    This a great breakdown!
I have a 2022 ford maverick I bought it with 24 miles. I put 20k on it, I noticed recently that there is a thud or knock on my rear tires when im making turn on either side of the turn.

I've got this problem with a 99 town car when in grids or thumps only when you turn and brake at the same time. And i've gone through and replaced the sway bar bushings and end links because they were worn and the ball joints where put on by a shop and I have still got the problem. It comes from the drivers side which from the video sounds like it could be the U-joint.
    Any advice would help!
Edit: I need to add to this. It only does it when you are between 20 and 10 mph anything over or under that it brake's perfectly.

How about a clunking sound from the front end while hitting any imperfections in the road. Slight knock while rocking the wheel at a stop. Seems louder when sitting on a downhill slope with weight on front end. Inner front tire wear on both sides. No leaking struts but could they be the culprit? Tire wear has been happening for 10k miles and inspection found nothing wrong. Noises just started up a few weeks ago. Sway bar end links recently done.

I replaced outer tie rods because i found one with play. Took away the noise for a few weeks and now its back but not as bad. Also did front struts. Im hoping its not the control arm cuz without a lift i dont think i want to attempt it with only jacks. @vampyratexd

I just replaced the CV axle and ball joint on an 09 nissan rogue S and today was driving while the owner was in the passenger seat. The original clunk was gone then at a rotary turn at wide curve the clunking came back and my heart dropped. Inner outer tie rods changed. cv axles, struts and shocks changed. swaybar ends don't look bad...kind of bummed.

I was in Park and I turned the steering wheel to the left and right, it was a clunking sound as I did that maneuver. But when i’m driving I do not hear it all. My passenger top swap bar link is ripped but I wouldn’t know if that’s making that noise. No free play in steering rack or front axle. I have new wheels and tires. Front control arms are new. But I don’t know if it might be a bad ball joint. But it makes that clunking only when in park

This was a great breakdown but I'm wondering. I think it's my tie rod ends, per what you spoke about, but... I'm also experiencing a decrease in ability to turn the wheel, she is hard to turn at low speeds and popping like everything.but once we're moving, she seems fine.

Mine sounds like it is coming from the steering wheel itself. I brought the car in to the shop and they said to replace struts so i did but still hearing a clunk at slow speeds when turning and a squeaking over bumps at slow speeds. I had whole front end checked and no other noticeable symptoms. My Dad looked at the vehicle too and sees all parts are fairly new. It had 125000 miles when i bought it. 131800 now.

Thanks for the great info. I listened every thing and read the comments. However I didn’t find anything related to GRINDING. I have a 2016 Lincoln Nav. I parked the car on a gravel surface, as soon as I backed and turned the front tires were GRINDING and KICKING. It’s been about a week and it hasn’t gone away. It only happens when I turn at slow speeds. The tires are new. Was the gravel surface a coincidence or is there a problem? Thanks!!

I drive a 09 civic 4 door lx model, and after replacing my power steering pump, lines, and rack and pinion, along with the tie rod ends, and getting an alignment, I am hearing a noise in the wheel-well where doing at low speeds, on smooth or rocket roads, its as if if i let go of the gas peddle and let it slow down or braking slowly, that there is some clunking sound. BUT the sound is more described as - when taking a flat head screw driver and putting it on the outer side of a metal slotted hamster running wheel. But slowly. (**Sound - low pitched ting, ting, ting, ting, ting**). Not sure what that sounds is….almost as if something is hitting something at the same RPM interval… Dear community… what could it be?
