  • Just collection of some of my memorable long-range kills covering the last couple of years. There are a few double shots where two shooters engage one target, this to ensure the target is hit and we are able to secure meat for the freezer. All shots are from full videos on my channel so check them out!!
    Enjoy and dont forget to like, share and subscribe

    As a Kiwi makes me happy to see someone sharing themselves shooting hinds. Not only are they better eating but they also have a greater negative impact on out bush and native animals. Great shooting and thanks for helping preserve our nature.

      It's a vapor trail, caused by the rapid separation and re colition of air and moisture molecules as the projectile passes through the atmosphere.
      Bullet construction has allot to do with it too. My Sierra match kings (a fatter and shorter bullet) trail quite a bit at range. But my burger vld hunter ( very low drag, long and sleek) , a boat trail hollow point, do not.

    How heavy is that can at the 1:57 mark? What are you doing to tame the harmonics of hanging that much weight at the muzzle? I'm working on a way to lock my can into the desired position after I find the sweet spot. It's pretty amazing how much it effects the groups just pushing the weight forward, or back just a tad.

    Nice pokes fellas! That is some gnarly terrain too! What are your equipment setups? My LR set up is a Ruger No 1 chambered in 7mm STW, 150gr Barnes TSX at 3900fps. Action is like a bank vault and the rifle weighs as much too but I love it and can't bring myself to consider moving away from that set up. Best part is I can take all species here in the US with no worries.

    Awesome video. I shoot with both eyes open as well. Im curious, what caliber is your rifle, what suppressor is that, and what scope if you dont mind me asking?

    Quick question for you. How long do you think a barrel will last in a Tikka T3 chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor and would you think of using a 6.5 Creedmoor rather than a 308 Win?

    • @rogeeproductions2509
      @rogeeproductions2509  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Im not sure about the barrel life for a 6.5..my WSM has had close to 2000rds down range and is still holding sub MOA. No I wouldn't consider a 6.5 instead of my 308, as I know the ballistic performance of my 308 like the back of my hand and it always delivers...the old saying "if it ain't broke then dont fix it"

      @@rogeeproductions2509 Allways appreciate your valued comments, What would be the max distance you would take a shot at an animal with your 308 and if you were buying a rifle as a newbie, would the 6.5 Creedmoor then be of interest if you didn't have a rifle and were looking to buy something you could use for target shooting and hunting. I'm just being told that a 6.5 Creedmoor barrel life is only 900 to 1000 rounds through it, but I'm not convinced that's true!!

      @@Elfin4 600m max for the 308 and if your plan was to shoot PRC and hunt then the 6.5 appears to be peoples choice to do that. I dont have much experience with the 6.5 so id take that all with a grain of salt🤔😉😁👍
