Sometimes I watch your videos 3 or 4 times to burn them in my memory. I'm not trying to stroke your ego, I'm being very serious when I tell you that your instructing style, subject knowledge, and editing is ON POINT!
I couldn't tell you how many times I've spoken out loud your diddies like "brake-brake-brake" or "WAIT, WAIT,... THROTTLE".
Yes I only have a cruiser, but that doesn't make it any easier. For one, I'm a beginner, for two body position and line selection is much more important because I'm limited as far as my lean angle is concerned. I've already scraped my floorboard because I didn't take away enough lean angle.

Hi Greg, I am a 75 year old rider. I started riding on the dirt at 13. Later in life I retired as a motor officer from Oakland, CA PD. Currently, my go to daily motor is a BMW 1250 RT. I found you so enthralling entertaining in this video I didn't realized you had back ground music until 16 plus minutes into it. Your work as a motor instructor is a valuable asset to the riding community. Keep up the good work! Greg Smith, Sacramento

Greg, I think this is one of your best videos! You totally engaged me as an audience member, so just shows you're a great teacher. And when you said that you will start to notice what others are doing and how they are not doing it efficiently and correctly I was nodding my head in agreement (as I've experienced this myself), even though I consider myself a novice rider. 10 out of 10! And thanks again.

I don't often comment on TH-cam videos but you are a blessing man! I am 28 and recently started my motorbike journey ob cb125r and I live in the UK. With it being winter and all, every single blind corner that I take was pretty much "hope I'll make it out alive" with constant rain and sun going down at 4pm, commuting is terrible and I don't own a car.
I've been watching your videos so this one popped up on my feed and completely changed my perspective to cornering as well as using the brakes.
Today doing one of the most daunting corners I go through everyday, which is literally a downhill 100 degree turn to the right, under heavy rain, it felt like a bliss. I am much more confident, relaxed and aware. On top of being genuinely funny, your concise relay of information and putting out there for all of us to learn so selflessly, you ARE a life saver. I am not exaggerating. If I am making it alive back home to my son everyday, it is partially thanks to you.

    -Going too fast
-Not starting your line wide enough
-Hugging the inside on a blind corner
-Grabbing the front brake too hard mid turn
-Increasing throttle & lean angle at the same time

Fantastic video, again! There are not enough videos out there teaching good cornering techniques and instructors often do not go into enough detail for the standard bike test. Only thing to add is that each bike is different on how it corners so practice these techniques but apply them and take time to get to know which bike you are on! MotoJitsu showing it is not just practice but the right practice that matters!

Excellent training video. What I paraphrased below if I understood you correctly is what resonated with me to take corners more safely. Knowing when to accelerate and apply throttle is key while reducing lean angle.
You have to have patience mid corner.....Wait....I'm still leaned over but now I'm pointed towards the exit and now if I want to accelerate hard I can do so while simultaneously reducing lean angle and bike is raised up as I'm watching the exit. You cannot take away the lean angle until the bike is pointed to where you want to go.
Lifesaving information contained in this video.

I’ve been riding for 40 years…and was getting ready to give it up due to the heebie-jeebies I have always felt due to uncomfortable changes in suspension geometry in turns that have been occurring because I was trained to never touch the brakes or throttle in a turn….your videos, especially this one, have changed my riding style, my confidence, my understanding, and have increased my enjoyment of riding so much that at 60 yrs old- it all feels like I’m 20 again. Everything feels smoother, more in control, no heebie-jeebies and I’m moving much faster through corners. The biggest plus of all? I am safer on the road. Thank you.

Excellent video. Really makes my past couple years of riding click.
I’ve wiped out (lowsided) a couple times, I never knew why, but the under loading of the front tire makes a lot of sense now. Also really drives home the point of trusting your front tires. As long as your inputs are smooth and controlled, your front will load up and can take a lot more than you think.
I absolutely brake and release before turning in, so I have to work on trusting my front tire (trail braking) and maintaining smooth throttle inputs through the turn.
I have a lot to learn and focus on now, thanks.
Edit: you also got me in the habit of covering the front brake and being confident of the bike’s ability to brake mid turn. As long as your inputs are smooth (dimmer light switch, not off on).

I just found your page, thank you. Although I've rode other bikes in the past, the majority of my riding is on a fatboy or Breakout. I am buying my first adv bike next week, a 2019 KTM 790 Adv r. Not to worry. Unlike the stereotype, I do practice slow and higher speeds, and take a least one course a year. This year I have 3 lined up. I am not sure if it's midlife or finally having the income I am 45 and I doing a track class, an adventure class (although I am in FL so not sure how technical), but first an advance refresher.

    Lots of good advice imho.
Knowing your limits of skill has served me well for 50 years.
As I've got old a fact of life as with decrepitude is your reactions slow down.
So I have adjust my riding to meet those facts.
When young I did MX and trials .
    Now I'd be rubbish.
