1:40 The "whole motor" WASN'T "loose".. The engine backfired and sheared off the aluminium studs that were holding the supercharger on. What you saw that was "loose", was simply the supercharger/injector hat/bird-catcher assembly that was flopping around on the heads after the studs broke. The rest of the engine was still solidly bolted to the chassis like it should have been. The aluminium studs that hold the supercharger to the heads are a safety mechanism and are meant to be sacrificial, and break, if the engine backfires to prevent the blower case from turning into a thousand pieces of flying shrapnel. They also prevent a TON of dollars in broken parts.
What do they do with the soil from these events? I'd imagine it just gets incredibly saturated in gas, coolants, and other harsh chemicals. Is there a clean-up or disposal process?
