Samsung has been wanting to get rid of snapdragon from their phones since a long time ago, but it didn't go well for them because they got a late start and had to use snapdragon in the beginning. This resulted in the complete disaster which was Exynos phones lagging behind quite a lot compared to their snapdragon counterparts. After the partnership with AMD for the RDNA GPU Samsung has been getting really close to completely closing the gap. I currently know that Samsung and other competitors to TSMC has been struggling to keep up but they have been developing new technologies that will eventually get them to speed. I think that Samsung is going to finish off snapdragon for good within a few years so I'm looking forward to it.

What a delightful comparison. I love the backgrounds on the phones sort of signifying the characteristics of both phones. Very identically powerful, yet different identities. The presentation in this video is fantastic. If you ask me, after the research, watching the video, the Exynos is a samsung propriety hardware, which makes it both cheaper and likely better compatibility with samsung phones. Samsung is a worthy technological power, and have been making processors in the Exynos series since 2017. Snapdragon, on the other hand, slightly more expensive, but more reputable when it comes to power and performance. Definitely the more popular chipset. You'll see this chipset across multiple brands like One Plus, LG, Google. It's more common, and you'll find more Samsung phones running this chipset than their own Exynos series chipsets. Still. It seems both chips run about the same or similar. I don't think you can go entirely wrong, granted, you'll read many threads with biases and independent factors. I think it's less about the chipset at that point, and more circumstantial. I have been playing Genshin Impact on a One Plus Pro 8 for the past 4 years. It barely runs at 60 FPS without draining the battery and having the lowest settings. I can't play Genshin on PC. I can't stand keyboard and mouse controls or controller. It's funny. I just really like touch controls best. So the thing is, I'd like a phone with a good enough processor to handle Genshin with the settings Hoyoverse clearly intended with their mobile port. How naive have I been. It is clearly still way too much for even modern phones to handle without burning your hands, for either processor. What a shame. Still. My phone is broken, and I want to start saving my primos for Yan Lan. It seems like my options are the cheap alternative FE with a proprietery, yet unfamiliar Exynos processor, or the S24+ with a bigger screen, better battery life, and a familiar processor Snapdragon, but 200$ more, y'know. Better for gaming as far as the screen, but probably not for my wallet, or my pocket. Decisions decisions.... I think objectively, it's a matter of preference. Get what phones suit you best. I don't think you can go wrong here. Both processors can overheat. Both processors are sophisticated and fast, identically. And I want to say you get what you pay for with whichever model you go with for Samsung. It's just crazy to think that even modern processors can't run a 4 year old game. But that's life. That's Chinese software and Korean hardware for ya. I'm probably gonna get the 24 FE and buy a better phone later. This video has been pretty informative, and confirms a lot of the biases I've heard. Sadly, many of the bad ones, but...also some of the good ones. They're powerful, and Samsung provides good support for both chips compared to other brands. By miles. At least, as far as I can tell.
That is on the right side of the phone is a 5G mmWave antenna. Only US models have it. International models only support sub 6 5g and that is why your phone does not have a cutout for it. Because it is not a US model the iPhone is the same sub 6 only international mmWave support in the US models only.
i watched another video comparing the daily (gmaps, videocall, etc) use and the exynos heats up faster outdoors. i think gaming outdoors will have the same problem?

Switched from iphone to android for the first time in years and got s24 thinking it'd obviously have sd and I get scammed with a fucking exynos. Come summer time this shit will probably start burning holes in my pocket. Why would anyone get s24 exy instead of s23 sd?

Thank you for thr video! Love the jjk wallpapers :3
Exynos has terrible modems. They consume a LOT of power. Can you check 4g call (zoom/teams/messenger) , and/or just simple gsm calls how affects the battery?
Also can you put both phones into a metal box, with disabled wifi, and enabled 4g/gsm/bluetooth?
As i know, exynos works perfectly in a city with good gsm coverage, and/or wifi... But i dont know if i can bring this phone to a longer trip without additional battery/charger ?
Anyone know if the Exynos s24 base version gets better? Because I've read it takes at least 6 weeks for the exynos chipset and the phone to learn your behavior and the battery performence starts getting better.
Tbh I got the exynos version and my phone performance very well and I've used the snapdragon version and found not that big of a difference
Camera?
Does anyone else besides me lose connection to the server during the game if you look at the sky?? Exynos 2400.
Super happy with mine S24+ Exynos version. Never had a phone with battery life like this. Switched from S21 Exynos and the upgrade is massive.
What about the battery life while turning on 5g or even 4g ?
@@mostafasaeed1217 I'm ending my day with approx. 30-40%. And this is rather heavy use. I'm biking a lot so gps, streaming Spotify, camera, bluetooth, and 5g a most of the time, and obviously videos on wifi when I'm at home. As I said, I'm super happy so far. Even if snapdragon version is better, I rarely need the amount I have with exynos. I'm not a mobile gamer, though.
Hii brother, how's is your battery 🔋 life now , how much screen on time you getting now , i am planning to buy this
@@चिमडबाकडम-डम покупайте! это шикарный смартфон! батарея отлично!
Tried both. Not gaming at all and the SD8 gen3 version gave me 1.5-2hrs more battery than the Exynos 2400 version.Browsing,Netflix,Music streaming,Reddit,Insta,Emails…
Got a like for Sukuna 😎 after watching this I can recommend the S24+ for friends, the Exynos had me worried at first.
hey, why is the screens are different on 2:56 ?
did u have a last conclusion of the full battery drain? I always hated the Ex becuse its hotter did feel diffrence betwen the device? Btw love ur video very helpful.
When will the battery test upload?
Wow the exynos gpu is extremely impressive destroys 8 gen 3 in ray tracing
The Radeon gpu is good I guess
This was very much useful ❤
Thank you, I don't play mobile games, but I want to know how much is the difference in performance. Does the ram show the total of Ram usage on the system? or is just the game usage?
What's the overlay that shows FPS/temps? Is it Samsung specific or can be on any android?
I think it will also be awesome if you also do a comparison between camera fpr video and stills performance, the issue with exynos is not just peak performance or stability, but the ISP is also hugely different
Thank you for bringing both chipset's comparison
this was so helpful thanks! I hate phone shopping and had done so much research, thought i'd made a decision only to find out everything was giving me US stats!! I did not want to have to start all over again so knowing there isnt a big difference in chips is super helpful.
What happens if you use snapdragon version into a exynos region ? Is there any problem with networks or what?
None at all. The flagship ultra is only available in snapdragon
Where did you get those wallpapers??? Holly shit
Good comparison. Same model with different chipsets in different countries.Thanks.
please compare battery life/drain for normal day-to-day use and thermal throttling. The S23 FE has suffered because of the bad optimization of the exynos 2200
Thank you bro. Finally, a fair comparison. Everyone was comparison the ultra with a non ultra.
Only thing i am worrried with exynos is with battery backup and motherboard issues
Snapdragon will probably remain reliable for another 2 or more generations
I want SD processors to remain reliable forever & all eternity lol XD❤️💋💯❣️🔥🙃🤗😎
@@Terranwilliamson1745 Exynis as well
Exynos as well
@@Terranwilliamson1745 that should not be the case, a monopoly might be problematic in the future
Exynos will be as well
Infact since its Samsung own it'll be better
Great video bro.
Where do you find your wallpapers BTW?
There are 2 links in the discription
Now test the cameras i found snapdragon give high quality images at 3x zoom
Bro did you had any phone with 888 or 8gen1? Exynos2400 is heating like these or less?
S24 user here and i've compare with s22, the difference between s22 vs s24 thermal, battery and performance are like day and night lol
@muhammadirfanrahman8809 so i proceed to buy? I went to store and watched it but it was too damn hot lmao.. last year s23 wasn't that hot in the store..
S23 using sd 8 gen2, the thermal efficiency is better than sd 8 gen 1, if you want to proceed s23 then its ur choice
Finally a REAL comparison video
why is your s24 plus have that side fingerprint button? i don't have it on my s24 plus
That is on the right side of the phone is a 5G mmWave antenna. Only US models have it. International models only support sub 6 5g and that is why your phone does not have a cutout for it. Because it is not a US model the iPhone is the same sub 6 only international mmWave support in the US models only.
Can you compare the camera differences of SD and Exynos? Which one has better quality etc
i watched another video comparing the daily (gmaps, videocall, etc) use and the exynos heats up faster outdoors. i think gaming outdoors will have the same problem?
using Gojo and Sukuna was a great idea. especially Gojo being Snapdragon processor which is more powerful.
but sukuna killed gojo lmao
Nice video. Nice comparison. I've been actually looking for this kind of video
Would love to see a dedicated battery life test comparing the two
I have an S24 plus with Snapdragon 8 gen 3. My geekbench 6 score is 2262 and 6767. Lower then the Exynos 2400.
I think these chips are pretty much the same =) just depends on the chip itself. My 3Dmark wildlife is higher though at 17865
in which region's is the s24+ snapdragon 8 gen 3 available plz do let me know
Great content and video comprision as always brother
So there is really only about an average of a 6% difference between the chips when it comes to performance.
Pretty much

Thank you for making this video, compare the 2 different chip sets
thanks for comparing these two, finally someone did it!
Happy with my Snap 8+ Gen 1, still a beast!!!
May you cover camera comparison of these two devices please.
Hey awesome video, would love to see a battery comparison between the two! I'm sure everyone else would too haha, cheers!
But can the exynos handle future updates as good as snapdragon??? 8:30
Switched from iphone to android for the first time in years and got s24 thinking it'd obviously have sd and I get scammed with a fucking exynos. Come summer time this shit will probably start burning holes in my pocket. Why would anyone get s24 exy instead of s23 sd?
Never heard of exynos 24000 is it the S45 processor ?
Where can i get the wallpaper. Those wallpapers look amazing.❤
Hey can you please make a battery comparison
Why don't they restrict the exynos for the M and F series, and use only snapdragon chips for the A and S models??????
Good to hear but there are rising complaints about Exynos phones with temperature and stability.
Hello, in pubg and COD those 4v4 team player death matches aren't enough, most of the phones can easily handle that, play a hard lobby classic matches. And please do smoothness of the UI with gestures
Where are those wallpapers from?
The obvious elephant in the room is that everyone knows that we’ve been shortchanged this year with an inferior “S24”. While USA, Canada, and China have the real deal. We’re trying to convince ourselves, that second price is okay enough.
I would like to know if the Exynos version would/will recieve some developement; meaning, are drivers, code, etc open sourced by Samsung somewhen?
What if you buy from another country the SD version? Does Samsung support international warranty like Apple and accept it in local trade in offers?
I did buy the HK version and it comes with the basic 12 months Samsung warranty.I don't think trade in would work though.
@@tibortatrai2318 Samsung warranty means local warranty right? Not international? I don't recall Samsung having international warranty like Apple 😅
@@arvi8843 correct but Wonda where I bought the phone from pays for any postage(ships to and back HK)if the phone would have any issues in the future.
