You're probably right. I recently had the scope base plate come loose while I was shooting. But I still think after I'm done testing retumbo and h1000 I'm going to look at other bullets. I just don't think the gun likes the 147's.
My hmr did the exact same thing 2 rounds together and a flyer drove my crazy so I bought the trigger and it helped a lot but the paint removed at the screw holes and that made smaller groups hope that helps it was making me crazy.
I just loaded and tested the 147 ELD with staball and federal primers and got consistant three shot groups less than 1/2 inch at 100 yards. Rifle was savage md 10 chambered in 6.5
I bought some LRT, waiting for primers to be able to make up any loads in my 6.5 PRC. Also hoping to use it with 7mm rem mag. For now with 6.5 PRC I'm shooting Norma Golden match 143 gr factory ammo. I was able to get sub 0.5 moa 3-shot group with that ammo at a velocity around 2840. My rifle is a savage 110 tactical
@@thewashingtonreloader that’s factory ammo, not my recipe. It’s a Norma 143gr gtx bullet I believe but I don’t know what powder /primer they’re using.
You know you have a compatible Powder if you can get SDs under 5. Contrary to some of the comments, I am getting Sub half inch groups shooting the 147s at 010 off lands. You definitely need to try adjusting your seating depth. Start with one of the charges that had a good SD and work seating depth. You may need to go back and test charge weight once you find seating depth. I start at 010 off lands and work out if it will fit in the mag. I’m shooting a Fierce Fury btw.
Sorry for taking so long to reply to your comment. The reason I haven't started playing around with the seating depths yet is because I wanted to try as many powders as I could. I recently finished trying different powders and holy crap I found the best at the very end. I will now go back through the powders and test the best SDs with different seating depths. Thanks for the comment.

@@thewashingtonreloader I'm shooting a BadRock rifle with an MTU barrel, 26" in an MDT chassis.
