This show's probably bad but Totally Ripped Dr. Light needs to be made canon in the games. Like do a prequel to Mega Man 1 where you play as Dr. Light in his younger days when he was built like a truck and you just walk around and tear evil robots apart with your bare hands. I'd 100% play that.

If you look at all the other media relating to Mega Man Classic, you'll see that robots expressing emotions isn't actually that new. Sure, they might include a vague disclaimer that the robots only "simulate" emotions and don't genuinely "feel" them, but that doesn't really change the fact that a lot of the robots still exhibit human behaviour rather than the logic-driven, expressionless behaviour you'd expect from robots outside of the Mega Man franchise.
The universe is clearly different, they could have changed the rules here and there. Plus, do you really expect the show to jump to the X series as some point?
I don't think "because kids show" can justify anything. There are kids shows with good writing, and kids aren't really dumb. We should hold the writing to the same standard as anything else.

Humble Doggo Personally, I don’t really mind the show existing. It’s its own series in its own universe; let it do what it wants so long as it puts a spin on the original. Same could be said with Megaman.exe (and by extension Starforce I guess) and while it does pay more homages to its source material than this, it’s also a pretty drastic departure from regular Megaman as well. I dunno, I suppose I might be mad if this was the only Megaman content we were getting nowadays, but we’ve got MM11, X Collection’s X Challenge, and Megaman in Smash Ultimate coming. Why would you care about this?

I have a question, and it's a rather simple question: How in the bloody hell do you screw up Mega Man, especially _Classic_ Mega Man? I mean, did these people even play any of the games, and did Capcom approve of this? If so, have they even watched the show? I just have so many questions about it, because this show is barely anything like the Mega Man I'm familiar with. Now, I understand if they were wanting to do a new take on the franchise, but in all honesty, the whole thing feels like it was simply made based on the brand name alone with little to no regards to the source material. Say what you will about the Ruby Spears Mega Man cartoon, it may have taken some creative liberties, but it was at least _accurate_ to it's source material, while this... well, in all honesty, I don't know what it's trying to go for other than being one of the most by-the-numbers kid's shows out there.

There’s a Megaman manga out there that has an over-sexualized Roll, Megaman X wanting to f#ck her, and a Brazilian character that claims to want to kill *everyone* in the magna including the main characters for some bizarre reason. This is SERIOUSLY giving me Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures vibes. Highschool setting, themes of racism, antagonists in the original games being allies in the shows (Wily & Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde), an episode about a presidential election, even the main antagonists look similar! Though TBH I think PMatGA is probably better.

Compare it to wing. Sometimes the solution is to remove something. These are issues way beyond discrimination. Plus it's not what classic megsmsn is really about. D. San What’s odd is that in PMatGA racism isn’t a huge theme. Before he became a hero, he was constantly bullied for being yellow, mostly by a bully named Skeebo. After he became a hero, the other students respected him and stopped being racist, except for Skeebo, who is a racist bully throughout the whole series. There’s no episodes really FOCUSED on racism, there’s just 1 character who’s a racist asshole. There’s conflict with the pac-people and the ghosts, but they’re not really different races, as they very clearly establish that the ghosts are dead pac-people. IDK it’s weird.

Megaman parroting Donald's campaign style is a pretty blatant example, it so direct that even if it was funny now, it certainly won't be a few years from now.

Afterthought YES! That’s 100% what I’m feeling about this right now. Also that the robot designs that aren’t Robot Masters are very, very generic. No humanoids except for “Aki”. An idea I would love to see in a future Rockman game is the concept of being damaged more by robot masters if you are using a special weapon from a boss that gets damaged more by the mentioned robot master’s special weapon. For clarification, You’d be killed faster by Fireman by being Hyper Bomb Rockman.

Yeah this series isn’t really that special. Damn shame to cus this is suppose to bring a new generation in to Mega Man. If I was CN I would just remake the Archie Comics. It would advertise the games very well, gives opportunities for merchandise thanks to the robot masters and original characters, and it would just tell good stories for all ages.

Sonicboom Megaman’s sister is Suna in this series, not Roll, but I would’ve loved for Roll to be in this instead. Honestly, if it stuck a little more to the source material, it would’ve been a great push to get kids into Megaman, since 11 is coming out soon, with it’s multiple difficulty modes and all. This show is so conflicting. I like the remixes of Robot Master themes, the references in one of the episodes, (pictures of X, Zero, Iris, and Gutsman’s Ass) and the redesigns of the Robot Masters for the most part, but everything else about it seems so odd. Basically, everything I like about the show is the stuff that references the Classic series, and that’s about it.

X is supposed to be the stronger Megaman, so I guess he´s gonna end this quick with all his weapons If that isn´t enough, X will wear his Ultimate Armor, unleashes his full potential and destroys him. Also, they have strong friends like the Robotmasters with different weapons (and they´re angry, too) and Zero, who will use (a controllable) Zero Virus and wears Absolute Zero at the same time to do his job Wily gave him

I don't get why they always want to make a cartoon of a video-game always be in this alternate universe that has characters that act significantly different. Why not just make the cartoon about... the source material that you're using. I get that you have to change a few things to make it work into a cartoon, but... why change the entire story and lore to something so ridiculous. Pokémon made it work, and its probably harder to do it in that show since the games are RPG and have level up and stuff, but Megaman is an action game.
I feel the same way, though I don't think pokemon really strayed that far from the source material, the source itself left a lot of room to work with anyways. I just feel that they wanted to make an action cartoon but didn't want to try and build up a new IP, so they just grabbed one that was popular and ran with it.
Ehibika What I mean with Pokémon it's that they managed to be faithful to the lore and rules to the game but still adapt the turn based fights to a fitting action based fights, since turn based not only would probably be a little boring animated, but also wouldnt make sense. Megaman is already an action based game with a simple history to be able to change what is needed to change in an animation environment while still being faithful to the source, so why they didn't that is beyond me. But your description of why seems really accurate. Also, I forgot to mention but I also hate when they make it 3d. It just screams "we don't want to spend too much" to me. I know 3d animation can be good, but a lot of the times they just use 3d to make it as fast and as cheap as possible, and in thoses cases it always looks bad to me
Having fully equiped, resistant and disposible fire fighter robots running away at the first sing of danger is a pretty good warning of how stupid things were going to be.
I worked on this show as mostly a concept artist for the interiors of the light house, school, powerplant ect, our concept team had a blast working on it while blasting Megaman osts, I never had anything to do with the writing but I am massive fan and tried to have as many throw backs as I could and where it could be in the timeline. Hope some people enjoy it!
Sorry to say I didn't, but keep up your work as an artist. I didn't like the show, but you designs for the locations look great, and I hope you can find work for other cartoons.

When i saw that weird color on Suna's face, i just assumed she was either always drunk, or she blushes all the damn time could just be wearing some sorta make up for all we know.
I think a neat detail in the first episode was that, sometime during Mega Man's fight with Fire Man, the Fire Man Stage theme played. From what I can gather, Aki's Japanese for "Fall/Autumn", while Suna's Japanese for "Sand/Grit"... Doesn't quite mesh as well as "Rock and Roll", but whatever. I have to agree that this whole show is nonsensical, but it's so nuts in its insanity, I'm watching it anyway.

I have a question, and it's a rather simple question: How in the bloody hell do you screw up Mega Man, especially _Classic_ Mega Man? I mean, did these people even play any of the games, and did Capcom approve of this? If so, have they even watched the show? I just have so many questions about it, because this show is barely anything like the Mega Man I'm familiar with.
Now, I understand if they were wanting to do a new take on the franchise, but in all honesty, the whole thing feels like it was simply made based on the brand name alone with little to no regards to the source material. Say what you will about the Ruby Spears Mega Man cartoon, it may have taken some creative liberties, but it was at least _accurate_ to it's source material, while this... well, in all honesty, I don't know what it's trying to go for other than being one of the most by-the-numbers kid's shows out there.
I;m pretty sure CapCom approved this. They have been stuffing around with Megaman recently, I mean they are selling the Legacy collection on the switch, THROUGH INTERNET DOWNLOAD. YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE STORE TO DOWNLOAD SOMETHING THAT YOU COULD JUST GET BY USING NINTENDO'S E SHOP. AND THEY edit: put it on the E shop

This is SERIOUSLY giving me Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures vibes. Highschool setting, themes of racism, antagonists in the original games being allies in the shows (Wily & Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde), an episode about a presidential election, even the main antagonists look similar! Though TBH I think PMatGA is probably better.

D. San What’s odd is that in PMatGA racism isn’t a huge theme. Before he became a hero, he was constantly bullied for being yellow, mostly by a bully named Skeebo. After he became a hero, the other students respected him and stopped being racist, except for Skeebo, who is a racist bully throughout the whole series. There’s no episodes really FOCUSED on racism, there’s just 1 character who’s a racist asshole. There’s conflict with the pac-people and the ghosts, but they’re not really different races, as they very clearly establish that the ghosts are dead pac-people. IDK it’s weird.

I fear for this show. I could still be different but they try to hard to make everything too gimicky. The writing is pretty bad. Sonicboom Megaman’s sister is Suna in this series, not Roll, but I would’ve loved for Roll to be in this instead. Honestly, if it stuck a little more to the source material, it would’ve been a great push to get kids into Megaman, since 11 is coming out soon, with it’s multiple difficulty modes and all. This show is so conflicting. I like the remixes of Robot Master themes, the references in one of the episodes, (pictures of X, Zero, Iris, and Gutsman’s Ass) and the redesigns of the Robot Masters for the most part, but everything else about it seems so odd. Basically, everything I like about the show is the stuff that references the Classic series, and that’s about it.

I dont understand the point of going through all the trouble of getting the permission to use such an iconic series... just to completely ignore the source material. They could have made this exact show but under a different title and slightly different character designs and no one would even guess that it's supposed to be megaman. Also, they have strong friends like the Robotmasters with different weapons (and they´re angry, too) and Zero, who will use (a controllable) Zero Virus and wears Absolute Zero at the same time to do his job Wily gave him

I don't get why they always want to make a cartoon of a video-game always be in this alternate universe that has characters that act significantly different. Why not just make the cartoon about... the source material that you're using. I get that you have to change a few things to make it work into a cartoon, but... why change the entire story and lore to something so ridiculous. Pokémon made it work, and its probably harder to do it in that show since the games are RPG and have level up and stuff, but Megaman is an action game.
I feel the same way, though I don't think pokemon really strayed that far from the source material, the source itself left a lot of room to work with anyways.
I just feel that they wanted to make an action cartoon but didn't want to try and build up a new IP, so they just grabbed one that was popular and ran with it.
Ehibika What I mean with Pokémon it's that they managed to be faithful to the lore and rules to the game but still adapt the turn based fights to a fitting action based fights, since turn based not only would probably be a little boring animated, but also wouldnt make sense. Megaman is already an action based game with a simple history to be able to change what is needed to change in an animation environment while still being faithful to the source, so why they didn't that is beyond me. But your description of why seems really accurate.
Also, I forgot to mention but I also hate when they make it 3d. It just screams "we don't want to spend too much" to me. I know 3d animation can be good, but a lot of the times they just use 3d to make it as fast and as cheap as possible, and in thoses cases it always looks bad to me

I worked on this show as mostly a concept artist for the interiors of the light house, school, powerplant ect, our concept team had a blast working on it while blasting Megaman osts, I never had anything to do with the writing but I am massive fan and tried to have as many throw backs as I could and where it could be in the timeline. Hope some people enjoy it!
Sorry to say I didn't, but keep up your work as an artist. I didn't like the show, but you designs for the locations look great, and I hope you can find work for other cartoons.

I grew up watching Megaman.exe/NT Warrior, so this was a really disappointing show to learn about.

It had a proper end in the Japanese version, but it never ended in the English dub probably because it was too dark for American viewers.

I think a neat detail in the first episode was that, sometime during Mega Man's fight with Fire Man, the Fire Man Stage theme played.
From what I can gather, Aki's Japanese for "Fall/Autumn", while Suna's Japanese for "Sand/Grit"... Doesn't quite mesh as well as "Rock and Roll", but whatever.
I have to agree that this whole show is nonsensical, but it's so nuts in its insanity, I'm watching it anyway.
