Clint is a pretty down to earth dude. He doesn’t need to put on a whole display of who and what he can do. He’d rather just show you vs tell you about it
Yeah but he whined about Liam Neeson just because he’s taller than him lol

@@mackyrulez756 okay Macky, remember your comment. And whenever you get to be old, remember not to whine about anything since you're so perfect apparently lol
@@ArkansasGamer why are you so annoying?
Clint is a genuinely terrific human being. I spent about 15 years working on the Warner lot and most of that was on sets close to his offices. He'd talk to anyone, smile and ask how you were doing, etc. He had a gourmet food truck outside of his set once, serving the crew lobster tail and filet mignon, I kid you not. And he sent someone around to the neighboring offices to let us know we could partake as well, which is unheard of.
Let's compare that to Spielberg, who was shooting that horrible Indiana Jones debacle on the main stage, across from my window. He'd sit outside in his director's chair, with his name on it, literally the only person outside so he stuck out like a sore thumb as tours were cruising by and yet he instructed several of the WB security guys to tell us that "you're not allowed to talk to, approach or LOOK at Mr. Spielberg." As the dingus was sitting about 5 feet from my office window, that was basically impossible unless I turned my desk around, lol.
The guard cringed as he said it, because any human who isn't a douche knows how ridiculous that is.
Interesting, eh.
So yeah, Clint for the win, and he must have some damn happy horses, lol.

@@paulhunter9613Actor bad. Celebrity bad. Reeeeee
@@Zack_410yes.
He also famously does 1-2 takes max. I remember Matt Damon telling a story from filming Invictus and him asking for a third take, Eastwood replied "Why? You want to waste everybody's time?"
That explains why there are so many bad takes in movies he directs. I totally respect him, but that explains why so many scenes are just so cheesy and unconvincing. Sometimes it takes more than two for the actors to settle into the vibe for the scene.

Never thought I'd see "treats us like horses" being used in such an endearing way.
Worked as crew on 3 movies with Clint. Nicest, calmest man I ever met. But so intimidating to be next to.
Really? I worked on the Warner lot, next door to his offices and while he cuts an impressive figure, to be sure, his warmth made him instantly less intimidating for me.
You could say he was almost like Michael Scott... "I want people to be afraid of how much they love me"
That's awesome! I would love to meet him.
I worked with a guy who was an extra on Gran Torino. Said it was the most tightly run set he'd ever been on.
I mean, I've seen him kill hundreds of men, so I get the intimidation.
I could listen to Tom give stories all day lol love that man
Remember Isaac Kappy
When you realize Clint realized that actors are panicky stupid animals before most other people.
Mr Eastwood also works fast without a lot of fuss over absolute perfection. I remember watching him direct himself back in the 80s. He said, “OK, next setup.” The Operator said, “I could use one more.” Clint - “What do you mean?” Operator - “I didn’t get a good look at you coming through the door.” CE - “They know what I look like. Next setup.”
LOL!!!!!!
Ha! If only we had more like Clint.
Eh yo! 😂😅😆 That's cowboy as hell. Yo I love it.
It's funny because you watch his movies and you never feel like it's lacking in terms of cinematography or camera angles or anything like that. At least nothing stands out to me as a non- expert lol.

Every actor says the same thing, and
I've heard others say they would work with him for nothing. High praise 👏
It’s pretty much the film equivalent of “it’ll look great on my résumé”
In terms of how he treats people, I would have quit my gig at Warner and gone to work for him in a heartbeat. He was kinder to me in passing than my employers ever were. Everyone loves working for him, right down to the runners and PAs.

Clint also was inspired by secret service ear pieces back in the 70s and started giving them to the crew so they could communicate without shouting at each other and disturbing the actors concentration.

Sounds like respect he treats people with.
Tom Hanks. Such a majestic creature.
I've worked on a couple of Eastwood pictures. His AD staff have been with him so long that they know how to set everything up to his liking without him even having to be around set much. It's rare to see that kind of AD loyalty - most are eager to climb the ranks and move on to their own productions as quickly as possible. And he really does just say, very softly, "go" and "stop" for his direction.
They guy can't act, direct nor produce anything worth the money he gets.
@@frankcastle5737 Said the guy who's produced nothing in his life. Your envy is showing, you're glowing green.
clint's a world treasure.
Great actor fs but he treated directors so badly they had to change rules in Hollywood to protect directors from him.
As an actor, having directors who use the gentle approach is genuinely so much more beneficial to everyone involved. Having a director with a clear and calm head, who can also lead and take charge is just magic. Anyone who feels they need to scream 24/7 to get a job done should find a career in construction or something. 😂
I LOVE Tom Hanks, not only is he a brilliant actor, he’s also a very humorous man ❤❤❤

Clint Eastwood is a great man.
This is true. I worked on American Sniper for a month as a background actor. His set and production team were all very chill. This made the job way more enjoyable. He also directed me personally in a scene where I was sitting shoulder to shoulder with Bradley Cooper that unfortunately never made the theatrical release.
That first director is DEFINITELY Ron Howard 😂😂😂
That sounds like one healthy film set

Clint Eastwood, may you live another 90 years😍
Clint cool as the other side of the pillow.
Clint Eastwood is what you call a True Hollywood star a true genius a true and fine actor. The movies that he makes always send such a human message something that speaks of morality and strength and perseverance! These years that we have him directing some of these movies and actually starring in them you consider that so precious!
Hes not wrong, I worked as an extra on The Changeling periodically for a month. He never said "Action!!" saw the fingerspin from the 1st AD many times. Thats freaking funny. He was very quiet, the hanging scene and him filming us stuck out. He just reapeated 'Ok and drop" It was very mellow on that set.
I’m going to school for visual effects, and I’ve taken various film classes where we work in mock studio style crews, and the cultural necessity of shouting “action” is sometimes like the WHOLE REASON people are learning the craft.
It actually started causing problems for us, since the shouting from the crew would occasionally drown out the first lines in the shot. It got to the point where I learned to use the cameras just so that I could start rolling before people realized we were ready, and then just say “go” to avoid all the extra work in editing that I would get stuck with otherwise.
I imagine Clint could walk into a room and say absolutely nothing and everyone would scared and excited at the same time
Always love working on an Eastwood project. The people he surrounds himself with are always the best.
Are you trying to say that you've actually worked with Clint Eastwood before?
@@jordanfelt5978it's not that uncommon given the number of projects he's worked on and the size of a typical feature crew. He even invited us to the gourmet food truck he'd hired for his staff, for some lobster tail and filet mignon, and that was unheard of, lol. Some of our crew had worked with him on set and they absolutely loved Clint. He's a straight shooter but also a real human being. I can't tell you how rare that is in the industry. Certainly the people I worked for were the polar opposite.
Great motto for life - don't scare the horses
Clint Eastwood was also in the military, he has an amazing story .
Clint Eastwood is the man, plain and simple.
Clint has got it right, a set doesn't need to be people panicking and shouting into microphones that is a sign of a crew not knowing what they are doing. If a film is carefully planned and each scene has been storyboarded, choreographed and rehearsed there is just no need to go nuts and shout, everyone already knows what they are doing and when they are doing it. The exception is only when a lot of people doing big stunts in a large environment or outdoors but even then most actors and stunt actors are wired with up with mics.
Shit gets cra no matta how much planin’. So next the yellin’
