Snapdragon vs Exynos on Galaxy S24 | Exynos is Burning?

- I finally got both Snapdragon and Exynos versions of S24. I compared the performance and battery life of the Galaxy S24 Exynos 2400 to the Galaxy S24 Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. I did a speed test, GPS test, and Benchmarking using Geekbench and 3DMark and tested light and heavy gaming. I also ran social media, web browsing, camera, and other things you do daily. I then played PubG Mobile to test the gaming performance, thermals, and heating. I really wanted to know if the Exynos battery lasts longer. I will do another video to compare the gaming performance of these two phones.

They should sell the Exynos version as S24 FE (Failure edition).
LOL
😂😂
That Exynos 2400 is really good like it keeps up with the SD 8 Gen 3
🤣🤣
It's not that bad but the battery, it does drain slightly faster than its counter part.
The only crime here is samsung sell it at the same price as SD.
Funny how big TH-camrs avoid doing these comparisons... Cheers mate for your hard work
Probably they don't want to lie and at the same time they want to keep getting money from samsung,
Same!
true, everyone is avoiding to some degree these comparisons
yeah i noticed that, their trying to tell us Exynos is up there but clearly its slower, runs hotter and uses more battery.
Because they're from NA, they don't care
I went on the canadian samsung website, the S24+ is on sale at 1400$. There's currently an offer where you can get 250$ off + a free samsung phonecase. Final price = 1150$ (=792€).
On the french samsung website the S24+ is on sale at 1170€, there's no offer nor gifts. Final price = 1170€.
So in France we get a phone 380€ more expensive that doesn't perform as well. I'm definitely not buying this.
Thank you for the video
I'm Canadian, and if you convert 1150$ US to CAD, it's 1700$. I feel like it's easier for US and Europe to get this phone, compared to us. That's nearly 2000$ if you add the taxes and everything with it
@@redsim017 the prices I gave are in CAD not USD
@@DoIwannaKnowIf yea you right, my fault. So dang that's crazy unfair
But based on my research, it's only Canada, USA, China and maybe Japan who has the Snapdragon variant. The rest of the world has the Exynos. Samsung engineers does this move to "optimize phone performance with the market it's sold in"
@@redsim017 In any case it's unfair that we get a more expensive phone that's less performant. It's even worst when you know that the exynos cost them twice less than the snapdragon. They should be cheaper just for this reason alone
Great content , this is my first video and subscribed. Respect from Kenya.
So in Europe, they are charging us more for a phone that is worse than the US variant. They market it as the same phone, but its worse in nearly all aspects, making it a totally different experience and thus a totally different phone. How is there no lawsuit against samsung yet?
Same question from my side also
At least you guys get unlocked bootloaders :/
Don't worry, after the first forced OTA update, the SD version will be crippled and lagging behind the Exynos version.
Is there anywhere you can read up on that?@@operator8014
as much as I hate this, why should there be a lawsuit? It literally is a different market.
Good comparison, if it is 15-20% performance difference and 17% battery difference, Samsung should sell the Exynos version at least 15% cheaper in Europe.
Performance is similar but efficiency isn't
every phone is more expensive in Europe
You don’t have to buy Samsung if you don’t like its performance. Isn’t that simple?
@@daiquirigamer2089it's not that easy, Samsung phones are still the best in every other aspect. It's just annoying. BTW I have the exynos s24 and it's flawless, except that I know that I would get 17% more battery for the same amount of money if I lived in North America
@udvarhelyibalint I can believe that. Seems like you're happy with your S24 which I'm glad for
Bro, you really did make an honest comparison... Cheers!

It's an entirely different phone at this point. Disgraceful how governments cracked down on Apple for using a lightning port because it was against competition, but Samsung can market two different phones with the same name.
Because they sold in different area. It's that simple
It's not because of competition. They had to change the lightning port because it was outdated, it was inconvenient for customers, and it was causing more e-waste to pile up.

@@julianfuryentertainment yes, you will support the company which listens to fans. OnePlus is snappier(it is a deal breaker for me), haptics and display is better. Thanks for this. Finally a good, rigurous comparison.
One of the weakest points of Exynos is the battery consumption of the modem. The other S24 Exynos vs Snapdragon comparisons that I've seen use wifi, which shows they don't know what they are doing.
Mate absolutely bang on! That's what I have been saying all along, on wi-fi Exynos ain't that bad but surely more likely you'll have a power socket for a quick top-up when you are in such a set-up. What matters is when you are out on the move on cellular, then every single percent of battery matters. Glad I didn't go with the Exynos variant. Will stick to my S23 and wait until it's made available or a cheaper way to get Snapdragon variant from US/CA down the line. Qualcomm rules the modem game.
Are you guys accounting for the fact that either version might not support all available cellular frequencies in some regions and may therefore be fighting an uphill battle?
The truth finally ! This is how it should be done an actual thermal and efficiency test. I got s23 blindly for peace of mind and I'm from India so you know how hot Exynos will be in summers

Have you checked Phonearena and gsmarena, their tests and results of the s24+ exynos against the 24 Ultra? According to their results, the S24+ exynos lasts longer than the Ultra in general (but they do not run benchmarks that drain that much power).
Wonderful job! Everyone was expecting this outcome. if the performance+battery durability was similar, samsung would definitely show it.
Great video! Thank you :)
Great job. Thank you for your work. Looking at the results these are two different phones basically.
To anyone who thinks that applications will be soon "optimized" for Exynos - guys, stop this nonsense. Good video thank you 👍
I had been considering getting this one (the compact size is something I've been looking for in phones, but it's mostly a flagship thing I can't afford 😔). But what you said is absolutely true: if we're supposed to spend a lot of money on a phone, it better be damn good, and it's not fair how the global version (the one available in my country) is sold as the same phone while performance is clearly different from the SD. If these are the results on new phones, I'm worried about how it would go after months and years of use.
I'll hold the impulse buy and stay with my still-working 2,5 year-old phone for the moment. Thanks for this test!
We knew the result. But still this is the best Exynos so far. If they improve it in future then it will be a better stuff to competition the snapdragon.
And i can see this Exynos will be so closer to snapdragon 8 gen 2. I request you to do the same test against s23. That will be fun to watch.
Hey man, here you go

the main problem is the modem, if you're only on mobile data 4g/5g you'll probably get 3 more sot hours on snapdragon...
@@alexandruciordas4941 Is on 5G more when it has worse efficiency, in Wi-Fi and 4G is fine.
Exynos Done better this year
