Don't underestimate Exynos. Since last year, Samsung has been intent and serious about making Exynos its best chipset, and Samsung will start making Exynos the chipset in all of its smartphone lines. It's proven that now Exynos is getting closer to Snapdragon's capabilities, maybe the 25 series for Galaxy S25 Ultra will use their newest EXYNOS. the reason they do that is because SNAPDRAGON is made in AMERICA and import costs must be expensive, especially since the trade war makes everything expensive. Instead of Samsung sticking to Snapdragon, it's better for them to make their own chipset better and minimize excessive COST so that smartphone prices don't get more expensive. especially specifically for the ASIAN market. Maybe the US market will still use SNAPDRAGON, but in ASIA it is better to use EXYNOS because of the reduced cost of importing chipsets.
Please s24 plus exynos vs s23 plus sd8gen3 I really want to know the difference between them, if there are significant differences in terms of performance, stability, temperature, and battery drain, because I am thinking of buying one of the two phones.
But does only performance on paper matter? What about the throttle test which is the most important thing when you're going to use the device for 7 years?
@@jee098You're not going to use it for 7 years, that's just a marketing gimmick. Very few people, if any, still use their 7 year old phone now (galaxy S8 for reference), and even if they do it won't be for any multimedia tasks for prolonged periods
@@miscwork-qb7pd i dont agree, i got family members still rocking their old phones (one of them actually has an s8). Keep in mind non tech savy people dont run out each year to replace their phones as we tech enthusiasts do.
@@miscwork-qb7pd I mean not everyone updates their phone every year. There are people who still use 7-8 years old mobile phone which had hardly supported 2-3 years of software support and with older chipsets. But these galaxy s24 lineup promised to give 7 years of software support and unlike pixel 8 series, galaxy s24 ultra has sd 8 gen 3 which is most likely capable of being long lasting enough to support this 7 years of software upgradation. But there is still some doubts regarding exynos chipset even though 2400 might beat 8 gen 3 in terms of performance on paper.
@@Dew4lk This is brought up every time. My relative still keeps their old phone etc. Look, good for them if they're enjoying it. But imo if you're buying a phone, you've got to make sure it matches up to what you use your phone for. They don't have the update longevity, but you can buy 2/3 phones for the price of a flagship and it'll actually save you money in the long run I think too many people waste money and buy flagship phones they don't need just because of social pressure and fomo. The flagships should be for people who can make full use of their features, not your average Joe
Why is it that Samsung have "Short changed" the Uk yet again. This is why I will never buy a Samsung phone again and I was s loyal customer for well over 10 years. Never again !
My Exynos s6 died after I updated the OS from Nougat to Oreo. I lost all my bookmarks after I updated the Samsung browser. I'll never buy Samdung ever again!
Is your battery testing done with WiFi on or mobile data? As I've found running off data uses up the battery like nobody's business and there's no way I'd be able to get 22 hours constant use with it.
The best option is to buy a s23 or s23+, even ultra Instead of these new phones with subpar chips inside, qualcomm's 8gen2 is still better than the new 2400
The difference in year one may not be noticeable between Exynos and SD I’ve found it’s usually a couple a years down the line, in my case out of the one plus 5 and note 8 I still have the OP5 is the stronger gamer and the Wi-Fi signal strength is better I can say the same thing when comparing OP8T with the S21 U. Down the line Exynos doesn’t seem to hold up.
Samsung doesnt sell so good in The us and Hongkong. So they use the best chip available and dont take chances. They sell good elsewhere (specially in europe) with bad chips so they didnt care , until 2 years ago when people start to buy other brands .
Picking up my S24+ today, I'm in Australia so we get the Exynos but from all I've seen and heard it'll suit me just fine, I literally just browse the net, access social media and use some apps for my server / smart home. Through one of our telcos we also get the Watch 6 plus the Buds2 Pro earphones with the pre-order, great deal :D
The problem with exynos is the reliability over time. My phone S21 have rapidly declined in speed and it stutters a lot. Worst is the heat it generates. Hoping the new versions does not have this issue anymore.
Even if exynos is .5 percent behind snapdragon. IT'S BEHIND!!!!! Yet we pay the same. It's irrelevant if you don't notice much/any difference in everyday activity. The fact is it's there. Would you go into the chippy and be happy if you paid £1 and your mate paid £1 but they got 10 percent more chips????? Or you pay 15k for a 1.4 litre car and your mate gets the same model, same price but the garage bumps it up to a 2litre. Yes you probably wouldn't notice a great deal of difference. But that's not the point here. Samsung is bang out of order yet again. Did they not pay any attention to last year's with everyone's grins as we all got snapdragon. Well, Samsung can stick their s24 and s24 plus up their arse
Lol its 80 more powerfull in ray tracing in games like war thunder exynos manged 120 fps while snapdragon 40 fps because of ray tracing as ray tracing games are coming so exynos has got 70 to 80 % edge there
Very interesting test. But I'm tired of the "bricks" in my pocket. I'm still with my s21 exymnos. I would like to see if s24 is a better upgrade than, last year's, snapdragon one, s23. Or maybe skip them both and wait for s25?

Loving my Exynos 2400 S24 here in the UK 😊 The Amber yellow colour I went for. Don't succumb to the mass hysteria regarding Exynos my G's. Everything works perfectly to perfection 😊 I tested & thrown everything on it - sustainability, stability, raw performance, general performance, games, production media apps etc. All good, everything checks out, top level, Top Tier SOC & it will only get better with optimisation/updates 😊 I also have the 24 Ultra but it will be the secondary phone kept at home mainly for media. I could have bought any phone available with any SOC I wanted etc. yet I purposely picked the standard S24 as my main phone 😊 Compact yet powerful enough for everyday use. Good camera (especially with the Expert Raw app that's available only on the newer Galaxy's) Good level screen, decent battery life, future proof & more.
I have traded in my s23 ultra for the s24 plus. Yes, the colors are dull. It seems to be a software bug that doesn't apply the vivid mode. There's no difference between vivid and natural color mode in settings.
I don't care why I'm getting less performance than the same released phone at the same price elsewhere but I care that I'm getting less! Problem with this comparison is that it is the Ultra vs Plus model and not Plus vs Plus / Exynos Vs Snapdragon. So this test will not be accurate anyway since there are a few differences between Plus and Ultra that has an impact.
Nah, I like the boxy look and design of the Ultra series. As soon as you see it, you know it means business. The squared off edges make it look a lot more professional than rounded corners.
I only stream the web socials and look at TH-cam on my video on my and look at TH-cam on my phones, I very rarely game to be honest. Do you think the regular s24 on exynos would be a good fit for that kind of usage?
The only issue that is legimitate is the battery performance and background app drain, but Samsung should be able to patch that up in no time. Non intensive performance should still be solid.
@@DReppin2009 I currently have an Xperia 5V but the software updates and Sony are very lacking but the battery life is awesome. However with what I use a phone for as mentioned TH-cam, social media, and browsing the web apart from the obvious, I was unsure if the two counterparts would offer decent battery life. I've never had a Samsung with exynos in order Google pixel with tensor3
@@MJ-85 you're going to have similar issues with both the Pixel and the base model S24 if you're looking at sustainable battery life, since the Tensor chip in the Pixel are Samsung based. Snapdragon is the best way to go if you want the best battery performance in any android flagship you buy right now. If you're willing to settle for the Exynos, then it comes down to price point. If the Pixel 8 Pro is priced similarly to the regular S24 in your market, go for the Pixel 8, otherwise the S24 is great value for the money regardless of chipset. If you have the extra money to spend I'd suggest you go for the S24 Ultra. Best case scenario is the Snapdragon Gen 3 in the base model s24, but that's only available in certain markets.

@@MJ-85 if you're going to get any S23 model it should be the Ultra, but Samsung is notorious when it comes to optimizing their older models so the gen2 might struggle after future updates. With that said the S23 Ultra is still a solid buy if battery performance is your biggest concern.

Damn seeing the side by side during the video playback of the battery drain test of the new screen on the S24 Ultra with fewer reflections really makes a difference on the viewing experience.
Exactly what you said, benchmarking is benchmarking. Also some benchmarking companies have been paid to boost the scores in the past, so ALWAYS better to rely on actual FPS shown in games and battery life.
I hate this, I really want the S24+ but that chip just feels like a massive short change. Esp when it's 1,159 eur in Ireland. A huge price increase compared to the US for an inferior chip. Left considering the OnePlus 12 but man, that rear design is so ugly.
techmo does a better video for this comparison. - Exynos performs worse in benchmarks - Exynos camera crashed - Exynos adobe rush screen turned blue - Exynos telephoto lens captured the wrong color - Exynos froze during a youtube shorts test - Exynos went up to 51c, whereas snapdragon went up to only 43c - Exynos battery died faster, at the end of the series of tests, snapdragon had 17% left
I was burned twice with exynos junk on the S10+ and the 21ultra. Never again. I don't care what anyone says. They do not deserve my money for selling me that junk
Still, if Snapdragon wasn't better than Exynos, why would Samsung use it on S24 ultra irrespective of the region ! And why give the premium chip for the States exclusively!
Still if snapdragon is better maybe by a slight margin...its still better so why should people be forced to pay "the same" price for less power. We should also remember that exynos is working on 10cores, while snapdragon only on 8cores...and snap even with less cores performs better. Imagine the numbers if snap had the same ammount of cores as exynos, it would leave exynos in dust. Samsung should either do the same process for for each device in each region or lower base price of the models with exynos, simply you get slighlty worse procesor so you pay a little less too compared to models with snapdragon. If I had the same option as US to get either s24 with snap then I would be taking s24+...but since here we have exynos in those then I will do a pass.
I don't understand the stubbornness of Samsung with Exynos. My phone broke and I need to buy a new one. I want the S24 + but I refuse to pay the same and more than US people and get an inferior product. Google Pixel it is.
enable Game Booster Plus will disabled Alternate game performance management fiction ,my S23 have worse gaming performance when using Game Booster Plus.
I guess if Samsung would really be thinking their Exynos Chip is just as good as SD, than there would be no S24 Ultra with SD in Exynos regions. On top of that, the Exynos Chip doesn't support Wifi 7. For a phone with 7 years Software Support, that is a deal breaker.

Find me 1 video where exynoss wins. Stop looking for excuses for samsung. Its inferior. It's been tested against s23 which even best it in battery life. Which says it all....
It is fair, though.
The two phones are around the same size, so there are no thermal constraints due to size that would limit the S24+ in any way and it's not like the SD S24 Ultra has a different SOC than the SD S24+.
Upgraded from s22ultra to s24 ultra. Pubg was terrible on the exynos. Now I'm happy to have the snapdragon and pubg plays wonderfully. Only problem is, I don't play pubg anymore lol

I was shocked exynos vs snapdragon thermals and performance was similar. As a Pixel user, the tensor g4 should have similar performance without excessive heat
I hope so ...I've had each of them the six the seven and eight I just kept training them in cuz I would get a good deal but they all run warm I mean it's a really good phone but in the summer time take it outside and you're in trouble with the battery life.

After pre-order offers finish, S23 Ultra will be cheaper than S24+, it migh be better choice 🤔
Thanks for this 👍 Is there any s23 vs s24 exynos comparison video? I mean a proper one included battery test etc.
Samsung is cheater brand very downgraded screen is provided in s24 series all paid youtubers are totally silent on this that is biggest issue😢😢
They don't even mentioned about weak vibration system still very weak on this series...
Snapdragon 8 gen 3 made in Taiwan by TSMC ??
Please s24 plus exynos vs s23 plus sd8gen3 I really want to know the difference between them, if there are significant differences in terms of performance, stability, temperature, and battery drain, because I am thinking of buying one of the two phones.
Emulator gamers MUST get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 over the RUBBISH Exynos Processor
true
A gaming test with only 1 game is not a good gaming test
Exynos is surprisingly CLOSE to the 8 Gen 3 this year. Previous years it would have been like ALMOST a generation difference.
If all you do on your phone is calls and messages, and occasionally social media, why not buy a midranger that can be 70-80% of the flagship? They don't have the update longevity, but you can buy 2/3 phones for the price of a flagship and it'll actually save you money in the long run
I think too many people waste money and buy flagship phones they don't need just because of social pressure and fomo. The flagships should be for people who can make full use of their features, not your average Joe

Why does Samsung prioritise snapdragon chipset in America over the rest of the world which sell far more Samsung devices.
So they get more profit, since they don't have to pay Qualcomm for the devices they sell.
Samsung doesnt sell so good in The us and Hongkong. So they use the best chip available and dont take chances. They sell good elsewhere (specially in europe) with bad chips so they didnt care , until 2 years ago when people start to buy other brands .
Samsung has an agreement with Qualcomm that prevents them from selling Exynos in the US. Might be a patent issue.
