Sideswipe was technically my first Pre-TF toy released as Diaclone with a pilot along with Clamp Down who also have his own pilot. Great research on the character, by the way.
Ever since I was a little kid I always remember sideswipe and Sunstreaker and they were my favourite right next to Bluestreak and finally I have Sunstreaker toy and Bluetreak masterpiece that just made my day
Sounds to me like you need an MP Sideswipe to complete your favorites trio :) I understand the love for the twins since they go together but I'm curious, how did Bluestreak factor in as a favorite for you as well? 🤔
I missed out on the Siege and Kingdom Sideswipes but I was able to get the Gamer Edition Sideswipe and it's a very solid figure. Plus it was $5 off Deluxe figures at Walmart so I was pretty happy to get a really good Sideswipe figure for $20. Great video, gotta be one of my favorite Autobots.
Great score!...I never played FOC so I don't have a connection to that specific version of Sideswipe but I have been tempted to get him along with the SS Movie concept Sunstreaker for my Lambo collection...maybe one day :)

@@StoriesFromTheToyshelf i love the Cybertron games so I had to get Sideswipe from those games. Definitely my favorite Sideswipe with the Bayverse Sideswipe in second place.
@braydenpage1808 if only Sunstreaker was used in the game as well....I would've scooped up both! I hesitate to get any version of the Sunstreaker or Sideswipe if the other brother is not available in the same style...but that's just OC me 😅
Hello Mr. Stories! Wonderful video! I am watching it as I'm writing this (and also finishing an essay haha) I just happened to explain this character to my brother in law the other day, what a coincidence! He grew up with G1 yet had no idea Sunstreaker was Sideswipe's brother If it not much to ask, could you make a video about Hot Shot in the future? I think he's an interesting fellow and the fact Hasbro made Cybertron part of the Unicron trilogy, you could technically talk about his "devolution" as a character

That time I found out about the tech-spec swap, everything in the world made a little more sense. I look forward to the day when I can afford to buy them in their original Diaclone colours, whenever that might be !!!
Yeah there was a lot of that going on back in the day. I think it was quite the mad scramble to create the entire Transformers lore and all the character backgrounds in a very limited time. I'd imagine that it was quite chaotic and stressful 😅 I think Starscream and Skywarp were also mixed up or something. Are you looking to get vintage toys with the original Colors? That might be pricey indeed. There are other great options. CHUG c Versions of Tigertrack and Spinout shouldn't be that difficult to find. And there are also MP versions of them as well. Good luck!
@MatthewCaunsfield I don't think you can go wrong with either :) with regards to G1...hopefully reissues or missing links will be out sooner rather than later :)

When my brother was middle school he played transformers devastation and sideswipe is his playable character maybe is should've got him sideswipe and skywarp for his birthday. Then i should invest in the 5 pack for sunny. 😅 maybe should strongarm for my sister.
I never played Devastation but yeah it was nice to see G1 Sideswipe as one of the main playable characters:) if Sunny was one too I most likely would've given it a try!
