And Kirk plays a slide guitar solo here, however, definitely NOT the only time ever, as I have been reminded, but he just fckng killed it. First time for me hearing & seeing it. Okay. Not entirely true. I did own the Cunning Stunts video tape way back when that was not an irrelevant format as it is today. So I forgot about Kirk's killer slide solo on his bad-ass Ouija board guitar. I didn't really remember him playing it on the other songs everyone has reminded me about. I hate to say it but I had to back off on buying music CDs for a time because I was in a bit of a dire financial situation. So, I owned Kill 'em All all the way through Load, ReLoad, and Symphony & Metallica. Loved that one. Probably why I don't really recall hearing Kirk play slide. (I wanted Death Magnetic? Don't think I ever got it.) Been relying on TH-cam mostly for my music these days. Since I lost everything I owned far more times than I can count. (Anyway. Sorry. Edited this & it got a bit longer, not shorter.) More slide, Kirk.
My favorite from Load. what a great song! \,,\ this concert in particular is cool, even with the lighting mishap in the beginning and coming on during the set was fcking awesome.
I hate how people shit on Lars. He’s not one of the best ever but god damn his drum lines are so characteristic of him. He has his own style and his drum licks are super fun to listen to. Not to mention it’s so much fun to watch him play. If it wasn’t for Lars there wouldn’t be a metallica!

Maybe on Fixxxer and Poor Twisted Me Too, but agreed!
He plays slide on Fixxxer, Turn The Page, Outlaw Torn, and possibly Poor Twisted Me
Add Bleeding Me to the list and On the cover of Turn the Page as well
Turn the page also
It's not the one and only time, dumbass as others have pointed out. He plays slide multiple times on Load, jackass.
I think load and reload is the best era and best albums because I thinks it's their peak of creativity in musician maybe not riff but musician
Girls Breakup Song: Thank You, Next
Guys Breakup Song: Ain’t My Bitch
This isn't a breakup song, dumbass. "Bitch" means "Problem " in this song, yu dumbass!
@@MrParkerman6 it's a joke
@lapinuss
Jokes are supposed to be funny.... And original and have some truth.
@@MrParkerman6 the punchline is that "ain't my bitch" means that it's not your girl when in reality ain't my bitch is just not your problem. I think that's a quite funny pun but ok
@lapinuss
It isn't funny though cuz a million comments have already done it and it usually not done as a joke, but Cuz people don't understand the title or Lyrics which has nothing to do with a girl or woman.
thaaanks
Load and reload are amazing albums
So much energy in this song and the performance I love it
Metallica should play this more often!! Staple. It's groovy
Load was a solid album! I played the hell out of it back when it came out haha.
a bassist like Jason Metallica will never have anymore
The voice crack at 2:47 is iconic
jason, james, lars and kirk the best line-up for metallica (PERFECT!!)
3:36 Sounds like James from 1989.
He just went back to 90s for a second there
@@mistrual3254 Can't tell if this is a joke or not
@@mistrual3254 This is in the 90s
Ik I was fukin dumb
@@mistrual3254 lmao i think you meant to say early 90s
i keep repeating this great performance
Is it just me, or was this the peak for Lars, like his drumming skills were great and his tone for playing this live was amazing
I think it's because of the way Jason plays bass. Cliff and Rob may be technically better bassists, but Jason knew how to keep Lars in check
@@davidscott6011 Oh please. That's not how drumming works.
@@Salomon_G Agreed. Absolute nonsense.
Lars 1988-1993 was a beast.
Lars 1994-1999 was a legend
at least Lars was still using a ride during this time. But Lars skill was great during this period even though he dropped two rack toms and went w/smaller dimensions during this time.
Rock roll I love metallica forever
i love this album & this song, so sad probable metallica will never play this live again anymore and many many flawless gems from load and reload ... :(
“BUT NOW” love Jason
Love this song!
My God where does time go, don't get me wrong, I was an 80s Metalhead, but this album received a lot of negative bullshit. I'm still into old school Thrash and Classic Metal, but as a musician, I also play and listen to a lot of Blues and Outlaw Country Music. That being said, long live Metallica, you still fuckin' ROCK!
Best song of Load and Re-Load...and, in my opinion, the best Metallica song since the Black Album
Even though his voice isn't near peaking here, I'd give anything to have this James voice now.
I've always been a fan of his voice .... one of the many reasons why I love them !!!!
His voice in the 90s was shit at 94,95,97
Angelos Theoharis in my mind this is James’ vocal peak right here
Love the fkin song from start to finish..just brilliant!!!..fking thanks METALLICA..
One of their best songs by a country mile! My stepdad used to blast the load album constantly and this was for sure one of my favourites. I still remember sitting on his knee air drumming at the age of 5 or so 🤪🤪
I miss Jason with Metallica...
One of my fav Metallica songs
