    UPDATE!!! Dealer finally found the cause of the popping noise after they've replaced two lower control arms, wheel hub bearing, and front cv axle. It was a bad driver side stabilizer link which had a lot of play on it. Glad the issue is finally resolved and over with.

      WhT was the cost?

      So they replaced a bunch of things that didn’t need replacing? That gets expensive.

    I am experiencing the same “cracking” noise when grade changes or turns are made at low speeds. Any ideas yet?

    Got a very similar noise no play on any of the suspension bushes etc but only seems to happen when cornering at low speeds under 25mph! So frustrating went straight through MOT nothing wrong!
    On this video it does sound like another one I’ve watched on here and in the end the chap found out the tpms had fell off inside the wheel????

    • @viptouge20
      @viptouge20  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I saw that video. My tpms is secured so that's not my issue sadly as that would be an easy fix.

      @@viptouge20 yea mine too I’m going to replace the anti roll bar bushes even though there’s no obvious play but look worn on the edges.had mot came back ok checked all other suspension components no play anywhere so annoying.just don’t want to take it to the garage and they start replacing everything!!!

      Keep the small rotators up and problem sorted!! Will only make that noise if you have the selection in automatic mode control

    I have this noise on a Tesla Model S with the same steering rack. I have new swaybar links, control arms both upper and lower and new inner and outer tie rod ends. I still have the same noise you have when turning steering wheel and moving from being stopped or even stopped and turning the steering wheel left to right. I even changed the lower i shaft and the noise is still there. I think it maybe the belt in the steering rack because the rack is the only thing that is the same to my knowldege on the range rovers and the tesla model s.

      @@alanmilligan3874 no luck but im planning on replcing the lower arm both side just incase the bushing has already worn out and thats the cause of the sound. If its not lower arm then might start replacing the tie rod or sway bar

      Same! I took my Rover to 3 shops. Land Rover had my car for a month and a half claiming its the wheel bearing which they replaced. Still having the same popping noise. AT this point it fells like I'm forced to live with it.

      @@viptouge20 I've been told so many different things that it could be from multiple mechanics, and it's anything from the motor mount to the wheel hub. But I can only replace so much at once (because money) and process of elimination has only ever told me what it's not. But at the rate I'm going, I'm going to end up with a new vehicle lol. It's beyond frustrating at this point.

      @@phreaksangel3584 Yeah, I already replaced two lower control arms before the wheel bearing. There's a little play in the cv axle but I hate to spend $1,000 on a new axle just to find out the issue's still there. If you do find out your issue one day, please let me know!
