@@Steen6319 most of these are due to tuning, watching the mixture, and you can see something's wrong but the driver stays in it, turning engine parts red and flinging them out the side. Almost all of these could have been avoided

Honestly I don't really see bad tuned engines here. It's probably a combination of going up hill, high stress on the parts, and the fact that the turbos have to be pulling sand in so it's only a matter of time before the oil is compromised to the point it no longer lubricates the engine correctly.
Carlos Diaz literally was gonna day the same thing because that is one of the reasons the turbos keep blowing.. that and their shitty tuning jobs because its sounds like they running rb25,26 motors which are relatively reliable
Seriously I have never seen anything like that where so many engines go bang! You see tractor pull events where they have much more complicated engine configurations holding together longer while pulling massive weights. Is it the climate/conditions or do these tuners just keep throwing money at engines and hoping for the best?
Peter I know you're a competent builder and tuner, what would you say is the main reason for these failures? Are they knocked to death, or simply massive amount of boost and fuel grenading the engine? Maybe too many RPM for a long stroke truck engine?
Hard to say. I think in many cases these uphill runs is very hard on these engines and the power is to much for the internals. But it could be bad oil supply and bad tuned engines as well. It is not just the localy built engines that die. Many of the american dutweiler v6 and the big V8 that have the tuners coming in from Us have problems with their engines as well. But most of the passes the engine will survive. There is also very high prize money and big prestige to win so they really push the limits to win.
@@gaganxjeet9993 yeah there will be engine swaps but most of these engines aren't 2Js they are the FZE engines and I also know that Nissan does a 4.7 or 4.8 litre straight six engine for that market.
