Folder I agree I love it to this day that’s why I plan on one day making videos about it ! That’s why I also made a custom of him ! I mean the series is so good ! It will always be loved !
Think the main reason for why Starforce got so much crap, is cause people were still riding the BN hype train, only to get something very different... Without getting any single game like BN ever since.
proud chaud a lot of Megaman games are underrated, like the ZX games and even their Zero series didn’t get that much attention. It’s a shame to cause ZX IS FREAKING AMAZING!!!
Star Force, EXE, Legends, and ZX are all underrated and get dissed on a regular basis. Original and X series are horribly overrated and get all the spotlight. In other news water is wet. This is the dogma every Megaman fan has to accept.
I think that starforce and zx are underrated because they're overlooked by fans due to people not caring about megaman at the time of their release, legends is rarely spoken of even i dont know much about and finally exe and zero are overshadowed by x and the original megaman. Ive only played zero, exe, starforce and zx so i dont know how good the others are.
@@swallow_skyla3602 It's funny because they fail to be as popular in the modern day since they were overrated to begin with. I wouldn't bat an eye at X or classic but I'd buy a switch for ZX 3, a new MMBN style game with modern day anime and graphics, or a StarForce game with the old BN combat system.
I always thought that was weird. Sirius was obviously foreshadowing a future event, what with the Mu Metal and all. Someone on the Internet later told me that the "future event" was actually the Rogue ZZ fight you can get as a random encounter somewhere. I don't buy it.
There's also how way back in BN4 Duo said he would return to judge humanity again in 200 years. The SF games take place 200 years after BN, yet Duo's nowhere to be seen, even though the 3rd game had a giant meteor on a crash course to Earth just like BN4 did.
Nobody gonna mention all the great tracks from the series such as, Final Battle ground, Meteor Server and Blackhole Server not to mention wave battle version 3?
Jah Jah In Megaman Starforce 2 Pat appears as an option boss and is trying to keep Ray in check. You can battle him as Gemini Spark and he's had some success with keeping Ray in control.
I've played megaman StarForce 1-3 every time I hear the first StarForce theme on DS I cry knowing I've completed my life. No matter how bad everyone says 2&3 are I loved them and the story.
It was on Toonami's streaming platform along with Eyeshield 21 and a few other anime and shows. Since Toonami was still on air for cartoon network at this point sometimes they'd throw us a preview of something they were streaming.
My mom made me go out to dinner with her when it aired. She told me it’d air again, but it never did. I remember setting a reminder for it and everything. I know this happened because I still mention how she made me miss a one time thing.
I think you can watch the English dub on Hulu. I recently watched the Japanese dub online and it was a fun little sideshow to keep me in touch with Starforce.
a dojin in a manga made by a non official company or creator, basically a self published manga/comic not inherently sexual but allot turn out that way due to the creator
I love Starforce. Its honesty my favorite series of the franchise. Real quick though, SF2 had a Tribe King form which was the combination of the 3 OOPart and is achieved by friending a player with the opposite version of the game you had. The 1st SF game in both the USA and Japan has a reference to BN6 buy having a pit full of the P.E.T.s from the game with all the character's logos on them. Also, guy, if you don't want an angry mob headed your way, for the love of god pronounce 'B-Daman as [Be-Da-Mon] every single one of my videos has the proper pronunciation if you need a reference.
Your also forgetting that SF2 if you insert any of the GBA Battle Network game you are send on a sidequest to find all of Lan Hikari Journals and he talks about link power and how he discover it plus it overall power.
On one hand, fans need to buy the games if they want them to keep being mad. On the *other* hand, Capcom needs to make the games that fans want to buy. Given how popular *knock-off* Mega Man games have become, and I don't just mean fan games people can download for free but actual, paid games that borrow heavily from the Mega Man formula and aesthetic, I'm thinking this is mostly on Capcom.
Starforce was good, it's unfortunate that it came right after Battle Network, and didn't make a good first impression because of it. the changes in the combat made it feel a bit more action packed and streamlined, but it felt like their was less strategy and far less combat options, which made many Megaman fans feel like they had merely dumbed down the combat system. It's a shame because Starforce had some awesome ides and story elements that had never been done before. Conceptually, EM Wave change was a spiritual successor to the crossfusion from the Battle Network Anime, and it was exciting to see and entire game focussed around characters that could do that, while telling a story about the nature of human relationships that had layers of depth in the games (didn't feel like it translated too well to the starforce anime in what I saw of the dubs and subs).
9:45 It's common knowledge that Keiji Inafune did not leave Capcom. He was let go while working on Megaman Legends 3, since Legends 2 left on a cliffhanger with unresolved issues, and the Legends series was such a fan favorite series that everyone begged and pleaded for a continuation/conclusion of. He even had fans submit design ideas for stages and such for the game. He was let go in the midst of this and Legends 3 was cancelled. He cared so much about the fans and the project that he even offered to work for free alongside Capcom in order to see it to fruition, which Capcom declined. It was after this that he made Mighty Number 9 to be a spiritual successor. Sadly that project was doomed by shady business practices and poor handing of Kickstarter funds, as well as placing too much stock in merchandising and cartoon deals, assuming Mighty would become a star sensation even before the first game released. With misappropriated funding along with other key errors, Mighty Number 9 released with poor graphics, bad frame rate, cheap effects, a mind numbingly easy and boring difficulty, and a feeling that it was a cheap copycat of Megaman rather than a successor. And now Number 9 is a stain on video game history.
@@Ergeniz I'm not entirely sure but I think it was conflict been Inafune and Capcom about the direction Legends 3 should go in. I think they couldn't see eye to eye and were arguing about the game itself which was why things went the way they did.
@@p.v.7269 Interesting. What's your opinion on Inafune? The common consensus is that he's a conman/hack/incompetent/tailrider now due to the Mighty 9 fiasco. Do you agree with that, or do you think its overly harsh?
@@Ergeniz I don't think he's a hack. I think he was overly optimistic about Mighty's potential popularity. He had a big head over everybody's love of him for his work over the years with MegaMan, and because of that he was overconfident in his ability to deliver a successor to MegaMan with Mighty No. 9. He could have done an amazing job but he let his confidence get to his head, he saw in his mind a future where Mighty was as big a phenomenon as MegaMan himself, with merch and anime shows and collectibles, etc. So when he was given all that money to fund Mighty's production, he got too ambitious and spent a bunch of that money trying to score deals for trading cards, toys, cartoon show rights, and all of that left very little funds for the actual game's production, so they ended up making the game on table scraps and ended up releasing poorly budgeted and produced garbage to the public which permanently ruined Mighty's name.
@@p.v.7269 I think you're right. Sadly, it seemed he didn't quite learn his lesson as he tried to make a spiritual successor to legends before Mighty was even out the door. Not only that, but an accompanying anime as well. So regardless of his talent, his reputation has taken a massive blow that I fear he may never recover from in the VG industry.
The anime for MegaMan StarForce was actually my introduction to the MegaMan as a franchise. I really liked a lot of the concepts and themes it had, shame the second season never got localized nor was a third made for the third game
I love it when people still talk about the Starforce and Battle Network. It's such a special part of my childhood. It's funny that you mention flaws in the battle system of the first Starforce game when I always thought of the battle system in Starforce 3 as most flawed. Like anybody else here though, I'm just sad that 10 years later we never got a Starforce 4.
I grew up with starforce, it’s my favorite megaman ever and I wish it had more fans because the story is actually great and the character growth really shows, I will always love the series no matter what
I've had a history with the BN series so this might seem a bit bias but I honestly didn't like the battle system in Starforce like at all. Like what was said in the video, the system "regressed" rather than progressed. I hated the fact that my area was limited to the back column. Its like I'm going into each battle with a handicap by default. I also preferred the 2D artstyle used in BN over the 3D look of Starforce. The early 3D graphics often resulted in a noticeable drop in frames which did not help the game gain any favor. This last point is about the characters. From what I've recalled, Starforce had very little in the way of actual characters who can fight with you. It was ALWAYS about Megaman and that seems true for all 3 games. I can't think of any other "good" character other than Sonia who can fight alongside Geo. In contrast, the BN series have multiple navis with different abilities who u can even use in the later games (BN5 & 6) which made the game more unique and fresh.
Same story- loved the BN more than anything. I was pumped for starforce, but then felt like the battle arena was worse. Couldn’t move nearly as much and even beating the game I didn’t have the same satisfaction as I did with every other series. What made BN so fun was the skill (dodging attacks in the arena), strategy (building a chip deck), and simply grinding to make your character stronger (get money and better battle chips). Being mostly stuck to 3 platforms was extremely painful.
How come people were expecting something new and not alike BN? At the time I was a huge fan and the only thing I wanted were more games, SF being more of the same BN structure made it even better
They actually put the star force show on Hulu sometime in 2015 I believe. When viz media lost the rights they took it off but the profile for the show is still there. I loved this series immensely as a kid and it ended too soon for me. Star force 3 was the only game I’ve put in over 100 hours. Battle Network had a conclusive ending in the sense it said what happened to all the characters. I was hoping to see the same with Star Force.
Starforce was a great series along with Battle Network. The concepts and themes were so cool. Gave me early knowledge on constellations and electromagnetic radiation. The first game, oh man, the secret bosses got so hard. Making custom combos was a lot of fun. 2nd game was amazing! Awesome maps and fights. lol having the built in god mode made it one of the few games where I could fully clear all achievements. 3rd game, oh man, again, just awesome character designs all around and also the Noise system. I wish that one got anime like the first two.
Battle Network and Starforce are two of my favorite series in the franchise. I think BN had a more interesting world and premise, but Starforce had more interesting characters. Geo grew a lot more as a character in just three games than Lan did in six. But that’s because Geo had a better, more personal backstory, whereas Lan’s backstory was just connected to MegaMan.EXE’s overall story. And yes, Starforce 3 was definitely the best game. The storytelling improved a lot as well, even over the BN games. Still, I’d love it if Capcom continued both series.
I think it's because in star force we get to learn about the humans that become bosses in game. Compared to battle network where it's oh I'm a bad guy with a bad guy navi working for some evil organization cuz I agree with the boss ideology without question. It's good that battle network 4 changes this up a bit but draw back was having to play the game 3 times just to advance in the post game
What killed Starforce was the bad decision to keep that un-needed Multi-version format they started using in BN3. There were next to no actuall differences between the versions except the singular/ titular form and a few chips, otherwise they were the exact same game. This is why a lot of people left after SF1. I still remember a friend who bought all three versions and got extremly dissapointed once he found out that he just bought the same game tree times. Both the old BN series as well as Pokemon atleast tried to somehow justifiy buying multiple versions, and starforce made it look like as if they just did it in the hope of raising their sales-numbers a tiny bit. That's also the reason why Zerker in SF2 was included in both versions, because they originally wanted to sell three different versions AGAIN until someone higher made made the decision to only release two.
That's what i said. Pokemon, and even the Battle-network games, made a good effort to justify the multi-version format the were using. Battle-network gave you 6 different forms per version and many different boss-fights depending on which version you played from BN4 onwards. But in Starforce 1 you only got 1 unique boss-fight and just one form per version which doesn't really change up how you were able to play the game. And when Starforce 3 started to finally go back to how things used to work in the BN series it was already to late.
EnerKaizer The problem with this view is that just like Pokemon, the goal isn't for a single player to buy all 3 games for all the content, it's for players with different versions to connect and share content. No offense, but your friend only has himself to blame for buying all 3 versions assuming the gameplay would be massively different.
The multiple version of the same game scthick has always been a money grabbing scheme. If there is the option to trade even in a single version people would still do it then. Literally everything you said about Starforce in that aspect can be applied to Pokemon and Battle Network as well. Exact same game with very *minor* differences between the versions. If anyone is unsatisfied after buying 2 versions of the same game twice (Sword,Shield), (Gregar,Falzar) etc. That is entirely their fault.
It is a shame that it did so poorly. It did always bother me that the powers from the first wave like burning leo megaman were nonexistent in the second wave, and they gave no explanation as to why.

Just like how in battle network style change was non existent in battle network 4 and beyond. Yes megaman was restored differently after being recovered from alpha destruction but shouldn't he be able to access style change too?
@@andresmarrero8666 the power might be still reliant on their presence. In simple concepts they probably gave geo that power to face Andromeda and with Andromeda defeated they had no reason to have geo keep using the power when it's purpose was served. Starforce 1 was mainly a in house civil war conflict between fm aliens and omega who was originally am turned fm and ended up betraying the fm and was hunted for the Andromeda key. Leo peagasus and dragon were am lifeforms so in all geo was was just given power to resolve an in house conflict hence why star force 2 didn't use it since cuz the am were not concerned nor aware of threats like continent mu
They actually had plans for a Mega Man Star Force 4, but it was 86ed. In it, Geo Stelar was supposed to have become a criminal hacker of some sort (the Satella Police had a bounty on his head).

SHSO- Muhammet It moved from a pay to play, to a freemium game, then completely free game, but was vastly ignored due to system requirements and the supreme popularity of the Create your Level flash games Cartoon Network had when Ben 10 Alien force cam out and dominated the attention. When Megaman Starforce was released, there were multiple Megaman forums hating on the series by Battle Network fans. I loved the battle network games and with starforce announcement, I went ahead and gave it a shot and loved it as well. It broke my heart seeing many people hate it due to the mere fact that 'starforce isn't battle network 7'. I always figured the reason it ended with Megaman Starforce 3 was because since there was way too many different megaman versions, there was just not enough people that enjoyed the series. I always figured it was getting the Digimon treatment where fans were split between the different seasons. But too much so. My main guess was after BN6 came out, it was way to early to release SF1 as there were too many people who still cling onto the previous version. They were asking people to let go of the previous series after only 1 year has passed. If they waited a bit longer, maybe people would've been more likely to give Starforce a chance.
i know this video was made like four years ago but can we talk about how much the star force 2's main theme slaps??? the opening notes followed by the familiar melody from the first game always gives me chills
Doujinshi doesnt only refer to what you said, it actually refers to unnoficial manga, not canon, a fanfic like creation. It just refers to not official material. Which lewd stuff falls into which is why the word is so related to that (sex sells)
6:20 I clearly remember that site correctly, it used to be a site that was promoting the 3rd game by showing you details of new characters and noises form
Little known fact: Star Force DID air on American television...for two hours. It was aired as a special on Cartoon Network way back in August 2007 and it was basically all the episodes put together that were dubbed (13, 12 real ones and a catch-up filled). Maybe they left some out I can’t remember, but it was all part of a scheme to get kids to watch Toonami Jetstream, which was their new streaming service at the time. Toonami was shut down a year later.
The first season was okay and had good pace, sadly, the second season started rushing the ending and well, that's where my hopes for a third season featuring the best game shattered ;_;
Reminds me that I have a copy of starforce pegasus I never picked up again and finished. One day I will come back to it......and your starforce case is *GLORIOUS*
That's not true the star force anime did air on television, i used to watch it on cartoonetwork. it only aired for a day, and Lunar knights wasn't exclusive for japan, i still have the english version. the only Boktai game that was exclusive to japan was Boktai 3. i had Boktai 1 and 2
Man, it's really sad that the fanbase really ignored these games. The gameplay and story were great and I loved that it had 3D models. I might try and snag a copy of Dragon and share it with some friends
I rank the three games as such: #3 best, #1 middle, #2 worst. I didn't care for the crossover as it added nothing to Star Force. It didn't capitalize on how great such a crossover would've been, mainly because the game was a port of the first Battle Network game with Star Force added as an extra chapter. Seriously, how cool would it have been to have Net Navis and Wizards merge?!
The first 6 (12) episodes of the Starforce anime actually aired in a three hour block on Toonami one night to promote it on Toonami Jetstream. After that, it never appeared on television again.
This video is pretty good! Thanks for the list of the games as i plan to play all the more famous megaman series (megaman classic, x, battle network, star force, and legends) so knowing how many there are is handy! :)
Battle network will forever be my favorite series. On ds anyway. I loved legends too. I didn’t really get into this one but I honestly wanna give it a try.
Megaman Starforce is a wonderful set of games. My first Megaman game was Battle network 3(white) and i played all BN games. When i first got my hands on Starforce i still loved the game play since it was a "twist" to the BN style. From what I hear people Bash on Starforce two when in fact that is my favorite one. I bought myself a copy of ZerkerxNinja day one it came out and i have been hunting for a copy of Saurian and I finally got my hands on one a year ago. I will happily say that i own a hard copy of all Battle network and Star force games. I will always go back to Starforce 2 since It is the debut of my all time favorite megaman character to this day, Solo/Rogue. To me he is a mix of Protoman and Forte(Bass), how can you not love that? Everything about him fascinates me on so many levels. Ever since I was young astronomy was always my favorite subject and when i found out that megaman is getting mixed in with that I did NOT hesitate to get this game. I really hope for a Star force 4( even though i know it wont happen) but I would love to see how Geo life is now with his family back together.
Probably you hit a point in your video of SF series. For me, Starforce series was a revolution, but in the another way. I understand why BN gamers and lovers hate SF, but i think they didn't see a potential of gameplay mechanic. It was dynamic, you can actually feel that Megaman swing sword and lock-in mode gives nice look and fight style. For me, BN is very flat in animation and actions in gameplay for today. It is true, that SF is less strategic, but hey - try not use Mega's shield ant tell me again this is easy on some bosses :D. SF is a great series especially if we are talking about a 1st and 3rd plot and character development. It is easy to identify with Geo or other characters, because they have highly real dilemas and problems - stealing inventions, depression of lost parent or friends ... those characters are very close to reality and this is sth unique and you can easily like them. Lan from BN? Lucky kid with friends, parents and great Navi, end of story and character, but it is sth that they could create 6 games and don't touch Lan's growth. Summarize it - BN was a step foward the technology, SF was and is a step forward the feelings and emotions of today's teens. Is it still a room for a SF series or BN? I think yes, but not likely for BN. You know, seeing anime and games it could be perceived as a old game, because we reach almost better technology and seeing theirs is like a bit downgrade. SF is a good universe with funny look of the future, also adding deep characters that can exist in our world. We still have unanwered questions from SF story - what happend to Hyde, maybe some story of Solo, what is happeing with Vega after 2nd game, there is a big room for Omega-Xis back story or back story of Planet FM. Changing gameplay is also a thing - a compromise that will satisfy strategic hunger from BN, but also it will be dynamic, fresh animation and fighting style from SF. It would be nice also for a story, because it is possible to create something less childish and it is if you can remember from BN and SF anime scenes such as Chaud and ProtoMan Cross-Fusion or moment when Cygnus manipulate and crush Geo in emotional way. And to think that 2nd game could have been a great story reference of a nice movie of Studio Ghibli "Laputa, Castle in the Sky" (lost potential so much).
What happened to Mega Man Starforce? It met an unfortunate end. As for us few who played it and saw how truly special and memorable it is, it became one the most unforgettable trilogies and Mega Man games we've played.
Megaman is my favorite Capcom franchise with Megaman X and Battle Network being my favorite installments in the series and I like the other as well but yeah, I can’t deny that the franchise isn’t as much as a hot seller as Capcom’s other franchise, Street Fighter, especially after looking the sales charts. There’s a reason why Megaman X1 got only one remake on the PSP while Street Fighter 2 was re-released more times than anyone could count.
i found starforce before battle network and LOVE starforce (also love battle network). Zerker x saurian was the first ds game that I bought (a whole year before I bought a ds [which is a habit i have for video games, buying one game a year before the system])
You believe Capcom's story? Because low sales sure never stopped Capcom from puking out sequels for other non Megaman games before such as Street Fighter. And saturation is just a pandemic in Capcom period. The outrage from Megaman fans revolve around the fact that Capcom cancelled a high profile game with massive gamer support because someone quit, blamed the fans to their faces and are now lying to the world about the events because Mighty no.9 bombed so hard that Keiji's reputation is in the toilet. And once again i'm the only gamer in the Megaman fanbase who isn't blinded by the shiny keys called Megaman 11 and still remembers the Legends 3 fiasco. Because that's what 11 is. Shiny keys to distract us all that Capcom is in big trouble because its fighting game division is screwed with Marvel vs effectively dead and Street fighter has reached the era of Street fighter 3. Which means either a reboot or a time skip. Both unappetizing options for Capcom. I mean its not like they are gonna revive Power Stone or Star Gladiators right?
aliastheabnormal no one has forgotten about the legends 3 fiasco. So don't assume that Megaman 11 is a shiny toy because people are glad that megaman is alive, that we have forgotten about all the unsavory stuff.
If I remember correctly, the secret satellite server was used as a teaser for the 3rd instalments of the Star Force games. You could unlock more screens by completing certain tasks and eventually you'd find out all of the noise forms
I want a new Megaman Starforce game SO badly. It's a hugely underrated series imo. The 3DS is still being supported with games from time to time... but the big attraction nowadays is ofc the Switch. I feel like they need to put out a collection of all 3 games for the 3DS first and then make a Starforce 4 for the Switch to make people interested in the series. It would be weird to bring out a Starforce 4 while there is a high chance that the current generation of gamers have no idea Starforce exists... Only we fans do still acknowledge the existence of this series. It's very unlikely that Capcom is gonna be interested in developing a game for a system that is slowly nearing the end of it's lifecycle. But... we at least got a nod of Geo's existence in Smash Ultimate, he's a spirit, the Dr. Wily stage has the original Megaman Starforce 1 theme as an unlockable background music track AND he's included in Megaman's final smash. And Megaman 11 is a thing! Who knows what Megaman game Capcom is gonna bring out next? My bet is on a new Megaman X game, as it is far more popular... though I would absolutely love a Megaman Starforce 4. That, or they should remake Rockman Operate Shooting Star for the 3ds/Switch as a beginners entry/gateway for the franchise.
I would absolutely love Starforce 4, especially since they already released a concept art where the Starforce cast were in middle school and they can continue it from there
I remember logging into the secret satellite when i was younger, this thing made me believe that megaman star force 3 was going to be something big, and at least it was for me, it was the first game that i completed in japanese because i couldn´t wait for the american release
EXE absolutely thrashes Star Force in every field except for the waifus and music. That being said, both series are dope and have boons not found in the other so there is really no point in comparing them.
Both series have high-tier waifus. My comment says that EXE isn't objectively better than Star Force when it comes to the girls and the music. Examples of S-tier EXE females are Tamako, Ran (WindMan's operator), Meiru, Pride, Tesla, Mariko, Yuriko, Madoi, Yaito (I'm a degenerate), Anetta, Haruka, Shuuko, Saroma, Miyuki, Superintendent Manabe (I would plow her so hard) ...pretty much every girl in EXE is S-tier.
Its super weird for me really because megaman starforce and zx are actually my fav among the series and they hold special place in my heart, for me they're on the list of my personal legendary games among ff, and skies of arcadia.
I never played the games, but man did the anime make my childhood. I really wish the third game had an anime adaptation and the first 2 anime series were proper full length 52 episodes 24 min, like Exe's OG/Access/Stream, instead of the half length episodes. In effect the first anime was only 2 cour lengths (55 episodes but 10 minutes each, so 28.5 full episodes). Tribe was even worse, 21 episodes 10 minutes, equaling less than 1 cour at 10.5 episodes to the standard 12-13 episodes per cour.
I'm just now finding this video in now 2022 but I find it interesting that out of any megaman game battle network is getting put on consoles next year, and I'm super excited for that personally.
i still remember i was a kid i used to visit my grandma (rip she died in 2018) and watch the megaman battle network anime, one time i went to visit her and discovered the megaman starforce anime for the first time but quickly forgot about because it didn't stick in my head as much as battle network because i had megaman battle network 6 cybeast falzar on my gameboy advace SP (which was stolen by my neighbor like wtf) my cousins had a each of them a DS the youngest had a DS Lite and the oldest had a DSi so i was inspired to buy one as well no matter the model but again i forgot about them until one time nostalia hit me like lightning and decided to rebuy a GBA SP but i counldn't find one until the last person to whom i asked them if they have a GBA SP said:why don't you buy a DS? and i was like:a DS? i bought a DS Lite with ab R4 (smash that like button if you remember R4s) that had megaman starfoce pegasus and i was like:isn't this that megaman that i used to watch and forgot about quickly?it turns out it was and kept playing it and nticing the similarities between t and battle network 6 and amazed by those 3D models to the point where my dad had to take it away from me to sleep the exact same day i bought but when i got it back.i loved it to this day i still love megaman starforce to the point i painted my room blue with yellow highlights in reference to Geo's armour,i have sooooo many megaman starforce wallpapers on my phone,i have the title screen theme from the original megaman starforce and rewatch the anime from time to time; i love this series
Small correction, geo was also smiling in starforce 2 and in both games he fluctuates between his frown face and his smile face depending on what part of the story you're at.
Apparently a 4th game was going to be made, in fact it was half way made but the 3rd game sales were so bad that, capcom dropped it. There's only about 1 - 2 concept art found about it.
I wouldn’t have thought of this game if I hadn’t seen this in my recommended videos. I got an instant nostalgic rush by seeing the gameplay for the first and the cover of LEO.
MegaMan Zero and StarForce was a huge chunk of my childhood, I could only play Leo and then Red Joker later when it was released. I loved all the characters and how each of Geo's friends eventually could also fuse with their EM beings aswell. It was really unfortunate that Capcom basically gave up on MegaMan 😥
OOPArt - "ooo-part" Out Of Place Artifact An artifact of seemingly advanced origin found in a context where it doesn't belong. Like if you found an electric motor in the middle of an Egyptian tomb. Though that's over simplifying it a bit.
I vividly remember seeing a single episode of the anime (the pilot) on TV as a kid. I remember being disappointed that it was never on again after that. It seemed really cool.
The secret Satelli server is an Japan exclusive content for Mega Man Star Force 3 that you could access through Wifi, doing so it allow you to access multiple extra abilities which to be able to use proper you had to have knowledge of poker... You can see why it was exclude from the american version. I had used... Not legal means to get a Japanese version of this game translated and access this server, sad that they couldn't work around that to make it accessible for the rest of the world, it was pretty interesting.
Actually, a series on the DS also did that whole card thing called Spectrobes. I loved the series, especially the second installment. It had two entries on the DS and a third on the Wii (which failed spectacularly)
Megaman Starforce was an amazing series I’m still disappointed we didn’t get a 4th game.
Matt Murray so am I. And the actual title of this game is ryusei no rockman.
The third game didn't sell well enough
Tendou True
Geo got his DAD back
Hey at least you got a 3rd. Us Legends fans didn't even get that much. Damn it Capcom why must you kill everything your fans love?
Megaman Starforce is the official English title of the game, and thus is also the actual title of the game.
i think people gave Megaman star force way too much crap, i actually liked the starforce series.
Folder I agree I love it to this day that’s why I plan on one day making videos about it ! That’s why I also made a custom of him ! I mean the series is so good ! It will always be loved !
Same here I love this series so much.
Those games aren't even in the Wii U eShop.
yeah it was my favorite as well. I lost my megaman game years ago ;-; too bad they stopped making it i would've bought another
Think the main reason for why Starforce got so much crap, is cause people were still riding the BN hype train, only to get something very different... Without getting any single game like BN ever since.
Megaman starforce is way to underrated
proud chaud a lot of Megaman games are underrated, like the ZX games and even their Zero series didn’t get that much attention.
Look, don't say that, ecspicially with the zx games, and you didn't even spell right
@@swallow_skyla3602 It's funny because they fail to be as popular in the modern day since they were overrated to begin with. I wouldn't bat an eye at X or classic but I'd buy a switch for ZX 3, a new MMBN style game with modern day anime and graphics, or a StarForce game with the old BN combat system.
Man, this series of Megaman ended way too soon for me.....
There is still posibility to a fourth game
Because it was crap
Male agent 3 really? Like on switch? That would be cool.
@@hayleyscomet3447 There was a concept art of Geo being a criminal...
@@astrothelab5281 Same, at least the sub is still pretty great. My favorite episode is 46/47. You'll know why when you watch it. :-)
The sad part is the final battle with Sirius in the third game totally set us up for a fourth, but it never happened.
saikyo jushin ah yes it pulls a golden sun dark dawn on us
I always thought that was weird. Sirius was obviously foreshadowing a future event, what with the Mu Metal and all. Someone on the Internet later told me that the "future event" was actually the Rogue ZZ fight you can get as a random encounter somewhere. I don't buy it.
Solo, like Chaud in MMBN6, is apparently made of quantum particles then.
What are you talking about?
There's also how way back in BN4 Duo said he would return to judge humanity again in 200 years. The SF games take place 200 years after BN, yet Duo's nowhere to be seen, even though the 3rd game had a giant meteor on a crash course to Earth just like BN4 did.
Black joker and red ace? 😂😂😂 Did anyone else catch that!!
Sounds cooler that way
Black Joker FTW!!

Nobody gonna mention all the great tracks from the series such as, Final Battle ground, Meteor Server and Blackhole Server not to mention wave battle version 3?
The tracks for every Battle Network/Starforce game was on point 👌
SF3's rendition of Shooting Star is the most godlike track in the OST
I can’t get enough of Battle Network’s boss music, specifically BN3, BN5 (Double Team DS), and BN6.
In the megaman starforce games, we never got to figure out what happened to ray, which always bummed me out, also HELL YEA B-DAMAN
Jah Jah In Megaman Starforce 2 Pat appears as an option boss and is trying to keep Ray in check. You can battle him as Gemini Spark and he's had some success with keeping Ray in control.

1,000% this.
I've played megaman StarForce 1-3 every time I hear the first StarForce theme on DS I cry knowing I've completed my life. No matter how bad everyone says 2&3 are I loved them and the story.
3 was the best tho and it’s not even close
2 was the best.
?
A lot of who played SF3 people regard it as one of the best games in the franchise.
Never aired on tv? I swear they use to run on cartoon network
I remember seeing an episode once too. Didn't stick with me and I have played almost every game in the series.
I vividly remember watching it and loving it one night on TV.
People who didn't play StarForce really missed out the story was great and Geo's character development was amazing
a dojin in a manga made by a non official company or creator, basically a self published manga/comic not inherently sexual but allot turn out that way due to the creator
In the west though...
Unpopular opinion, but I actually prefer Starforce over Battle Network
*gasps*
I do too tbh.
Yeah, same.
You momster.. explain this nonsense
Its not really that unpopular of an opinion. The combat got simplified and felt so much better than BN.
Megaman starforce has always been my favorite game of all time. I still even have rogue/solo as my profile picture since I made my youtube account lol
Demon born from the fire, by MU power, get back to nothing!
BLACK JOKER? RED ACE? HOW DARE YOU SIR

BLACK JOKER FTW!
I see your cobalt blaster.

Why was he let go exactly?
Trump announced space force, so maybe he’s secretly hinting at a reboot. Keep asking questions
"But how do we fund it?" --> somehow an "irrational question" from rational people
The anime for MegaMan StarForce was actually my introduction to the MegaMan as a franchise. I really liked a lot of the concepts and themes it had, shame the second season never got localized nor was a third made for the third game
DAMN, That case is FREAKIN COOL!
“Two versions were made: Black Joked and Red Ace.” Immediately shows Black Ace and Red Joker.
Me: DIES OF LAUGHTER
Nani?!
Lol, I love your pic.
Well, time to buy Megaman 11 like 5 times to see mah boi Geo back in action again. I really need a megaman starforce 4... its been so long...
Still, I’d love it if Capcom continued both series.
youseineko i dunno why ppl are BN vs SF. I see SF as an evolution or adaptation to the DS’s hardware. I enjoy both as one series.
Mega Man Star Force looked amazing, I feel bad for missing out on this series. I’m a sad Mega Man fan now...
EnerKaizer But with Pokémon it kinda works. There are Pokémon that can only evolve by trading.
Apparently since the 3 Satellite Admins left, Geo/Omega-Xs can't tap into the Star Force/Star Break power due to those 3 being way too far away now
night shroud96 which makes little sense to me because they gave him that power, so he should have been able to still access it.

There's a group of Competitive MMSF3 players on Discord! The Game is still alive and thriving 11 years later!

I clearly remember that site correctly, it used to be a site that was promoting the 3rd game by showing you details of new characters and noises form
Who else watched the anime?
I watched both series. The budget was low af tho.
Remember how we got to see the Ninja and Saurian transformations for 1-second in the season finale?
Swallow_Skyla Yup. I liked the Andromenda fight
The series was given the shit treatment by Capcom. They didn't really care for it.
The first season was okay and had good pace, sadly, the second season started rushing the ending and well, that's where my hopes for a third season featuring the best game shattered ;_;

Man, it's really sad that the fanbase really ignored these games. The gameplay and story were great and I loved that it had 3D models. I might try and snag a copy of Dragon and share it with some friends
it was due to this series that got me interested in astronomy
I rank the three games as such: #3 best, #1 middle, #2 worst.
I didn't care for the crossover as it added nothing to Star Force. It didn't capitalize on how great such a crossover would've been, mainly because the game was a port of the first Battle Network game with Star Force added as an extra chapter.
Seriously, how cool would it have been to have Net Navis and Wizards merge?!

I loved MMSF so much!!! It was definitely my favorite game of all the Megaman games. ^^
This video is pretty good! Thanks for the list of the games as i plan to play all the more famous megaman series (megaman classic, x, battle network, star force, and legends) so knowing how many there are is handy! :)
I'm disappoint that the BN1 remake (operation shooting star) didn't get updated sprites.
Battle network will forever be my favorite series. On ds anyway. I loved legends too. I didn’t really get into this one but I honestly wanna give it a try.
My friend named Geo, Subaru McLovin'.
I don't think i've ever even heard of Starforce. Thanks for this video. :)
*SMACC*
You better buy all 3 Starforce games.
Oh god, I remember seeing one episode of Mega Man Star Force and wondering, whatever happened to that series? Thanks for clearing that up!
BLACK JOKER AND RED ACE
I remember playing those games a lot! Red Ace was my favorite though.
My first megaman game tbh
Same here
i found starforce before battle network and LOVE starforce (also love battle network).
Where were you when I was writing this video?
You picking a fight?
Rip Legends 3 and Megaman Universe and many more...
aliastheabnormal no one has forgotten about the legends 3 fiasco. So don't assume that Megaman 11 is a shiny toy because people are glad that megaman is alive, that we have forgotten about all the unsavory stuff.
Andres Marrero Humanity sure could have fucking fooled me!
They need to come out with a command mission 2. That game was awesome
If Mega Man 11 comes out on the switch I will buy it.
It is.
And there's an amiibo version through GameStop.
If I remember correctly, the secret satellite server was used as a teaser for the 3rd instalments of the Star Force games. You could unlock more screens by completing certain tasks and eventually you'd find out all of the noise forms
Watched the anime and played up to Star Force 3 which was awesome (-_- ) Black Joker
I would absolutely love Starforce 4, especially since they already released a concept art where the Starforce cast were in middle school and they can continue it from there
the 3DS is dead now though...
Ahem
Black ace and red joker
I remember logging into the secret satellite when i was younger, this thing made me believe that megaman star force 3 was going to be something big, and at least it was for me, it was the first game that i completed in japanese because i couldn´t wait for the american release
Starforce>battle network
Swallow_Skyla DIDN'T THE FBI GET YOU ALREADY
Starforce was my most favorite series. I love it and I would love to continue the series in my fanfics. I want to remember that excitement again.
There was a supposed Starforce 4... Geo teamed up with Lan's descendant though... But it got cancelled.
I'm just now finding this video in now 2022 but I find it interesting that out of any megaman game battle network is getting put on consoles next year, and I'm super excited for that personally.
This makes me so sad as a star force fan as a kid I replayed each game and got each version over and over. Yes I was that crazy fan.
i still remember i was a kid i used to visit my grandma (rip she died in 2018) and watch the megaman battle network anime, one time i went to visit her and discovered the megaman starforce anime for the first time but quickly forgot about because it didn't stick in my head as much as battle network because i had megaman battle network 6 cybeast falzar on my gameboy advace SP (which was stolen by my neighbor like wtf)
my cousins had a each of them a DS the youngest had a DS Lite and the oldest had a DSi so i was inspired to buy one as well no matter the model but again i forgot about them until one time nostalia hit me like lightning and decided to rebuy a GBA SP but i counldn't find one until the last person to whom i asked them if they have a GBA SP said:why don't you buy a DS? and i was like:a DS? i bought a DS Lite with ab R4 (smash that like button if you remember R4s) that had megaman starfoce pegasus and i was like:isn't this that megaman that i used to watch and forgot about quickly?it turns out it was and kept playing it and nticing the similarities between t and battle network 6 and amazed by those 3D models to the point where my dad had to take it away from me to sleep the exact same day i bought but when i got it back.i loved it
to this day i still love megaman starforce to the point i painted my room blue with yellow highlights in reference to Geo's armour,i have sooooo many megaman starforce wallpapers on my phone,i have the title screen theme from the original megaman starforce and rewatch the anime from time to time;
i love this series
Small correction, geo was also smiling in starforce 2 and in both games he fluctuates between his frown face and his smile face depending on what part of the story you're at.
@Negative Legend Your channel is legendary in a positive way man.
Apparently a 4th game was going to be made, in fact it was half way made but the 3rd game sales were so bad that, capcom dropped it. There's only about 1 - 2 concept art found about it.
Megaman Star Force was my first DS game, I lost it... 😔
I feel like Megaman EXE and Star Force was treated by Capcom as Bionicle was treated by Lego.
I wouldn’t have thought of this game if I hadn’t seen this in my recommended videos. I got an instant nostalgic rush by seeing the gameplay for the first and the cover of LEO.
4:05 Black Joker and Red Ace… excuse me… EXCUSE ME
MegaMan Zero and StarForce was a huge chunk of my childhood, I could only play Leo and then Red Joker later when it was released. I loved all the characters and how each of Geo's friends eventually could also fuse with their EM beings aswell. It was really unfortunate that Capcom basically gave up on MegaMan 😥
OOPArt - "ooo-part"
Out Of Place Artifact
An artifact of seemingly advanced origin found in a context where it doesn't belong. Like if you found an electric motor in the middle of an Egyptian tomb. Though that's over simplifying it a bit.
japzone Well now I understand that whole artifact thing in Starforce 2
