@@HardPackedADV Don't get me wrong. It would be my style if is applicable in a real ADV world. Sadly, in developed countries (for instance Germany) cell signal is not always good enough for talking, let allone for the internet. I am sure australian outback is not better. What I wanna say is, if it is usefull just in some cases, we would still need a another radio based communicator for those other cases when internet is not there. So, I don't see the point of using both. Maybe I am missing to see usefull scenario.
So I'm still not sure how you're actually using this. Push to talk or via Bluetooth helmet comms on an open group call or something? With gloves on, your surely not pushing buttons etc... 🤷
I hear what you are saying, this helps me to improve, What's good, short latency, works well in cell phone areas, can link to many people within your group, easy to set up and more as mentioned. All in all it's fairly easy to use, but to explain all the video would be extremely long. it's a taste of what's out there. Cheers.
Great option for cross platform comms, will look forward to testing this out for our club rides. Thanks for the review.
Thanks
Thanks for the info. I use discord for other purposes and never thought to use it for motorcycle comms. Will give it a go. 👍
Glad to help
You don't need just the cell signal, you need internet. When I hear "adventure riding" internet conectivity is the last thing comes to my mind.
Totally agree, this is just another tool in the toolbox, which can be left out if it's not your style.

Shame you didn't mention anything about how it actually works in a biker situation or demonstrate it working.
Never tought of using discord i feel stupid
Thank you 😂😂😂
What Bluetooth headset are you using and how’s the sound quality on discord?
Cardo Pack Talk. The sound is OK, there can be some static sound at times depending on how strong your phone (cell) signal is.

Bluetooth through a helmet headset.
@@HardPackedADV so is it just like a continuous open group call when no data coverage is it?
Yes, continuous group chat. You need data access to the internet. ie mobile phone (cell) coverage.
@@HardPackedADV OK, cool. I might try it. Cheers 👍
Does it work in places where there is no network range?
No, you need network to access the internet. It's not perfect, it's just another tool that you might consider.
exactly this means its unusable for most long adventure rides
Why not just call each other from the cellphones??
Yes that is another option if you want to keep your cell phone call live all the time.
Discord over calls because you can connect upto 100 people in a single single channel and people can anytime enter and exit without any disruption.
How can you even recommend an app without telling us how it runs, what’s good and easy about it ?
You might as well stop and call one of your buddies.
