The big reason is because the crowd typically doesn’t give it that energetic response they usually like to see while playing, and also Lars just doesn’t have a ride cymbal anymore. This is why almost no Load or Reload songs get played

Robert Trujillo is undoubtedly a fantastic bassist but unfortunately Metallica lose a lot without Newstead's backing vocals. They became a worse band the day he packed his bags.
