Rachel have been following you for several years & truly enjoy your sessions. Like that you include medical conditions to watch especially hip replacements & osteoporosis. The exercises for balance are extremely important.💗
Thank you for another amazing workout. I love your workouts and I have been doing them 3 times a week for a year. I am definitely improving when it comes to strength and flexibility and I am extremely grateful for it. One thing I am still having difficulty with though is my turn out when it comes to plies. I unfortunately have SI joint arthritis which causes much stiffness and pain in my hips which really limits my range of motion. I actually dread plies even though I probably really need them. Lol. It’s a bit sad and a little frustrating because I enjoyed ballet immensely from ages 4 to 20 in my younger days and then some other forms of dance after that. Then the arthritis came along.
Hello, how lovely to hear from you 🤗 Firstly, well done for doing my sessions 3 times a week for a yera, that is a great achievement. I am glad you are feeling the benefits of strength and flexibility from your consistent practice, that's excellent. With your SI Joint Arthritis I totally understand your dilemma and frustration with your background of ballet. Do you think you can find a place of being at peace with a smaller range of movement that is more intense on your muscles? By which I mean demi plies rather than full plie, a little less turn out and more emphasis of the pulling up and squeezing the bottom muscles as you straighten the legs rather than going for a deep plie that will be uncomfortable. Maybe a change of emphasis can help you befriend them again? Let me know. Keep moving and as you love ballet, keep doing it but reduce the range and flexibility aspect and boost up the muscle strengthening. You need strong bottom muscles to help manage SI Joint stability. xxx ❤️
Thank you so much! Yes, I understand what you are saying and that is exactly what I will try to focus on instead. I am thankfully already experiencing some much needed stability from your workouts which is incredible to me because no other workouts, physical therapy or chiropractic have helped me in this way. I am so grateful to have found you on here and cannot thank you enough. ❤️✨
More challenging than I expected. Would love to see more 20 minute sessions - for those days when I just don't feel I can do 30 minutes (for no good reason tbh). think I need to look more closely at your vast library. Many thanks
