I really like Rob on bass, he is a very talented bassist, but there was just something about Jason's backing "vocals" that added a little bit more to their live shows when he was in the band. I kinda miss it.
I'm not sure I agree with that. Rob really was the guy who got them to play a lot more of the older songs they weren't really paying a ton of attention to before Jason had left.
well like I said, I do love Rob in the band. Hes intense and as far as like Death Magnetic went I wasn't sure if he brought much in for it, but back in the day I did really love Jason's vocals he did. It wouldn't surprise me if he couldn't really do it much now though.

There's nothing, absolutely NOTHING more energetic and epic than looking at James at 7:56, I mean, really go and re-watch it like the thousand times I have

I am so glad to have seen this tour live in Birmingham NEC England 97. I was not so much of a metal head back then and was a raver. Some friends got me to go and from that night I became a Metallica fan and have loved them to this day. 🙂🤘

I was at both of these concerts in 97 and they were on fire, this video barely does it justice. Jason was in the crowd the entire time rocking with people, it was the most memorable concert of my life. Rob is not fit to hold Jason's jockstrap, that's for sure.
