It’s cultural- cabin crew will not go around and make jokes and chat without reason. It’s Asian and Mongolian thing- people are tired and travelling, do not disturb. If you ask - they reply
Service of the MIAT crew is one of the best I have ever encountered in international flights, specially compared to many European Airlines.
As a Mongolian, I can assure you that the crew member's situation is cultural thing. For me, I do not like to be disturbed during a flight. I get annoyed if someone asks questions and keeps talking to me. Anyway, it's an excellent video. Hope you enjoyed your stay.

My sons and I loved the month we spent in Mongolia. We traveled there on the Trans Sib. Shame you didn’t get the opportunity to do a Gobi Desert trip. That was amazing and the nomads were super friendly and also loved the foodie gifts we gave. It’s such a beautiful country.

Hey Josh, thanks for the amazing feedback about the Mongolian Airlines crew. I'm a flight attendant trainee at MIAT and watching ur video has given me some valuable points that I can take note of and keep in mind once my turn to serve on a plane comes. Will definitely be more open to chatting to passengers and taking care of them as much as possible as you stated. It is more of a cultural thing in Mongolia and I think it's shown here even during flights 😅. But hey great video and thanks for the pointers. A Mongolian Airlines trainee from Mongolia.

Please don’t become chatty with me. I appreciate pleasant polite service, but do not want interrogations. I am a woman traveling solo and sometimes it is assumed I need entertaining and the assumption can be annoying
I love the idea of an update to let us know how the airline responded.
I have flown with MIAT two times back in 2016 from Moscow to Berlin and it was one of the best economy class flying experiences in my life. The service is very good and you even get mongolian beer in economy for free (at least back then). I really liked the plane as well (737NG), it was super clean and modern. If not for the rather inconvenient schedule (it went only on thursdays), I would have flown with them every time. It was definitely a much better experience than S7 for getting to Moscow.

I was in Mongolia 22 years ago. Travelled there on the trans Siberian railway. They have come along way in 22 years. Keep the look reviews. Its always interesting on international flights to see what the standard of cleanliness is with different airlines.
Mongolia is my favourite country that I've visited so far. The first time was back in 2016 when a friend and I took the trans-Siberian railway from Putinia and spent 5 days in and around Ulaanbaatar. The second time was for 9 days back in late June as a solo traveller (didn't fly MIAT though...KE via Incheon). The new airport is a huge improvement over Buyant Ukhaa, even if it is a bit basic for a capital city

Yes!! The debriefing reviews will be awesome. Hopefully, it will also put some pressure on airlines to respond after a review and not just brush things under the carpet
The air hostess's dress code is nice and decent as well. The hospitality welcoming wasn't good enough for countries like Russia, Mongolia and China, etc because it was their attitudes and culture that we couldn't expect more. One thing I liked the most was the airline's cleanliness and maintenance for a ten-year-old flight.

Did not find that. Flew Mongolian Airways Sept 2023 Staff very very friendly and professional.
I am not suggesting anything but I believe China is not so friendly with Mongolia because of their close ties to Russia

I flew Mongolian to Tokyo a few days ago! Honestly I was dead impressed - cabin was clean, crew was obliging and service was prompt. Only problem was the food, which was borderline inedible.

@@bayarmalham9749 No, I'm not - maybe it would have been better if I had been! This was a little while ago now so I can't remember exactly what it was. Like, I think I ate everything apart from the main dish. But otherwise I'd definitely fly with them again.
We Mongolians generally don’t judge food. Our ancestors survived harsh environment where food barely grew. We are not as picky as a privileged Westerner who is addicted to his avocado toast.

Mongolian Airline from my experience was really good, tasty food, friendly team and cosy flight ✈️

We flew business class to Frankfurt, since economy was sold out. Excellent and friendly service, and comfortable seats that could recline flat.

As a mongolian i agree we're shy people. And we talk yes and no just like that. But i don't know much about flight attendant's job qualification and language proficiency level etc.

I love the loo review. I think the mannerism of the flight crew is cultural and not intended to come off as reserved. Mongolia has never been on my travel list but who knows. 110 countries deserves a congrats. Enjoy your stay and hope to see your next video.

Continental had this 2-1-2 business seating on its 767s until they were either retired or reconfigured to UA seating. Most carriers squeezed 2-2-2 on their 767s in the front cabins but AC and (when it existed) CP Air did variants of the five across: 2-2-1 and 1-2-2. I actually enjoyed the single seat on CO.
And “Yes” to a flow up platform.

Loo review is important as it tells much about the importance an airline pays to hygiene....I'd not trust their catering if their loos are a mess. Keep up your great reviews Josh!.

Yes, would like the follow-up! What was the striped plane? I’ve never seen a plane like that! This Mongolian airline seems quite reasonable. Plane looks clean, nothing decrepit, good service. How’s their safety record? The food looks good, also. I like my beef very well done, so I wouldn’t mind. Most importantly, nobody acted outrageously ruining it for everyone.
The striped plane is just an ordinary Condor plane. They rebranded after the failed LOT merger.
my first flight was Miat B767-300er, second was B767 miat without winglets and third was 737 max 9
I was researching airline routes for a possible multi destination trip. One of the options that popped up on Orbitz, was a layover in Ulaanbataar to Seoul. I like to fly out of Frankfurt because it gives me an excuse to be in Germany, at least for a little while.

That condor jet looked hilarious with the green stripes as you were boarding and then that tan one. That is such a crazy odd design choice. Makes me wonder what Condor was thinking lol. That scenery on take off! That was so cool that the pilot you met swapped seats and shared the ride! LOL the Loo Reviews are pretty funny and it's like one of those interviews during the show type of vibes like a reality tv show. Don't stop doing them! Food looked okay. I wonder what they had for Vegetarians. With all the traveling - I would have no idea what day it is on a pretty regular basis.

You arrived at Chinggis Khaan Airport, there is a large international airport in Hoshigtin Khondii, there are more international flights there than at Chinggis Khaan Airport.But it is located a little further from the capital.

I was on this flight. Josh was actually upgraded to First Class kicking it with a bevy of German Supermodels, and French porn stars while drinking expensive French Champagne. You do know that Josh has an exact twin who does all the cattle class reviews right? LOL
I don't think anyone watching your review would turn down a last minute upgrade offer into business class by any airline for that matter, it's just human nature to accept a big bonus like that., Mongolia Airlines looks pretty good all-in-all. That food looked great though and cabin is clean & tidy, that's all one could ask really a safe good flight to remember., awesome flight review as always👍✈

Yes please. Follow up is always important for the accountability of the service provider. The one you did chasing the Air Greenland staff to her Airline's headquarters was priceless, and for me, still stands out as the best vlog you have done thus far.
I think I'd love that middle seat having flown the open space Lufthansa's first class has to offer.

Just wanted to say that if the cabin crew were not engaged during the flight as u said. A very good reason would be the camera, as flight attendents have not signed to be on camera and publicly shared videos and may not be comfortable to do that and hence, it does not seem really accurate to form a review on the crew while on camera. I've seen them on the background with couple of passengers smiling and everything.
"Don't come back soon" was a definite eye-opener 🤫
Like the idea of coming back to the review to see if there was a reaction from the airline.
Don't stop the loo review. It's part of the fight and the only time you can be honest without cabin staff listening. Your vids are awesome.
