This was not a proper cleaning and servicing when using in a high dust/dirt environment, just so viewers understand this. You missed two areas that are super important...
1 Opening up and cleaning/ checking the trigger/electronics compartment. (5 plastic screws)
2 Opening the gear housing to check the condition of the gears and grease, clean it out and change it if needed.
You should also take of and clean the dust filters on the sides. (only one screw each) And the plastic grip on the top and clean it and underneath.

I agree... The most important is the gear grease and using a good one like Lucas oil red & tacky

      Would frog lube work?

@@josueisaimontoya You need a high temp grease and something that will stick to the drive gear and rotary gear...I use Lucas Oil Red & Tacky grease.

Thanks for the great video Ian! My Buff Pro polisher died recently and it was the helical gears that catastrophically failed. They don’t and won’t sell replacements so I’m now moving to a rotary polishing setup so this video is very useful! Hope you are well!

Hi Miller, I just purchased this buffer and it does not have the nut that holds that buffer pad on that is on your buffer. was a nut included in your package?
What did you do to keep your buffer pad on? If anyone have any suggestions, pls let me know asap. I am ready to see the works of this buffer.
