Nice color choice Sam. But I wouldn't throw NOS on an old jag v8 . It's already supercharged. Do the pulley upgrade / mod for more boost.

Okay Sam, I have a Nitrous Express Dry kit on my Focus ST. The Innovate Fail-Safe is a nice add-on that many people should use. I use a Nitrous Express Maximizer 4 to control the nitrous system. I suggest starting with the smallest jet in the box, usually 35 hp and see what happens. What you're looking for is any timing pull and any drops in fuel pressure since this is a wet kit. If everything checks out fine, then move up to 50 hp. Rinse and Repeat. If that is fine, then put in one step colder spark plugs in the engine and up it to 75 hp shot. Also make sure the bottle is 900-1,000 psi. You can use the ZEX plug-in bottle heater, that is what I use. It just plugs in your 12v cig socket. It does take longer to warm up, but since you live in FL and I live in CA this isn't really an issue. Get a pressure gauge! You can let the bottle sit in the sun for a few minutes it will warm up. Point is with a wet kit, all getting is based on the ideal bottle pressure in NX case it's 1050 psi. Below 900 psi it will run too rich and you will not make the rated power for whatever jets your using. Lean is mean with nitrous, you want to be around 12.0 for best power and no it's not too lean for nitrous/force inducted cars. Get a couple of extra fuel jets because chances are it will be really rich with the included jets, too rich to make good power. Talk to NX because you'll want a couple of jets between the power ratings so get the ideal mixture. I used to be an NX dealer a long time ago, so if you have any questions let me know.
Anthony Thomas A dry kit is going to go lean on the Jag. It doesn’t have enough injector to support it.
He has a wet kit, I have a dry kit. His wet kit will be super rich with the stock jetting, trust me.
I greatly prefer wet. Its much easier to tune. With dry you either tune on spray or off, and one way or the other the A/F is going to be off unless they've changed things in the past few years..
a smaller supercharger pulley would have been a very cheap and easy to install option instead of going for nos

Yeah. There was a very similar color Jag XKR-S and I feel like its a decent color for a performance car. I don't like the pearlescent wheels though. And he has to get the grille respayed.

My concern is not the color but the over spray, the radiator shroud, the plastic inside the wheels, the trunk button, the mesh insert thingie...
I used maaco, and am familiar with the shop that did the paint, and generally like them but c'mon this thing is on youtube, spend another 10 minutes masking..

This is the way I would have went.
lower and upper take you to 500 ? can i see dyno ? lol i dont believe that since their stock 350 horsepower on dyno.... You not gone get 150 out of 2 pulleys... the only way to archieve that is to go with twinscrew conversion or a bore out in combination with other parts in my experience..... If you have dyno results pls show me :) am owner of s t r 03 btw
I am not 100% but I believe the side repeaters/turn signals in the front wings/fenders behind the wheels are Ford ones from various Fords of the era.
I am sure they are the same as those on the Mondeo/Contour.

Just a cheap quip - buddy and I had a beatup 70's truck, it ran well. It ran faster when we removed the windshield washer line and "taped" it into place over the carb. sprayed starter fluid into the windshield washer reservoir and any time we wanted speed, we pushed the spray button on the wipers.

WHOA!! STOP! That motor with mileage will not hold up to any decent amount of nitrous. Just swap the pulley and tune it. That'll get you pretty close to 500. I mod things for a living. Been consulting for 20 years. Trust me, you do not want to spray that motor.

And while I'm no professional at this, don't you want to spray POST-boost? I'd think the spray would like little balls of un-compressible material inside the blower and introduce yet another point of failure.
At least the blue paint will make a nice background for destruction....

You should get someone from the uk to send you parts. Those s types are everywhere here.
It's a wide band o2 sensor definitely a must, adding notorious putts more dense charge air in the engine but you also gotta add more fuel. The fail safe aka wideband needs to read about 14.5 and lower .lower is richer meaning adding more fuel but not too much ,the higher the number 15 and up is lean and can mean your going to blow the eng so you always want richer fuel trims . Invest in bigger injectors or a bigger fuel pump samcrac

I HAVE 91 Miata I got brand new for 16th Bday...It was Mariner Blue but when I had the PROCHARGED ROUSH 347 /T6060 Trans/IRS 8.8 swap ,I had it stripped down to only a shell and its now House of Kolor FRB with .8 & .11 flake..I love the colour of the Jag man!! I have a 2010 V8 R8 manual and its wrapped in Cobalt Blue which was super closely matched to HOK Cobalt Blue..Keep up the good work Sam!

And don't feel weird about running nitrous in this. I used to spray a 75hp wet shot on a 2.2 liter Pontiac Sunfire

A smaller top supercharger pulley, K&N or similar intake that gets proper cold air and is enclosed, a decent exhaust or even just a decat with a remap will get really big gains too, trust me, I'm from England! ;)
(You'll see an easy 450bhp without the NOS from those mods!)

Doesn't the add on nitrous controller hook into the obd2 system? So you don't need that switch to kick off the bottle? That's the way you want it, so your using the tps sensor to get your 100 percent throttle

You're doing it right Sam! That wideband failsafe is a great tool so use it. One thing I'd recommend to extend the life of the transmission is (if your project budget allows at this point) to upgrade the cooling to the transmission! A B&M Aux cooler is like $75 on Amazon (this was maybe 4 yrs ago, may be cheaper nowadays) and can be added in-line to the existing trans cooler circuit. Replacing the trans fluid is also a good idea if it's currently healthy. Lastly, I do not recall if your NX kit just comes with a WOT switch to mount at the base of the accel pedal or if it comes with a window switch monitoring engine RPM. If it does not come with a window switch, GET ONE. Set the RPMs for it to be allowed to spray and where to cut off. You should set it to cut off just before the shift point. Because one big rule with the auto trans on nitrous is that you NEVER EVER EVER EVER spray through a shift. At least not if you want the clutch packs to survive. This is what the window switch will allow you to do. You still use a WOT switch at the base of the pedal, BUT in addition you have the window switch. Say your trans on WOT shifts at 6500, then set the window switch to operate from 3000 to 6400, thus saving your transmission! Hope that helps brother!

Many car put them in the taillights in most newer cars these days because most designs have the taillights wrapping around the rear sides. Same goes with the front.
Need to see if you can 3d print some of the smaller plastic super rare parts.

This is a great project. I don't know anything about nitrous but make sure the transmission rear end gear and everything can handle this power boost.
work on the supercharger, get a smaller pulley on it, remap, you'll get to 500bhp.
Then you can add Nitrous and get temporary boosts nearer to 600bhp ;)

Id still paint the grill to match the wheels. Ties it together. Same with those chrome moldings. Helps combine the blue in with the wheels.
I wonder if the reflectors from the XJ will fit. They look similar to the ones on my XJ8-L

is there anything else besides attaching the supercharger you had to do. Did you have to beef up the engine in any way to put a supercharger on it. Ie heavier duty Pistons, pushrods and cams...

Samcrac, those lights on the sides of the front and rear bumper are called "side marker lights." They serve as reflectors and as lights so people can see the side of your car at night.

I have run nitrous on a few cars with good luck. I always used a safety/window switch. I think there a great idea. I also always ran 1 heat range colder spark plugs for every 75hp nitrous I ran. Helps with detonation.. Any thoughts on running a smaller supercharger pulley? I used Smaller blower pulley on my Gtp along with nitrous it was a blast

How many miles are on that motor? Adding nitrous is going to put quite a stress on the internals which were not designed for it just saying and as far as the blue reminds me of Richard Petty blue so put the number 43 on the doors other than that keep up the good work Sam

Seriously it’s a forged motor meant for boost it’s probably been dealer serviced and babied it’s def been taken care of most of its life. I would drive this car cross country with the nitrous it’s just a boosted ford!!!!!!
Matthew Collins do the Boost or do the nitrous not both so many things to watch out for with nitrous that's why a lot of the race cars are getting away from nitrous for a couple of reasons it's hard to get ahold of nowadays and if you do it's very expensive not to mention people were burning up Motors left and right Pistons valves Etc by running boost their Motors are lasting longer just my point of view everybody is entitled but if this car is got like a hundred and forty thousand miles on it it's going to be tough on the motor

you put the nozzle in 8-12" from the tb, yes remove the valve out of the schrader valve (just like a tire) and use that for your fuel point. Also call around most places don't have a nitrous pump and need the bottle frozen to fill it
Probably going to get 500 hp once maybe twice. Love the check engine light and error codes. Any pool going on how long before it blows up?
