You have the three qualities required to make a great TH-cam channel education, personality, and entertaining content. I know it’s going to be a blast watching this channel grow!
You know Craig I am an old Englishman I am an RTIB qualified mechanic and tookthe technics route I started rebuilding BSA A10s Triumph T120rs moved onto Japanese bikes, to many to recall plus I have had some strokes so doubly so, however your rebuilds have brought back so many memories I am a little envious I still remember the highs of hearing a rebuilt engine burst into life, later in life I became a locksmith and I used to get the same thrill from picking open safes. Any way if you want to employ a cheap mechanic I would fly over and see you, unfortunately motorcycles were resposible for some serious surgery and I am waiting for my other knee to be replaced which will make 24 surgerys, I would just love to be round the smell and grease again and have plenty of time on Japanese bikes, I am at the moment living vicariously through you, I loveed the IT rebuild. Keep up the good work and all the very best I just enjoy your rebuild videos so much, thank you.
bruh everyone on every TH-cam channel has a comment saying the channel deserves to blow up! just STFU already & stop repeating the same bs over & over & over wtf does this channel deserves to blow up even mean? mf has 123k subs what more do you even want? Dirt bike channels never have millions of subs not even the famous riders who have channels so wtf
Awesome video--this brings back some memories: my best friend had an RM 250 in the late 90's and he 'got on it' a bit too hard while taking a turn on a mountainous road. He woke up about 5 minutes later and the bike was hanging in the lowest branches of a tree, by its handlebars, as he had wheelied it into the trunk and that torque monster literally climbed the tree! He nearly broke his collar bone (for the second time) and sprained his thumb. He still isn't sure what knocked him out but he was impressed that the bike had climbed nearly ten feet in the air in order to lodge itself that way! He had a heck of a time getting it down and had to replace a broken throttle cable and then he was back on the trails! That bike is far nicer than his--I hope you hang onto it.
This episode brought back some fond and terrifying memories for me! I went from a cat 4 hp B&S mini bike to a near new 74 TM 400 Suzuki like my hero Roger “D” rode. it just about killed me several times over! That bike was so far over my riding skill level and was known for its hard to manage handling and power band but, what a terrifying thrill ride. My next dirt bike was a new 78 RM 250 what an advancement in suspension technology. The RM helped make me a much better rider due to its much improved handling and tamer power band . My body reminds me every day of the multitude of times my TM 400 bucked me off of it! As always stay safe and healthy! Ron
I had a 1998 RM250 in the early 2000s that bike was So fun. I used to ride it all year round even in the winter time In the deep snow in northeast Ohio. That bike never like to start In the cold even with a new piston and rings! I had it out in my shed I would put an Small space heater right against the engine block for about an hour Before I would go ride it .Great video brought back some good memories Keep up the good work!!
@mk2ingit no I have a good bearing place here but for all the man stuff I hade to order through dealer and hope you're bottom end it still works so all you half to do is press a now rod on the bottom end
These type of videos of tearing things down and building them back up in a wonderful manner really strikes my interest. I usually watch vehicle engine teardowns and have really wanted to see the two wheel side of engine teardowns/rebuilds and this channel is exactly the place for that. Please keep uploading videos gentlemen!
You need to think of motorcycles as ageless! Not old! I was 26 when that bike was in its prime. It served a purpose that it was built for. Today's motorcycle is also built to do something more! Travis Pastrana showed what could be done with the bikes you call old and helped create the bikes that are more capable today! Besides, every second hand bike is new to the purchasers. 😊 I used a shop rag to rotate my circlip out of the bottom of the crank... Separating the crank to retrieve it was not happening!.. 😅 Great job, it looks nice! I knew by the 3rd kick it would start, I had faith in the build because you did everything I would have done. Also, thank you for the fork centering advice, using the front brakes to let it find the equilibrium!
What a brilliant video! I love to ride, but doing a rebuild like this would destroy me and the bike. Great work by Dan, too. This channel is going to grow and grow!! Well done, boys! Craig, you crack me up, mate!
1995 RM 250 2-stroke was my first full sized dirt bike and will always have a special place in my heart. Thing used to scream and go through spark plugs (the sparkplug issue was probably user error and not a whole lot of bike knowledge on my part). I loved that bike.
This is why I like this channel, fresh build and didn't go crazy on it when it was first ride, people really don't know what break in is and it's good to see it done properly, Awesome job
I started watching Craig when he was the mechanic from the bikes and beards channel about six months ago or so, then I figured out that he had his own channel. Never looked back. I love how he brings a realistic funny aspect to working on bikes and still keeps it very informative. Keep up the great work Craig, I look forward to every video you come out with
I'm not a motorcycle guy at all. All I have ridden is a four wheeler on a farm. I'm really interested in buying an old motorbike of some sort to restore. Your videos have taught me heaps 👍👍
Dude, i absolutely loved this one!... my first real bike was an 84 rm125...top end all day long!!!. Suzuki bike always were my favorites....yes even over honda and kawi
When I watched you unloading the bike I thought, "What?! It didn't even come with the engine?!" 😳 Watching someone who knows what they're doing turn a box of old parts into an impressive-looking running bike (started on the third kick!) is so enjoyable. I envy people like you who have the skills and experience to do this stuff. Me, I'm "just a rider" with very limited mechanical ability. Great stuff! Thanks!
I love a long term “over seasoned” project. When tearing down medical equipment as a bio-med engineer, I have to tear down to find the damaged parts and long term wait on parts with no exact lead time. Digging back in is so rewarding. It all comes together and no parts are left on the table. May take multiple tear downs to figure what you missed, but so rewarding of a feeling in the end. Way to many fist pumps into the air when it all comes together and simply works
To take this bike from where it was to where it is in one video is awesome. Great guy, great mechanic. I think I'm going to like this channel. I guessed 3 kicks too lol.
craig, guys, by far this is the best automotive/motorist channel today. You guys have such great chemistry, while also getting stuff done and being entertaining (aka funny as hell!) at the same time. thx is not enough!
Good morning, I really enjoyed watching this video. The sound of the bike firing after the third kick took me back a few years . Keep up the great work putting these enjoyable videos together. Thank you
I knew you were gonna make good videos. Great job. Back in the 70’s I converted a 250 Suzuki enduro into a kitted screamer. So friggen fast, I lowered the frame and it ended up being a screamer on the track until you got to a corner. You picked it back up and took off again. It was a fun bike.
I picked up a roached 96' RM250 for $500 bucks today. Pumped up a tire, unstuck the float and went riding. Needs wheel bearings, chain and sprockets, tires, plastics etc. I'll have a winner for under a grand..
i know one sure thing as a petrol MX head, this bearded man could be the most awesome dad you would ever had, i finally found your tube and its amazing . we want more !
That bike brings back some great memories. Super sad day when I woke up one morning and found it missing 😢 i’ll never forgive the person that stole it from me.
Great Video, Craig you have such a genuine personality and are a natural in front of the camera. Keep this up and I predict this channel will surpass Bikes and Beards one day. Its rare that I watch any youtube video without fast forwarding through at least a portion of it but not with either of the two videos you've released so far. Keep this up, truly exceptional content you're producing here!
My new favorite channel. My old boss had a 92 RM 250, I had a 80 PE 250. If you find an old PE please fix it up, it was a great bike. I had no idea Craig is an actual top notch mechanic, I thought he was just a comedian 😅
Dude love this format! You took the time to explain things, Dan got great shots and made a great montage. Keep it up boys and this channel is bound to grow,
That was cool. Brought back memories when I was racing MX back in the nineties. It was quite weird seeing Suzuki do that with the front forks for that year bike.
Kool videos so far. My late father had a Harley/Suzuki/Honda monstrostry of a motorcycle that he rode, a frankenstein bike of the late 70-80's. Myself 20 bikes later have my current bike I call, Captain Cave Man.
Man I’d love to have that dirt bike. I rebuilt my child hood 89 kx250 frame off restore and 2 weeks later somebody stole it. I’ve been without ever since
I reluctantly sold my 99 rm a few years ago because of not being able to get a new crank and figured I'd better get it sold while it still ran, Needless to say I was quite relieved when the crank you bought from a newer model wasn't going to work. Phewf!
You did a amazing job on that bike 👌 it looks fricking brand new beautiful 👍 I’ve been slacking on watching your videos been waiting to make sure you had a few out to binge 😅
Bought the 96 RM250 new , without doubt one of the best bikes I ever owned . Once I sorted the jetting and put a FMF FATBOY expansion chamber with the factory muffler dialed the suspension clickers , the bike was more than amazing.
Just to add to my first response and be more technical , I ran a NGK B8EV @ 26 Thou , 180 main jet needle in 3rd position , 55 pilot jet and used Shell VSX FULL SYNTHETIC 2STROKE OIL @ 35 to 1 ratio. The bike started 1st kick idled really good had great down low good mid and excellent top end power . As I mentioned I'm really sorry i sold it.
Sweet video Craig. Loved seeing a time lapse of the engine build. Would be nice to see a sort of step by step on a bike engine build for those of us who are interested?
Ive always ridden honda, no real reason except reliability from my first xr100. But back in the day i had a chance to ride a 97 rm250 on the track and wow what a machine. There’s a fourth one pal. A hot mom
The look of surprise on his face when it started on the third kick was priceless!
When the music started I wanted a huge pop up caption that said "team america F-k ya!"

You are so charismatic and natural in front of the camera, you were a diamond in the rough . I'm so happy you started your own channel.
Best part is that you did the entire rebuild in one single video. Awesome video man!
Thank you Craig for bringing back that 2 stroke
Great restoration. Motocross development advanced so radically after my motocross days were done in the mid-1970s.

@mk2ingit no I have a good bearing place here but for all the man stuff I hade to order through dealer and hope you're bottom end it still works so all you half to do is press a now rod on the bottom end
Best TH-cam channel of 2023
The seat on the bike is killing me. Everything else looks really good. Good job craig.
This channel is what we all wanted from Craig. Your calling good sir, I believe you'll find prosperity here!

Craig certainly deserved his own channel. Always interesting stuff to watch!
I had to subscribe as I couldn’t lose out on Craig content.
This guy know what hes doing and being so entertaining at the same time GOLDEN! We love you Craig!
Love watching people's reaction after they fire up an engine they just rebuilt. Great work, bro.

As a kid I wanted a '99 RM80 so bad, I love Honda, always have, but something about those late 90's Suzukis just made me want one.
Thank goodness Dan was there. Saved the entire project.
Very best of luck with the channel gentlemen.

Cool, I remember having posters of this bike on my wall as a kid. The YZ, RM and CR we’re legendary!
I may be getting an Electric Dirt Bike but I learned a lot from this video already especially that fork alignment trick. Thanks Craig.
Sweet, glad to hear Dan the man stayed.......
Good job! Love to see you guys do a chopper from scratch. Love to see familyman do things that keeps them young. Keep up the good work.
Old school "Basket case" that is so cool, another vintage motorcycle resurrected from the dead and saved from the crusher. Once it's gone it's gone
I knew you were gonna make good videos. Great job. Back in the 70’s I converted a 250 Suzuki enduro into a kitted screamer. So friggen fast, I lowered the frame and it ended up being a screamer on the track until you got to a corner. You picked it back up and took off again. It was a fun bike.

i know one sure thing as a petrol MX head, this bearded man could be the most awesome dad you would ever had, i finally found your tube and its amazing . we want more !
What i love about 2 strokes is, they might break more, but they're pretty much engine legos, everything just fits together just right and works lol
That bike brings back some great memories. Super sad day when I woke up one morning and found it missing 😢 i’ll never forgive the person that stole it from me.
Lovely old two stroke I'd love one in my garage, good luck with your project. My best wishes to you from the Philippines ♥️💪👍😉😀😁🏁🏍️🛺🐑🇵🇭🏴⭐
I had a 2001 RM 250. That bike is what got me into 250's.

He’s at 149k already. As time goes. More people and better videos. Before he knows it he will have a million
Ohhhhhh the RM250 2 stroke! I had one of these bad boys!! It was a hill climbing maniac, it would throw you off the back if you weren't hanging on. 😅
I’d love to have one! I remember seeing them in magazines back in the day.
Always wanted a Craig channel 🎉🎉 I like the style, can’t wait for more and to see some cool new mechanic tricks
I got a 92’ rm250 and I love it, such a blast to ride and love the color scheme!
I love watching you fix things up!!
Inspiring
It should have purple radiator guards . This was the best corning bike i ever owned. First bike i started to hit triples on. Great video
This is a really awesome build because it’s so realistic compared to some other channels.
Hurry up with more vids. Love watching while I work. Glad you have your own channel now Craig!
I really enjoyed this build vid. I just finished a 92 RM125 myself. Its crazy how similar these bikes are.
So happy to see you doing your own thing, keep it up Craig!
My first real bike was a Suzuki TC125 .... Loved it.
Was mostly my go to High School and get parts for my Harley i was building.
My new favorite channel. My old boss had a 92 RM 250, I had a 80 PE 250. If you find an old PE please fix it up, it was a great bike. I had no idea Craig is an actual top notch mechanic, I thought he was just a comedian 😅
I don't even ride dirt bikes but I was excited to see that thing start
The IT175 behind you is my dream bike ..fun fun fun ..
I’m sad to see srk goimg away, but happy for him on his journey.
You 2 on the other hand, fine pair! Great work lads
great video, love how he explains everything it notice that he loves what he does, Dan must draw on that knowledge
I love my 96 DR350. Wish they still made these bikes
What I rode at HighPoint in 96 at the Nationals. Never have I ever been so muddy in my life. 🤘
Love watching Craig wrench on bikes and Dan adds good chemistry! You guys have great content!
Awesome video. BnB and now another descent channel for me and my 2 young boys to watch together. Good job guys
19:03 fastest rebuild I ever seen
this new guy Graig is gonna go places with this channel 👍
thanks for sharing !
He’s not a new guy, was with Bikes and Beards a Long Time. Sean couldn’t have done it without Craig and Dan.

What a satisfying restoration video!
That bike looks insane!!! Immaculate work.
this is my favorite one. i've always wanted a dirt bike.
Man I’d love to have that dirt bike. I rebuilt my child hood 89 kx250 frame off restore and 2 weeks later somebody stole it. I’ve been without ever since
Fantastic show! With Craig’s personality combined with high production quality this will grow quickly. Congratulations!

Craig, you are awesome!
I just recently found your channel and can't get enough of it. Bravo!
👏
I had a buddy that had one back in the day. That bike almost killed us both numerous times. It was awesome.
This is going to be an amazing channel. I cant wait to see the growth! Lets go Craig!!
I watched his other video first, he had just over 21k subs. Now he has 24k+. He’s gonna do well! 👍🏻
Bought the 96 RM250 new , without doubt one of the best bikes I ever owned . Once I sorted the jetting and put a FMF FATBOY expansion chamber with the factory muffler dialed the suspension clickers , the bike was more than amazing.

The bike started 1st kick idled really good had great down low good mid and excellent top end power . As I mentioned I'm really sorry i sold it.
Good your bringing my childhood back to life good job
So happy to finally see you with your own channel!! Keep pumping out the content, can’t wait to see what you do on your own and with B&B!
Just watched every video you've made in a row in reverse. Awesome
I have watched almost 2 minutes. The quality of the video is amazing
What a gem bud I love me a mid era rm!! Takes me back!
The 90tis dirt bike are the best, form the cool colors, to the wild graphics, to the best 2strokes ever just kickass
What a truly satisfying video / build, Craig and Craig's side-kick! Thank you, and keep it coming like this. Great success to you guys!
