I have had issues with saving individual samples that I have taken the time to edit, exporting them from Groove Agent and then when I open them up again later, it always has the freaking microscopic click at the end of the sample create by the very micro beginning of the next slice even though I thought I ALREADY edited out of it using the fade out. I don't want to adjust the fade IN because I want the entire attack of the sample intact. I'm sure there is something simple stupid that I am not doing that I need to select. Basically my work flow is using cubase sample track, create slices in that,then exporting to Groove agent with the sections already distributed to every pad, but instead of just that single slice that I want on the pad, it has the ENTIRE long sample I took the slices from with just that section highlighted as being the sample on the pad. How the heck do I just easily export the SLICE only to the pad direct from exporting from sampler track. Did I explain that like the idiot I am when it comes to explaining tech issues (im just a composer man, not a tech wizard haha)

Dude I've been composing all kinds of genres of music since 1989 and Cubase for 15 years and you just slapped me in the face with knowledge that I have been too stubborn to learn myself. Fkn great video brother. I am watching all of what you have. I have been making killer sample sets for years and I've been doing it the old outdated crabby bastard way not even realizing the extra power of Groove Agent. I have Cubase 13 and have been opening it in the cubase sampler track and still doing things the hard way. Thank you for this video man.

In my Cubase 13, I don't see the "RETURN TO START POSITION ON STOP" option available. I like to have this option, but I don't see it in the preference setting.

I understand being freaked by subscriptions; I don't like them either. But you can stop at the current version. You do not need to continue paying and you get to keep an awesome DAW for cheap. I paid good money for the Pro version years ago (also paid for some major updates) and if anything, I'm more pissed off that newbies to Studio One are getting off so cheap ;)

Truly agree! Especially about trying to reach the perfection. My case. I'm always afraid to write a 'wrong' music. That I'll spoil the idea, you know. And this is despite making music for almost 30 years :) Old habits are so difficult to break. And one more exercise, I think of, to increase productivity is to put your hands on a real instrument. Be it a guitar, piano, or even a toy xylophone. I remember I was very productive back in my youth with a heck of a backlog of music drafts, just because I was playing my guitar or Casio every single day.

It seems all these effects are in mono. Are they available in stereo?

Hey dude, I’m trying to work on a beat that has a rolling bass line non stop but it makes everything muddy. Driving me mad, I’ve tried multiple times compressors, all sorts. Still can’t get away with it as it takes all the bandwidth any idea I can shoot the stems if needed.

This plugin is trash. I used to have it. I got a bit suspicious of it after using it a couple of times and tested it and it's literally just a fixed one-band EQ: "damping" just cuts a notch at like 3k or something. You could replicate it with any parametric EQ. Tbh there's an awful lot of snake oil on Plugin Alliance and this is one of the worst offenders.

Yup me too. Loved Studio One 6. Left Logic for it. But Cubase 13 is so good now and Steinberg really listen to their user base. Last time I used it was v10. Tiny re-learning curve and I'm happy again. It's rock solid and isn't plagued by greedy corporation buyouts who mess with my mind and my workflow. Fender, stop punishing your long term users for buying your product outright. Enough with the greedy subscription model. Huge mistake! Leave Studio One to the devs and users and you might win a few of us back. Doubt it though. Cubase has massively leaped forward.

I've been with Studio one since version 3, it is not worth it anymore, so moved to Cubase 13. there is a learning curve, but I am happy with it.

S1 6.6 is a bummer. A very few people use atmos stuff!! the new synth "Lead Architekt" is a bad joke, sounds like a boring 90´s old Roland Rompler!!! why??? Presonus can't build plugins. They only steal features from other DAWs. Mainly from Cubase. You can see this in every update. I will sell my S1 license in the next days too. now back on C13.

former hardcore S1 user - now back on Cubase 13 too and finally very happy. Now Cubase has all this what S1 makes great (like bezier curves, lower zone, vsti pics in browser, much more drag/drop etc.) plus Cubase has much better Midi composing capacities, much better onstock effects, and the mix console is the most flexible on the market. Can´t live without the creative fast SamplerTrack, Control Room, the great professional onstock VSTis. I really love the modern Media Bay sample content! You don´t need thirdparty stuff when you use Cubase, I must say. Great times.

to be honest, if the plugin helps you, ok. Otherwise I don't use things like Gulfoss, Sooth etc. If there is such harshness, a simple eq helps me. If he doesn't do that then the sound doesn't fit into the whole. Sometimes things are quite simple and we should trust our ears.
