    The Samsung FE phones are the only ones you should buy from Samsung. You get 90% of the flagship phones at half the price. I have the s24 pluss and I wish I didn't pay $1,000 for the s24 pluss when I could have gotten this one for $449 with a trade in of any old phone. Don't play into the chip set and all the other jargon all there's reviews like to tell you. So yeah, hope this happens.

      Problem is its not half the price. You get 90% of flagship but at 70% price, $549 vs $799.

      Don't know if it's a problem, still sounds reasonable. But yes, it's not a no-brainer, especially if comparing the 256gb version, then it's only 20-25% cheaper.

      You have a point. Its a great value phone.
      But saying its the " only ones you should buy from Samsung " is an overstatement.
      There is a reason, the flagships have flagship price.
      Those little corner cutters to save price on the FE, you can not tell via a review or specs, you must use it to feel them. And trust me, you do FEEL them, it depends on you whether those "experiences" are deal breakers or not.
      Plus, there are Flip and Fold phones from Samsung, which imo once i used them, its hard for me to go back to bar phone atm.
      But nonetheless, s24FE is a great value phone, no arguement.

      100% agree. I have the 20FE and was looking to upgrade, for $449 month on cricket. Plus I'm old, and about the only part of this review that really seem to stand out, is that they've gone even larger, so the phone won't fit my hands or pockets now. Plus, the reviewer mentioned poor low light performance. I haven't been unhappy with the 20FE but I'm going to look for cost conscience phones of the same size or smaller.
      Edit: no memory card??? Ehhh.

      TBF I prefer a bigger display size because watching movies and playing games is more enjoyable. I also guess the majority of consumers think the same as people tend to buy larger and larger smartphones. But I understand your point.

    For 95% of people in their 99% of time they use a case, so I don't understand why people really love to talk about the material of the back, not on topics of density/weight, thermal conductivity, impact resistance, but on topics of whether it collects fingerprint or dust. Changing from old A series to modern galaxy all series design, the biggest disappointment is that it becomes so uncomfortable to hold, rectangle replaces rond edges, weight increases much. The use of glass takes an essential role in it. So if someone is wise to comment on materials, I want him to know good quality plastics is the best choice.

    • @PhillipLemmon

    I just switched from a Galaxy A11 to the S24 FE. Got it on sale at Best Buy for US$500. Couldn't have made a better choice, as I find the A series is MUCH slower, even for my casual use. I bought a higher-end OtterBox case, and a screen protector, plus had to buy the wall adapter (OtterBox) - don't know why they don't come with the wall adapter - how could you use it WITHOUT one? So, I'm all-in at about US$600. A great buy, as far as I'm concerned. (BTW - I reset my A11, and it's much faster now. If you have an A series Galaxy, and want to keep it going, just reset it, and re-install the apps. You'll find it will still perform well.)

    Just got a brand new S24 FE (graphite color only) via Cricket Wireless here in the USA. Cricket is an MVNO that utilizes AT&T towers so there is *plenty* of coverage. The cost was only *$99* for the device and *$120* for 2 months of Cricket's "unlimited" plan. So *$219.99* and you must stay on Cricket for 6 months. You don't have to keep using the $60/month "unlimited" plan after the first 2 months, the service you've already paid for. *Amazing value in that you don't have to come up with like $650 to get it.*
    After 6 months your phone can be unlocked and you can be on your merry way.

    Thank you for the "honest" review! You NAILED every aspect this phone offers. As YOU stated, this phone is bar FAR better than the S23FE Snapdragon 3 Gen1 that I used for a year. Also, I do NOT take "professional" picture/video and the S24FE is MORE than enough for most, which is on par with the S24+ unless you nit-pic. The S24FE is NO slouch and actually heats up LESS than an Exynos 2400 CPU under heavy loads, which is why they tuned down ONE core from 3.2Ghz to 3.1Gz with a LARGER heat chamber on the 2400e. It's very snappy and has yet to stumble on me yet as the Snapdragon S23FE did all the time as well as the HEAT. Now, as far as price, I got the S24FE in the USA for $609 with 256Gb of storage AND sold my S23FE for $290. So, the overall gains are MORE than worth it for the overall price I paid and selling my previous phone with the LONG seven-year update cycle. (I'll NEVER keep this phone for this long, btw!)
    I was a Samsung NOTE user for YEARS staring with the Note 3. My last Note was the 10+ 5g which I dropped and ended up replacing it with an S20FE which was actually FASTER and have NO need for the S-Pen and NO longer wish to PAY the INSANE price for the new ULTRA models. The FE is a GOOD compromise and the S24FE is enough for my needs that offers DEX, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging for my buds, and has an improved battery life. The bezels are ALSO reduced on the 24FE vs. the 23FE and with a proper MAG-Safe case is hardly an issue.

I have been with Koodo for 15 years.. month to month always got my phones from them on tab.. but today my bill went down 10 bucks, free international calling,, 60 gig of data, and a free Samsung S24 F.E. I was looking to change plans or by a phone but who in their right mind would turn down that phone for free.. I thought it was 5 bucks a month on the tab, which I was willing to pay.. but no I am actually getting that phone with sim card and cord for "free".. what a great day..

    I can’t decide between s23 and s24fe, for the following reasons:
    - battery life is important for me, but I’m not an intensive user
    - I don’t usually like phones that are too big
    - the bezels are quite cheaply-made tbh
    Would ya’ll say that given that I should go for the 23, or the battery is particularly bad?

    • @AltafHussain-qb5yp
      @AltafHussain-qb5yp หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you want to use your phone for long period of time, then go for s24 fe because it has larger battery and 7 years of updates. But if you use your phone for 1 or 2 years then go for s23 because it has smaller bezel and a true flagship experience.

    Maybe it's because I'm coming from an A71, but the S24 FE has an amazing speaker. I didn't realize it had TWO speakers! One on the top, and one on the bottom.
    Is that a standard feature nowadays? Either way, it's a very nice feature because it sounds like a higher quality portable speaker.
    I'm gonna miss the macro camera from the A71, though. Especially because I take pictures of action figures and close ups. That's my only nitpick.

    1) Nobody's paying full price. I got mine for $ 474.99 + taxes in Canada with coupon and trading in a broken non-functional phone for a $200 credit. Many people did that.
    2) You need a stand for the mike instead of holding it.

    • @jonvaliagas
      @jonvaliagas  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I do not include trade-ins, and promos when talking about these devices because for starters, they're not permanent, and depend on region. You could say the same for any phone. The Fold 6 is like $1000 after trade-in and promos, but it's $2700 MSRP in Canada. That's a savings of $1,700, but that doesn't mean the phone is $1,000.
      I am also holding the mic in this because the stand I have to boom it is not in my house, I am in the process of moving studios. I needed to re-shoot the A-Roll for this video on a whim, last night, because the audio did not record in the previous go-around.
      It doesn't hurt to be a reasonable person, you don't need to be negative in a comment.
