Thank you for these....I lost a friend to suicide last month who had asked me to do HIIT workouts with him in the AM daily over ZOOM. I passed on the opportunity due to my inner self critic who told me I was not fit enough and would not be able to keep up (he was an athlete). Looking back I wish I would have said yes and chose to not listen to my inner critic as I missed out on a last opportunity to see my friend in this lifetime. I do these in honor of him and myself. Thank you for making this available to me (a new to HIIT person) and thank you for giving me a way to honor my friend.
Thank you Joe these beginner gentle ones are a lifesaver. I have periods where I struggle to exercise and can only manage these gentle ones. Found myself coming here today after realising I needed to get moving as I had been arguing on the internet all day and feeling awful about myself. This video was a great reminder that if you don’t take care of your physical health your mental health suffers too.
Loved it. Not done any exercise for 12 months and I'm sat here after a 14 hour shift and decided to give this a go and so pleased I did. Feel less stressed and ready for bed 😴
I've got a chronic pain and fatigue disorder, and for years working out has been nearly impossible for me. Not only was this workout truly as beginner (and adaptable) as I needed it to be, but the constant support was overwhelming. It didn't feel like the shouty, guilty support you often get. It was honest, and it made me so emotional.
Since 2018, I put on 25kg from lack of exercise and poor diet, of which the lockdowns definitely did not help. I am short and my BMI places me as obese, so I want to aim to lose what I put on in the past three years by next summer, with a combination of walking more, swimming once or twice a week and a better diet. I've been trying some at home 'beginner' workouts but found most of them (esp the HITT) ones to be unbearably difficult and too much pressure on somebody who is new to working out like me. but this video has motivated me, inspired me and made me feel so comfortable. this chap has the loveliest, most comforting voice and his words of encouragement I actually believe. thank you for making a genuine 'beginner' video, I think I have finally found the online trainer I will stick with after trying to watch so many videos from these American lady trainers (who although lovely, don't really make truly beginner friendly vids). Thanks so much, and for anyone else on here looking to start their fitness journey, or return to it, you can do it, remember motivation runs out but once something is routine it won't feel so hard!
Why is Joe's PE lessons inspire people so much? All the workouts, the ice bath just everything. Doing workout everyday for 6 years makes everything just like nothing is there. This is your changes to make everything in your life much better.
I do often think about my body image more than anything but you saying it’s more about how you feel really resonated with me. Just did this work out, and I feel really good. I will aim to do this everyday Thanks Joe x
Thank you for having some workouts for ACTUAL beginners. Trying to get my health back on track and this was the perfect motivator. Doable, but still a challenge. Thank you, thank you :)
This was my first workout in a while And I did it in front of a mirror, but so happy to see I’m sweating and breathing hard. Will definitely be fitting this in 3/4 times a week and then hopefully can move up to a harder one!
Thank u for ur videos. I thought walking was enough, but I just realized I've been scared to elevate my heart rate cause Ive had issues, but I've certainly never gotten as much workout as ur videos in the 8, 10, 12 miles I walk even I tend to Walk fast. U have taught me to elevate my heart rate, but don't exceed my comfort, so thank u for taking time out of ur life to help others like me.
After a year in lockdown and a hysterectomy, frankly I’ve porked out and feel disgusting about myself. Can’t afford the gym and would be embarrassed to go in my current state anyway. Thought I’d start small with 15 mins a day that I can do in the privacy of my home and these videos are ideal for mixing in with other activities so I don’t get bored. Love the encouragement and I was sweating at the end of it. I’ve started to recover some confidence in my ability to get back in to shape! Thanks Joe, you’re doing a Stirling job!
Not just for beginners, it's easy to push a bit harder, or go for an extra 5 or 10 seconds. Nice set of slightly different exercises and still got my heart going. Thanks Joe! 👍
First workout for me after the birth of my third child.... Thank you for creating a great beginners quick session that I can fit in around the kids!! Feeling ready to take on 2023 and finally feel like myself again .
I love how this describes for beginners. I like how he keep talking to you, instead of putting some techno loud music. I feel like i have my personal traineer besides me giving motivation and correcting my posture. Well done!
Read the Lean in 15 books yesterday and made a meal plan and shopping list. Couldn’t sleep last night as I was so anxious about starting this new lifestyle. Woke up and had a bit of a meltdown, I was crying saying I don’t think I can do it, I will fail, I’m scared, etc etc etc. Went for a dog walk to clear my head and came back and found this video. Just completed my first work out in about 4 years. Thank you so much Joe for being so inspiring and helping me take the first step. ❤️
Thanks Joe, just started today, have rheumatoid arthritis and needed to start exercising. Suprised myself, never thought I'd be able to do it😊will join you tomorrow until I improve enough to go longer! Thankyou🙏🙋♀️😊💐xxxx
I know there is a 7 day beginners, but it would be nice if there was more than just one new beginners workout in the new section 💪🏻🏃🏼♀️🤸🏼♀️🧘🏼♀️ Ps. Love the workout 💜
That was great just what i needed Thanks Joe. Your so motivating and inspiring, what you do for people is incredible. We all can't Thank-you enough. Your bedroom is beautifully decorated. From Liverpool UK 🇬🇧 ❤
JW - I know you are taking a well earned break, though could we please have some more Low-Impact HIIT sessions?? They were a lifesaver over lockdown.. thanks mate!
Just starting my workout journey after some serious bad times.. completed this 15 minutes program, I already feel like I achieved something. Thanks Joe for making beginner programs.
I've been unfit for ages but thanks to this workout I'm starting to slowly get back into shape again, I think I'll be coming back to this video for a long time. Thanks Joe.
I love this. I did lots of exercises as a kid due to my mum making me, but as an adult, I grew out of them. I love exercising tho and I never knew where to start. Ive been doing this workout for the past few days now and have noticed my stamina and strength coming back. So, thank you
This is an ACTUAL real beginners workout, most of those who call them "absolute beginners" include exercises that are basically impossible for someone who's actually never done anything before. Thanks
You’re amazing Joe, I had a foot op 4 weeks ago, very little cardio done and lost a lot of fitness. I used to do your advanced workouts 5x a week! This workout was perfect for rehabbing my foot back and I was really puffing- ( but I did add in some weights with it!) thank you for this
Thank you Joe. Whenever I come back to trying to get fit again after a long lapse I always come back to these workout sessions from Joe and instantly feel a lift. Let the day commence! :-)
So glad I started with beginner workout!! Thanks Joe, it got my heart pumping, left me out of breath and sweating but I got through it and you're right it feels good 😁😇
Morning Joe! I started doing a 10min workout every other day and have now progressed to a 15min every day thanks to your motivation!!! Keep reminding me to breathe as I tend to hold my breath!!!!! Stay safe!
Thanks Joe. A great workout. Doing it with other of your beginners HITT. Trying to get fitter after an ankle injury and the years going by. Great workouts. Thanks very much. Sue x
Joe can you session for neck, shoulders and lower back combined for beginners. Please .keep up the good .Never thought I'd ever be motivated to exercise till I saw your channel. You right exercise really does make you feel better not worse 😉
I actually worked out for the endorphins today. Thank you for always talking about how exercise should not only be about body image throughout your videos.
I’m back again, fall off the wagon all the time but every time I try I go a little further. Love these videos, I’m not very coordinated which makes fast paced exercise difficult I always feel like I can go my pace and still feel the effect!
Want to get my fitness up as I recently started playing netball at the tender age of 50 so this was ideal to ease me back into my fitness regime! Thanks, Joe for thinking of every different scenario that people could be facing. 😊
Thank you. Been jogging for a while but weather awful here so decided to do something inside! This was perfect for someone who hasn't done a work out in a long while.
Thanks! this is exactly what I needed to get started back up again. I used to do HIIT pretty much every day but over the last 2 years, I've really fallen off the fitness wagon. Did this one last night and didn't realise until I came to do it again this evening how much my muscles ached! Got my heart rate up nicely and without me feeling like I'm going to pass out!!
Thanks Joe. Just wanted something easy today and this was perfect. Got a sweat on and some early morning movement. Great way to start my day. Love from Canada.
Thank you Joe. I'm getting back into it so doing the low impact ones every week. Will increase to a couple a week before going to the gym to fill the gaps. Subscribed and loving them. Thank you
excellent. thank you. First time I've moved in years thanks to osteoarthritis in the knee. Now I need to search for that one you mentioned about easy on the knees!
These exercises are great. I’ve been doing my own regime for months. Can do about 20 minutes fairly intensive incl 50 squats but these new moves really tested me today! So really I am a beginner. Thanks Joe. I’ll be back.
I also do couch to 5k and found I have more energy since doing your beginner workout (only did first one yesterday and was able even with 2 masks on managed to jog 3 times for about a min each, which before I just walked the whole way and felt tired after it), I now don’t feel tired after the couch to 5k and feel I could easily do another 15 minute walk. Well done joe your getting me into exercise in a fun way.
First time (just done the second one) I have ever done exercise classes. You make it fun to work out, you don’t push people too hard and your local. I love it. Well done joe 🏋🏻🏆
Cheers Joe. Followed you and benefitted from your workouts for a while now. I tested Covid +ve last October. I have now been diagnosed with Long Covid and I'm still not back at work yet, although I hope to be soon. I just did this workout and it was just what I needed to get the heart rate up and feel a bit better in myself, not to mention begin losing the covid pounds. Cheers fella, keep doing what you do 💪
I've pretty much the "beginner" defined. Never exercised regularly. Currently in my 50's and 100 pounds overweight. Hard for me to admit that, but if it helps others, so be it. Thanks for new beginners vid Joe. Usually use your "senior" exercises as I have mobility issues. Happy Sunday ☺️
Thank you for having some workouts for ACTUAL beginners. Trying to get my health back on track and this was the perfect motivator. Doable, but still a challenge. Thank you, thank you :)

Thank you again for this Joe - just what I needed to help me get back into exercising after two week illness. You are a star.
Loved this. Have been focused on everything else but myself over the last 6 months and this is the step back to self care I need. ❤️
Want to get my fitness up as I recently started playing netball at the tender age of 50 so this was ideal to ease me back into my fitness regime! Thanks, Joe for thinking of every different scenario that people could be facing. 😊
I haven't done a workout for so long, this was a great one to start with!
Hello 👋
Thank you. Been jogging for a while but weather awful here so decided to do something inside! This was perfect for someone who hasn't done a work out in a long while.
I never felt so motivated and happy after a workout as I do now. Thank you so much.
Thanks! this is exactly what I needed to get started back up again. I used to do HIIT pretty much every day but over the last 2 years, I've really fallen off the fitness wagon. Great way to get back into the discipline of fitness. Thanks a million Joe.
thanks Joe! exercise for mental health: YES!!!!
Thank you Joe I do your exercise nearly every day and I enjoy it.
Thanks Joe. Just wanted something easy today and this was perfect. Got a sweat on and some early morning movement. Great way to start my day. Love from Canada.

Me too :) good job
Just finished this for the 1st time. Will definitely be giving it another go. Thank you Joe x

The motivation you give during the workout keeps me going I'll be doing this tomorrow for my next workout 👍🏾💪🏾
Thanks joe this is just what I need to get motivated.
I have not worked out in 16 years, and my girlfriend sent me this video and this was the motivation to begin
I'm watching from USA. Thanks and loved this. I just finished and am feeling fantastic!
Thank you Joe. I'm getting back into it so doing the low impact ones every week. Will increase to a couple a week before going to the gym to fill the gaps. Subscribed and loving them. Thank you

My first beginner one done thank you Joe xxxx gonna do this every day now xx
Thanks so much Joe, I’ve been ill and this was a great return to fitness!
First time (just done the second one) I have ever done exercise classes. You make it fun to work out, you don’t push people too hard and your local. I love it. Well done joe 🏋🏻🏆
Thanks for another workout Joe! 👍
Cheers Joe. Followed you and benefitted from your workouts for a while now. I tested Covid +ve last October. I just did this workout and it was just what I needed to get the heart rate up and feel a bit better in myself, not to mention begin losing the covid pounds. Cheers fella, keep doing what you do 💪
I’ve been doing your 22 minute for a few weeks and finding it “easy” now so I’m gonna add this in with it I think 🔥🔥
Hello my friend
Determined to get fitter love how you explain the moves so you don't cause injury to yourself 👍
I'm just about to start on my weight loss journey. Doing Fast 800 Keto Diet to start me off and starting exercises like this will help. Wish me luck!
Thanks so much Joe. Love your workouts.
I've pretty much the "beginner" defined. Never exercised regularly. Currently in my 50's and 100 pounds overweight. Hard for me to admit that, but if it helps others, so be it. I'm going to try to do this every day before work. I hope I stay with it. I was able to get through everything except: high plank (had to use my knees) tricep dips (used my thighs more than likely was intended) and burpees (just noped out of that and did jumping jacks instead). But I got through it. All 15 minutes of it.
Have you found your fitness has improved over the last year??
Joe I love u soo much keep the hard work up
Thank you for the support Joe :)
Used to be an absolute HIIT beast… then I had a baby 😂 just did this workout, first HIIT session postpartum! Had so much fun, thank you Joe 💖
Thank you so much and God bless always...💖✨✨
Exactly what I need after feeling lonely and lazy, and dreading going back to work. Thank you.
Thank you so much for this. About to start a 13 shift in A&E. Perfect start to my day. ❤
Did this today, was a bit hesitant when the plank came up as I was never able to do one before (maybe 5-10 second bursts at best) but I managed to do 40 seconds plus another 30 seconds as I didn't have anything sturdy enough to do the tricep dips with, did the full form plank on both attempts. Was a very nice feeling of accomplishment! Only my 3rd session of HIIT and many more to come!
A good work out to get me started, thanks Joe from Ballywalter NI
Lovely sunny morning here in Glasgow for a change! Thus one is good if you're carrying a few injuries, and don't want to stress anything out. (Added some hand weights anyway!). Session 72 for 2021.
Another workout thank you Joe 👏
