    Videos are great, seems like your Lumix is a pretty good camera, as well as your cinematography ! Always enjoy seeing the Elf on dirt tracks, and how she copes.

      Thanks! I'm learning as I go but I do want to get a camera mic and gopro, I can get more interesting driving footage and working in tight spaces. But I do like the lumix. Yeah the elf handles well looks more bouncy on camera then it feels driving haha

    Right on for giving cyclists hella space when you pass up.

      Oh yeah, thanks for noticing. I'm a big cyclist, so it's one of those things I pay attention to. Plus this thing is kinda loud and sounds bigger than it is so I don't want to scare anyone by getting to close.

    I also just received 1995 Isuzu elf outback express from Japan. Tring to figure how all these systems work. Your videos have helped. There seems to be a 100 volt system to be coverted to 120.
    I will research the conversion.
    Please tell me where you purchased bracelet that was used to secure the end support that is holding up the awning.

      Hey, those brackets came with the Elf not sure where to find them now. Wish I could help!

    congrats on the propane/water systems being a success! impressed by the amount of work you’ve put into this thing. hopefully don’t have to do quite as much renovation when i finally import a Rodeo, but at least i’ll know how! random question, about how long do you typically like to warm up your engine before taking off? guess it probably depends on weather conditions

    • @bobbyswampfox
      @bobbyswampfox  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh cool! I love rodeos I think you'll have a better floor then my Elf has that was the root of my problems. I just watched a video from jdmcarandmotorcycle.com they have a few right now. That's a good question it does depend on the weather and how late I'm running haha but 10 min when below freezing or longer depending. I think just a few on a day like in the video. But I'm no expert but def idle it up when warning it up and turn it down when you're ready to go

      gotcha. this will be my first diesel so just trying to learn everything i can before i get it. have seen the 2 they have at jdm car and motorcycle. very clean and low miles, but they want a small fortune for em hahah. seems my best bet is to go the auction route. cheers!

      @@bazaanahanzstan7417 I agree importing your own is best but yeah not for everyone, I know they do get their vehicles ready for the long haul and that's what some people need. I'm excited for you! So you already won yours? Who is importing it? Your going to love it I would do it all again even the hardships and disappointments really makes it worth it, even tho it felt like I was fighting for my life sometimes. This was my first desiel too first vehicle in awhile actually haha

      thanks! going thru japan car direct. they’ve been awesome so far with the pre-purchase inspections. have narrowly been outbid on 2 auctions so no success yet. have had to be extremely patient as they don’t show up too often. big responsibility but stoked! i’m near portland, OR and there’s a lot of support for jdm vehicles here. definitely in good hands in the pnw for routine maintenance

      @@bazaanahanzstan7417 nice! That's who I used too if you're working Yoshi tell him Ryan says hi with the elf haha they were really easy to work with. I still check the site and keep an eye on the rodeo. The 4wd fargo camper seems cool too

    Awesome videos. How do you find parts compatible parts for the engine maintenance? I have the same type of RV but it's a Caprice layout. I just tore everything out on the inside due to some water damage and doing a full rebuild. Thanks

    I have the same camper……..I installed a new engine and it still a slow turtle 🐢
    Is there a way to get more Hp on the 4JG2 engine and still reliable?

    • @bobbyswampfox
      @bobbyswampfox  ปีที่แล้ว

      Heck yeah! Yeah it's not the fastest but I find it to be manageable. Did you put a new 4jg2 in it? You could try a turbo but not sure if there is room in there. Where are you located? I find mine comfortable at 55mph on highway in the northeast of the states
