I just upgraded to Cubase Pro 13 last night, and these were a huge help. Thank you so much. I like it so much better now. Steinberg should pay you for this. 😊
I'm only up to the seven-minute mark and these are amazing. Many thanks. "Return to start position on stop" I've just found out is, since C13, a menu item (in the transport menu). Also, I've not been able to find a "move backwards/forwards and continue playing" so I just found I was able to create a macro easily - add the "transport forward (or rewind)" and "start" commands and assign to a key (I used ctrl + shift + "-" and ctrl + shift + "+".
I have Cubase pro 13 and know NOTHING, ZERO,ZILCH ABOUT DAWS! not even the jargon, lingo... Glad your making these videos so I can learn. No one is doing videos on cubase Pro 13, only older stuff
@@EcstasyTunes Please do! I'm using Studio One now (alongside with Reaper), and have been thinking about switching to Pro Tools (expensive), or Cubase for that matter.
THHHAAAANNKK YOOUUUUU. This video is a blessing. Now i can configure cubase to my workflow. Thanks Again. I am a Sonar Cakewalk user since 1999 and a Studio One user too (5 years). I like Cubase but thw workgflow was speed me down, Thanks bro for this
Great video, was this Cubase 13 you were using? I noticed the "Return to start position on stop" is not in my version and I have Cubase 13 pro. I have gotten around this by assigning SHIFT + Space to do it, but I remember Cubase used to do this with double clicking too. I'm a bit rusty at the minute as I've only just upgraded from 9 to 13, thanks for the info tho
also have you any idea why when I assign "duplicate track without data" to CTRL+SHIFT+D it does that ok but it also opens the preferences window too, which is annoying
In my Cubase 13, I don't see the "RETURN TO START POSITION ON STOP" option available. I like to have this option, but I don't see it in the preference setting.
@@EcstasyTunes Thanks for fast reply. Yes I followed your instructions in your video word by word (in Transport) but that option is not available in v13.
@@ryanbo4045It's definitely there. It is a staple in every single DAW. Not sure where exactly it is in cubase 13 cuz I'm still using 12. But you can find the answer yourself by using the cubase online help.. It's in your menu, it's basically like an index of all the features. Just type in some keywords and it'll tell you step by step how to find and activate any feature in cubase..
@@EcstasyTunes Really good stuff in one video! Maybe not new stuff but very relevant for many versions to come I guess. I have a link and I will make sure I'm not missing any of it!
I got annoyed. Far too quick, with vital steps left out and incomprehensible steps added. You said, "I have a keyboard shortcut which I just pressed". What shortcut? Shortcut for what and from where? You didn't even show yourself adding the "group track" or "adding the folder". Is this a video for people in the know? By theway, if you use up down buttons for track selection you wont be able to use them for anything else, like moving notes, so hardly worth it.
Dude, as a new user to Cubase, some of these tips were extremely helpful and I hadn't seen them anywhere else. Many thanks for this.

Thanks for watching mate!!
It was helpful. And as you're still seemingly using Cubase, does it mean that you were not convinced by Studio One so far?
Yes. It's a long story. I'll explain why in my next video. Thank you for watching mate

In Cubase 13 you have to check it under the transport option/tab on top mate. I think this was Cubase 12.
What midi key board do you use?
Roland A-49
Ok, just wondering?
Once I make these changes? Do I have to keep doing it over and over every time I start a new work? A new template?
No you don’t have to. You only have to do it once.
Bro show tips on making the mix blend and drums being built from scratch that sound sweet not robotic….
also have you any idea why when I assign "duplicate track without data" to CTRL+SHIFT+D it does that ok but it also opens the preferences window too, which is annoying
I think there is a multiple key command assigned to this key. You can double check that.
In my Cubase 13, I don't see the "RETURN TO START POSITION ON STOP" option available. I like to have this option, but I don't see it in the preference setting.
You can find it under transport menu mate.
