As soon as she drew the kitten playing with the yarn, my heart melted as I love cats. Thanks for this video, Jazza and Jullelin. I learned quite a bit on drawing animals in this film
Some tips for Jullelin: 1. This one's easy - after you record your voice, pass the audio file in Audacity, so that you can remove the background noise. Despite the ukulele music, the microphone fuzz is the thing that most affects the audio's quality. 2. When doing tutorials, create a script or lay down a few key words in order. That way you don't have to improvise and the tutorial ends up much more tight, connected and, well, professional. 3. It's easy to notice that you're not a native English speaker, which I won't criticize, but it means that having a script is even more important. You can always give it to Jazza or someone else to proofread it...
McGuireInK I'm not saying it wasn't fine. She's a great artist, which is most important, but those were some simple things that make videos, in general, a lot more entertaining...
Hey! I just wanted to let you know, that I really love your account. Your tutorials have helped me immensely with my art and I appreciate it a lot! Never stop what you're doing, because you're an INCREDIBLY talented artist, an inspire so many! Thankyou so much
Going to head over to Jullien's channel to subscribe... I've been watching tutorials and this is the best one I've seen for cute animals... proper instruction rather than just a speedy drawing. It's given me confidence to try my stuff again. Thanks Jazza for bringing this wonderful artist to your audience.
I've always had trouble with drawing characters that have an extended snout, like dragons and such, this has been helpful in that regard so thank you Jazza, and thank you especially Jullelin, count yourself another subscriber.
Jullelin Art I subbed after this video ;) Your tutorials and time lapses and nicely done and very helpful. Also, I love your art style, it is so sweet! :)
Such a Fun Video. Not Sure if I missed it but one thing that should have been mentioned is that when drawing "cartoon" animals, we try to bring out more 'human' characteristics (eyes, smile, poses).
I like this, it felt basic and slow, but paying attention I realized how many things I fail at that can be corrected by using this technique, and buy reviewing my basic concepts of animals. Starting with circle and adding the face like drawing humans seems obvious but it really helps me now.
Wow that was such a great tutorial! It was very fun, I'm sad it ended XD This will help me so much since I always complicate my work process, but seeing such beautiful work and that it can be achieved with circles blows my mind! Your art style is so cute! I will definitely subscribe to your channel :)
Wish I would have seen this video before I took a character design class in the Fall. This would have really helped with my animals characters. Better late than never I suppose. Thanks for the awesome video :)
Hey Jazza! Can you possibly make a tutorial for how to make comic book-styled characters, and/or the process of making one? Thank you, and love your videos! Keep doing what you do!
I was kinda iffy about art I didnt think that i ws good enough but ever sice i found your channel you have helped and inspiered me Even if i only know u through your vidios You have still done me a huge favor thank you jazza
Now that we covered cartoon animals, could you teach us how to draw Furries? And then I mean not only canine and feline but also bovine and equine and perhaps dragons.
one question... how you guys draw lines with a drawing tablet? I bought a drawing tablet and now i hate drawing with that because i don't get one nice line made. :(
Jonathan Devon you have to have a stylus and a steady hand. Practice on paper first. There is also a tool ( depends on what program your using ) that straightens out lines for you.
Dear god Save us all. Thank you. This is 5 month old comment and i've already found out that tool. :) I use it straight my lines just a little bit. Thank you for commenting anyway and i hope this will help someone else who have the same problem. :)
Hi Jaz! Thanks for the great support you're lending us. Would you mind recommending advance books on caricature making? Blessings! With love from Ethiopia.
Most drawings programs are great to sketch on, what could increase the quality of the sketch is having a tablet digitalizator that way you have pressured lines wicht will increase the comfort.
There's a fabulous book by Preston Blaire called 'Cartoon animation' (pub. Walter Foster) which has hundreds of his drawings of characters (animal and human) for animation. The book begins with a look at using basic shapes but the rest is pure inspiration for ideas and as a way of 'deconstructing' his caricatures. I have the original 1994 edition (landscape format). I'm not sure if the newer 'updated' version is as good. There is also 'Cartooning: Animation 1 with Preston Blair: Learn to animate step by step (How to Draw & Paint)' which has very clear examples of how to evolve the heads and shapes of characters, based upon a small number of shapes.
I really loved the video. The animals were so cute.^^ Also, I don't remember seeing your character being animated at the end of the video. I think you did mention at one point that you would change it. It looks cool and really adds life to the character other than it just standing there, but I found the lip syncing a bit off.
Anyone got any recommendations on a cheap tablet for digital art? I’ve been drawing on my iPhone SE recently using IBisPaint but I was told by someone that drawing on my phone is a bad idea cause of how small the screen is and that upgrading to a bigger screen would help me out more
Hey Jazza not sure your gonna see this but im trying to be an artist (for fun) and an animator but that doesn't matter yet so i was wondering do you have any recommendations for daily exercises for a beginner ( im only 13)
Thank you Jazza for this oppertunity

The tutorial was fine IMO
McGuireInK I'm not saying it wasn't fine. She's a great artist, which is most important, but those were some simple things that make videos, in general, a lot more entertaining...
Thank you for those tips :)
I have started to use scripts in my tutorials now. I don't know xD It just gets a bit stiff when I follow a script ^^p
Even better, voice only, remove the endless horrible ukulele music, I am SO sick of hearing it/
I like the fact that she isnt a native english speaker, its easier to understand
I enjoy the guest. It is refreshing to meet other youtuber. Love the new outro! :D

I really like the horse one! I mostly struggle on them! I can try to do it with my style-
I think that she was a little nervous at first but then she explained it well and clearly, she also has a lovely style.
Hey! I just wanted to let you know, that I really love your account. Your tutorials have helped me immensely with my art and I appreciate it a lot! Never stop what you're doing, because you're an INCREDIBLY talented artist, an inspire so many! Thankyou so much

Such a Fun Video. Not Sure if I missed it but one thing that should have been mentioned is that when drawing "cartoon" animals, we try to bring out more 'human' characteristics (eyes, smile, poses).
some really great examples for a young cartoonist in the making!
Honestly, her style is so cute, its amazing and I've learned alot from it thank you both!
finally, a Jazza video catering to my very specific interests!
I like this, it felt basic and slow, but paying attention I realized how many things I fail at that can be corrected by using this technique, and buy reviewing my basic concepts of animals. Starting with circle and adding the face like drawing humans seems obvious but it really helps me now.
Hi, Alice :) I am glad you liked it!

Wow that was such a great tutorial! Her style reminds me of Christopher Hart a bit, like from his book How to Draw Cartoon Dogs. I like it :-)
