Go for the Ergotron LX arm instead of the Ergo stand. It's a third of the price and much more manoeuvrable www.amazon.co.uk/Ergotron-Desk-Mount-LCD-Arm/dp/B00358RIRC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1428115072&sr=8-1&keywords=ergotron+lx
No stand supplied is better in my opinion. It reduces the cost. You can buy a solid floor standing monitor stand and the Cintiq becomes like an easel. I never liked having my Cintiq on a table top anyway. I usually have it quite low or it can brought higher more like an easel. I can also turn it to any angle. The only drawback is that when I sit in front of it, I have the stand legs slightly in the way. I have the Wacom stand for my Cintiq but I never use it.
Ryan Stark I agree with you. I just bought the 27qhd touch and got the Ergotron for it. It's way cheaper then Wacom sells and you can move the tablet in any way to suit your needs. The only downside is that it's somewhat wobbly but not enough to cause problems.
have a quick question i have the cintiq companion 2 but the screem does not seem to get as bright as i like it to. i was just about to purchase the 27 qhd but realized i would hate it if it only got as bright as the 27 qhd. are you happy with the brightness ? if you could reply that would be great. Thank you!
hey man excellent review, quick question: Where did you get that corner table of yours? I've been looking all over the place for one that looks like that!
Just a quick question on the drawing surface of the 27 compared to the 22. Are they the pretty much the same? I have an older 21 at work and it has a bunch of scratches on it. Wondering if i pick this up if I should look into some kind of screen protector.
Bryan Panting Hi, the screen size is similar to a 27" iMac, so from that point of view it is quote a bit bigger than the 22", the unit size is smaller though
The size of the screen is equivalent to a 27" monitor, the frame is proportionally smaller when compared to the 22hd. As for screen protectors, I don't use one, I like the fell of the Wacom screen, but it's a personal choice.
Could you tell me where you bought it , and how much is it ,Wacom Cintiq 27 QHD touch , i'm a international student in the UK, i don't know where i can buy one.
Lol Its good you didnt pay for one of the January "beta" units. The touch models are all suffering from terrible drivers and hardware malfunctions. Wacom seems to not be reselling the manufacture-returned Touch models. They are reselling the non-touch returned units though, albeit at a trickle pace. A second (and hopefully driver-ready) batch of touch models is due at the end of May, early June. Retail is $2799 here in the states.
Your wrong the wires on your 22 can be changed very easy, my dog chewed up a wire and i just replaced it myself, i just needed to buy a new wire from my local computer shop. if you want to change the wire on your 22hd to hdmi its simple, you can do it yourself.
It seems kind of silly , but u help a Brazilian to have a machine of this , I can not afford to buy a gift to this min, because it costs a lot here , but very expensive .... not hurt to try

+Kristian Duffy
Exactly. And that's why the stand is not included. Arms all the way.
Kristian Duffy uh-huh what......?
Awesome man! mine gonna arrive next month. I'm
really excited for it.

Vincent Ramos Thanks for the comments- the desk is just two 'straight desks arranged in an L, nothing special :D

Does it need to be plugged into a laptop or computer to work?
Will it work just plugged into the wall?

Hi, this was a review model from Escape Technology in the UK, the cost with the stand is approx £2500
+Abby Xu you can pretty much only buy them online.
Would you reccomand the 22 or the 27 for an illustrator/concept artist who just graduated?
OriginalMatth3w go with what is the biggest you can afford, wacom usually do refurbs sales which are worth keeping an eye out for :D

What about a vesa arm type stand? Too risky?
Hi. Any driver issues you have encountered?

it was more like a form factor and build critique than actual use and feel of the machine in practical :)
