    When using sensitivity toothpaste as you suggested, can you incorporate a whitening mouthwash as well? I'm not sure if using a mouth wash together with a sensitive teeth toothpaste (pre, during, post) would interfere with other active ingredients in the toothpaste making it less effective.

    • @jtchal320

      They still should work albeit not to their full extent. Although if you’re having sensitivity issues, try using products with a lower peroxide percentage. They may take a couple more days to achieve a desired look but they should be much less irritating

      I just started using the whitening strips. I've seen a bit of change and im on day 2 now. But basically they are designed to be safe for your teeth if you use them correctly. They do not harm your enamel if you use them as the instructions tell you to. And also to add to it when you start doing whitening strips, its often recommended avoiding foods and drinks like coffee, chocolate sodas etc because they could cause staining or some harm, because the way the whitening strips work is that they basically penetrate a layer of your tooth into the enamel and then they chemically whiten the enamel of your tooth. So basically for a little time after using the strips, foods like soda and coffee can get into your teeth more easily and could potentially cause staining and erosion, so it is recommened that you stay away from those. You can find a list of all the types of foods you should avoid and what not to do after using them. But other than that, as long as you use them as instructed your teeth will be just fine. They might not work as well for everyone but for me they seem to be working great!

      Hi Matthew, try using Sensodyne Extra fresh toothpaste, it helps with teeth sensitivity and whitens the teeth also. But if you want to achieve a pearly white teeth over a short period, use the CREST 3D whitening strip(20 days treatment). Brush with sensodyne toothpaste 30mins before applying the strips, it helps prevent sensitivity and in less than 2weeks, you would start seeing visible difference. i hope you find this helpful.

    Doesn't it eat ones enamel? Thus weakened teeth? Peroxide that is.

    • @SoldierXfreedom
      @SoldierXfreedom 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anything acidic will take minerals out of your enamel, thus weakening it. However, the hydrogen peroxide you use at 3% is heavily diluted, that means its not as strong of an acid. The ph of a 3% Hydrogen Peroxide solution is going to be around 4-5, so pretty acidic. However, compare this to lemon juice, or even coke with a ph of 2-3, you can see that hydrogen peroxide really isn't that bad. Using hydrogen peroxide on your teeth is a lot safer for your teeth than drinking a can coke, since it is less acidic and it has oxidizing properties that weaken stains.
