- My 1980 Suzuki RM250 is a fully restored bike I bought off of a good friend of mine who has over 200 bikes in his collection. Mike, the previous owner, has had this bike for a long time and looks like it came out of the restoration process yesterday. The bike was restored to its original condition as much as possible with the exception of some stickers added. Let me know if the rear suspension (shocks) are stock and the muffler. Those are the only two things that I question myself on.
Since I’m a big Suzuki fan and already have a few Suzuki bikes, this fits right into my showroom. This bike won’t see fuel in the tank again since it’s a true showpiece. As time passes, it is getting harder to find original bikes to restore. A few checklist items to go through when looking at purchasing a bike to restore would be clean bottom frame rails, a good condition swing arm, and clean footpegs and foot controls. These parts will tell a story about how the bike has been treated through its owners. It is also helpful if you have the original exhaust and muffler to restore.

Something about those old Suzuki race bikes ,I had a 76 77 78 79 RM125 great race bikes!
Agree and the Suzuki’s are harder to find as well. I think that is one of the reasons why they will continue to go up in value.
That bike has had a lot of work done to it, frame rails welded, swingarm powdercoated plus more
Can I have that bike please, 1979 RM250 was my 3rd motorcycle, am 63 now and bought and sold over 125 motorcycles in my life. Worked at bike shop parts counter for over 15 years and rode and raced from 1974 to 2020. Your living the dream we all wished for....enjoy!!
I'm jus say'n, Flodaddy ❤
You may certainly email me at stark@atacsol.com and make an offer on the bike.
The RM T model was one of the nicest RM models!???????
I agree and a great year to race vintage class.
Gorgeous RM buddy! 😍
Thank you Chris!
Wow !!! I have a thing for the 1980 RM's.. One of my friends had a 1980 RM80 that was the quickest 80 in our little crew.. It was scary fast when l was 8years old.
This bike brings back great memories even though it is a 250 and not the 80.. So glad that your channel was recommended to me !!
These were known as rocket ships and ⚡

Yes, major kuddos to you because the older Suzuki’s are not as easy to source parts.
Front fork lower tubes is also a good indication of usage. What rear shocks are on this bike?
Yes agree! I wish I knew what the rear shocks are.
Awesome collection! Just curios about the bike stands that you use, who makes them?
I order the dirt bike stands on Amazon. The ones for the collection I use A.T.S. For the bikes I ride/race I use Matrix Concepts LS1 lift stands. These are expensive but sign up for their email list you will get a discount code on them which will be over 20% off.
@@CharlieFerer Thanks, I need to get a quality stand that lifts with the foot lever that can be trusted. The 86 CR250 you have looks great, I still think they are the best looking CR's ever.
@@nvmcrider8475 yes, get the Matrix stand.
Do u know where I can get the rubber bushings on the bar mounts for an 82 rm250?
Those are hard to find. I would google and keep your eyes on eBay.
An English guy died when he came up short on a ramp, he had a 78/79 rm250 ,damn tragic ,I'll return and edit his name as the video is on TH-cam "Robin Winter Smith" R.I.P. 🙏🇬🇧🇺🇸
I have an 82 rm250 trying to sell it just needs cosmetics
I would put it up on eBay 👍🏼
