I was out practicing my fly rod casting (a noob here), and this guy decided to come along and cast with me. It felt good that someone was wanting to practice with me and I felt like I wasn't the only one struggling with fly fishing. He seemed more adapted to the fly fishing because he was using a regular 13 ft crappie rig with a small soft plastic frog on it to cast, and was doing just as good as me! But at the end, when I showed him my leader, which is 16lb saltwater tapered, he said that it was too heavy for the fly I had on! He said and I quote "You want your leader to be lighter than your fly so that it sinks faster," and it was in that moment that I realized that I didn't know nothing! These videos are what keep me going! If it wasn't for youtube and guys like you willing to teach, I'd probably give up and go back to just live baits! Keep up the good work, we all need it!
Brian thank you for your endless patience. It’s incredible how willing you are to make another tutorial on leaders. Greatly appreciated. Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. God bless my friend. Jeff Stone
