@@BobLee333did you choose one in the end? I'm currently debating the same thing note 9 or note 10 +
@azza2575 yea I did, I got the S23 Ultra......
still using note 9 since LAUNCH and PURPOSELY didn't update the software and is still like new. Until they release the under screen camera I'm not really interested in these new phones every year.
My Note 9 is great. I use it a lot. The design is fantastic. The performance is sooo gooooood. I loooove it 😍😍
The Note 9 is a great phone!
Yep, I thought it was time already 🥺 I had a great time with it but it felt like I was being left behind and I was coming across some apps that needed more power
Yeah, it started to get a LITTLE long in the tooth and with the updates and stuff. It was time.
Note 9, the most complete, yet.
It was very nice for sure!
Thank you for making this video, definitely helped me finally decide to move onto a new device, waiting to see what the s23 will be offering before I switch. The last 4 years with the note9 have been beyond wonderful but sadly its time to move forward since the phone will only be keeping us back 😓
Sad to see it go, but I do think it's time!
I still have my Note 9. I dont know why. I love it. Its a strong phone.
Because it's an awesome device, that's why!
@@StevealiciousTech bro alse want to but one now🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♂️
But got confused, will it keep working in future and how long without updates??
Please te me😐😐
I can't do it, the note 9 is still the best phone I have worked from.
Still an awesome device.
Absolutely!
No contest!
But there is no headphone jack 3.5mm, iris scanner and also LED notif 😅, which is that 3 thing that i really need and daily use.
@@faizalmaro no you really don't. Iris scanner? Really? Headphone jack many better options around it...LED or a phone that's 100 times better in all the major categories... especially camera and connectivity.
@@faizalmaro Agree, I will miss the headphone jack! I drive 10 hrs between VA & FL and aux cable my phone to my car speakers for audible book listening.
After upgrading, I think the thing I miss the most is the instant rear fingerprint scanner. The perfect location.
@@DeadlyFungi I will miss that fingerprint sensor notification swipe if I upgrade.
Im writing this on a note 9. It's been struggling really bad. Need to upgrade but having trouble shelling out the money for a fold
Don't want an S22? Fold is great but can be limiting.
@@StevealiciousTech I've always picked phones based on screen size. S22 is awesome but if I'm paying that much I figure why not spend a few hundred extra on the fold 🤷🏽♂️
I love my note 9 , I reduced the animation speeds and it feels faster than my iPhone 12
512 gb + 512gb sd card. 1 tb paid off Note 9 user. Somebody make a custom rom for the Snapdragon 845 note 9 PLEASE. I would pay $ to keep this phone 📱. Why do only the ezxos chip note 9s get custom roms? This phone has EVERY feature you could possibly want. It's a BEAST!!!
Definitely a beast!
S22 ultra is a great phone 🔥
No need to update phones. We can make them last through obsolescence and the price of new phones now is outrageous.
Note 9 the best note 2022...more sensors, jack audio,no hole on screen
Absolutely!! Loved that device.
Is it worth getting the Note 9 used when you need a phone now? My budget is tight.
I would maybe try for something a touch newer. Note 10 if you can.

I bought a S22 Ultra and returned it. My note 9 is better. I don't care what you say.

I missed the note 9 as I went from the note 8 to note 20 ultra but I did love the note 8. Was just battery life
The Note 9 is the best. You will be doing a video when the S25 comes out and another video in 6 years when the S31 comes out.
I do miss the hard press home button under the screen on the note 9 tho. Lol
Another great feature! That and face unlock and you were set to go.

I just recently got a mint condition, used NON refurbished Note 9 from Swappa for 285 dollars. Runs like champ! I use it now in tandem with the Note 10+.
Still a great phone!

Hmmm
Might be worth it to wait now.
My note 9 is still going strong. One battery replacement and we good. S22 Ultra was tempting but the loudspeaker review disappointed me.
How to know about battery replacement bro?
That it is time to replace it??
Or it is being already replaced before by someone else???
I have beat the living crap out of my note 9 and it's still incredible, huge props samsung, the note 9 is an absolute tank, but rly considering the upgrade
Great phone but it's getting close to time.
So ny carrier is offering 800, for the trade in of my note 9 and I get a free upgrade to the 256 gig version. Yet somehow I'm still hesitant.
I'm in the situation as you are. However, I took the bullet and order the Ultra 22 as T-mobile's network infrastructure will not support Sprint's existing lines. The rep told me the devices start from S10 and below will no longer work effective 3.31.22.

Eh sort of but not right away and still up to the user to be careful.
samsung has been using mcafee as builtin antivirus. so just pay and extend built in mcafee antivirus. it has antimalware, vpn and other security features. you could pay 1.49/month or 18usd for 12mos.
My note 9 is slowly dying and I'm thinking about switching to an iPhone pro because my needs are changing and I love my macbook. The note served me amazingly though, but I really detest the even bigger profile of the s22 ultra, I really can't go bigger

Yeah, it's unfortunate but inevitable at the flagship level. I don't think they are coming back anytime soon on any device really.
@@StevealiciousTech I read recently the headphone jack has been phased out because of water penetration issues. Let's be honest, the storage is slow, wifi tech is slower,Bluetooth tech is weaker and your battery has to be crap on a note 9.I won't mention camera.
The note 9 had the most things..all things infact
and then they started removing stuff on 10.um sticking to the 9

Exynos is rough all over the place. I'm sorry...odd how they do that.
@@StevealiciousTech I wish exynos software was the only issue atleast I could hope for some future updates to iron some of the creases out but my overall experience including the hardware is a pain too... The S-Pen and battery life is similar to my 3-4 year old Note 9 (Oreo), the absence of an SD Card slot is a killer, no 3.5mm headphone jack, no heart rate sensor, speaker sounds tinny, no IR blaster (not seen one since my Note 4), the fingerprint scanner is notorious, its heavier in weight, feels more fragile in design too, half of my games don't work on it (NFS Most Wanted / NDS & Reicast Emulators / Rayman Jungle Run etc... just to name a few)
Feels more like a downgrade to me especially with some of the missing features I've mentioned and Samsung not including wireless earbuds, no S-Pen tips/nibs in box, and no battery charger?? Now that's a low blow by a major player, this is definitely my last Samsung device

Goto dev option to turn off all animations and watch your note 9 speed up like hell. Well said but unfortunately s22 lineups are missing the s pen and this ultras way 2big. Upgrading from note 9 to s22 is only for xtra batteries and the rest is just show offs.
No physical fingerprint, no sd card, no headphones jack. Very decent daylight photos. Note9 is a better phone, s22 is close but its not a step up in terms of the stuff that matter.
