While I don't have a tiny home I do have a very small home so any space saving ideas are very welcome. A walking tour of your village would be nice and any history of when people started living there. Any scenic walks would be wonderful. I hope you have a great summer!🦋🐈⬛🕊
It's a beautiful house. You might want to think about a window large enough to be used as an emergency exit in your sleeping lofts. They're working on standardizing building regulations for tiny houses in the U.S. A emergency exit in sleeping areas are good way of insuring everyone's safety in case of a fire in the house.
I was thinking the same about the necessity of an emergency exit. It doesn't require a huge window but a minimum clearance to provide an escape. I'd also suggest a smaller window opposite for a soothing cross breeze. It can easily become stuffy & uncomfortable sleeping in a small room. Placing a little fan in the corner at ceiling may be enough to circulate air but a source of fresh air would be a healthier option. Thank you for the tour. I admire your color choice on the kitchen cabinets. Best wishes to you with your lovely home.

I hope it's ok that I save your videos to my list so I can find them faster when I need a day brightener cause they really cheer me up. I know some people won't let theirs be saved because they're private. Yours cheer this older lady up every day.❤️😀💐 Thank you for sharing.
I like the way you have done your kitchen. Very roomy. It is a good idea with the roof too. You have a sweet dog. Sky is like my dog like a Border Collie. Mine didn't chase but she did like to heard. When the kids were younger my husband and I realized. that when their friends were over she would run around them barking. And little by little she moved them into a small circle. And she would keep walking around them making sure they were together and safe. Then they toss a ball and distract her. She was a very good dog.
Congratulations on your tiny home, this is the way to go!!! More young people should be doing this and be as debt free as possible. I love the kitchen color, it is earthy and clean, along with the natural wood trim, the art work is amazing as well!!!! I am envious, we have a big house (which I dislike), a cottage that I rent weekly in the summer and my "tiny" cottage that is 703 sq ft. (65 meters-ish, sorry can't figure this out) I have to add all our places are paid off as my husband is a builder, so that was beneficial not to mention I got very good at the "measure 50 times, cut once" saying. I am sure you will be happy in it and with the beauty of your countryside all around you, what more could you ask for. Enjoy!
Not just for young people, but us mature ones too! I'd jump at the chance to build myself one, but planning departments in England are very old fashioned. Wales has their ' One Planet' provision - self build eco - homes, which are often small if not ' Tiny', but they insist on having 5 acres of land, and you must be self funded & produce income from your land.
Hello from Ohio, USA. Your tiny house has a wonderful design to it. We typically like the cabin feel but your choice of colors and materials are very cozy feeling. Nicely done!
Wow, you can really tell an artist (or two?) were involved in the building and decorating of this house! The soft green, off-white, and wood palette is so lovely and soothing, and the beautiful artwork and homey touches of books and kettle make it wonderfully inviting. Kudos to both of you on a beautiful home!
Ingenious use of space inside your stairs! I did the same when renovating an old farmhouse using reclaimed timber, but made pull-out drawers inside each stair-rise. I love your loft; again, clever use of space. I like your bathroom tiling which stops moisture ingress. Super compact office, too! ...You and Terry should learn bushcrafting from Felix Immler (presently on vacation), because his craft will enhance your lifestyle. ... Rome wasn't built in a day, but was a work in progress - just like your home. Many blessings, Wendi 🌻
How absolutely darling! That was so fun. I’m an old lady from Texas, and just recently moved from a one bedroom apartment to a one room studio. if I ever get unpacked and organized, I’m sure I’m going to love it. With some physical limitations it’s going to be great to have just a small area to care for. I thought about a tiny home, but there were some mobility issues that wouldn’t make it the best solution for me. However, yours is beautiful. I love it and I thank you so much for putting up this video. It was so fun to watch.
Hi dearest Molly, your videos are such a wonderful fresh air to breath in for the soul. As a highly sensitive person myself I find your videos inspiring and nourishing. Thank you 🙏❤️
I, too, have been a fan of tiny homes for 23 years since first seeing Jay Shafer's "Tumbleweed" on the cover of Natural Home magazine in 2000! My cabin isn't "tiny" - it's nearly 750 sq ft, but still small compared to many homes nowadays. You mention that you are in the Cairngorms, so I looked it up on the map, having been to Scotland a couple of times. I see Cairngorm National Park, and noticed that Tarland, a small village where I stayed with a friend for a couple of days, is very close to the park. She had a visitor who recommended that I take a walk down from the mountain, so she drove me up and I have a wonderful memory of walking back down to the village with the most exquisite views across to Lochnagar and other mountains which I assume are the Cairngorms. In fact I bought the (then) prince's book "The Old Man of Lochnagar" as a gift for a friend back home. Such a beautiful area.
this looks lovely 🥰 an idea I saw in another tiny home was to use a net strung across a space as a landing so you don't lose the sense of space, but still have the function of a landing in regards to the wardrobes/cupboards for your bedroom, I saw an idea someone had for a tiny home to use French cleats, so you can rearrange your space in future just some ideas to consider 😊
Thank you for the beautiful tour of your wonderful house. I really enjoyed it. I know that you are in Scotland, but do you know by any chance on what type of land I am allowed to place this type of home? I mean that if I would buy a land? I don't have a land like you have in the garden. Thank you for advice.
Wow! I absolutely love this. My partner and I live in the NE of Scotland and would love a tiny home. I especially love the kitchen ❤ look forward to watching more of your videos 😊
Gorgeous tiny home! Lovely colours and the mix of old and new styling. Very inspiring what you and your partner are doing. Good luck with the next stage of finishes ❤️
Thanks for sharing that you're in your partners garden. Most people don't share this as in the uk buying land is hard and expensive and largely owned by Aristocracy. Good for you guys being creative!
My husband from Glasgow/Scotland His parents place in there. My first time was Scott people ..it was really hard to understand their words…still now. But I love everything in there!! Especially high land cows , they are so cute !!
You have a lovely tiny home. We have a 35ft yacht which is a form of tiny home in itself. We are living in it this week on hardstanding in Gareloch while preparing her for launch in June. I like the idea of no mortgage, minimalism and freedom to live the life you desire. Good luck👍
In that small closet you can build shelf with thin plywood for sides make it long so you could put 2-3 shelves in it long way you could also do the same to hang clothes
Maybe revisit the landing idea and though your space is not as large as the one you saw, maybe some sort of a bridge like landing with stairs to go up the landing where you can reach and see through that window and other stairs going down that would link to the other room/office. It could be high enough to not encrouch the space below and give a focal point to the window up above.
I am a new subscriber...Love your tiny home it's so tranquil, love the green in your kitchen...every area of your home is very well done I Love the art work done by your partner....Thank you for sharing your tiny home.
It's a really nice tiny home, I can tell the design has been weel thought out. First time I heard about tiny homes around 2015 or early 2016 in Edinbourgh, they had a few different models of tiny homes for sale, I remember deeply contemplating the idea, but being a broke student I wouldn't even be able to afford it back then. I'm pondering about getting one now, that I could definitely afford one if I saved for a little bit. Thank you for this video, really got me thinking about it once again. Greetings from Aberdeen
This was great! I do have one question: what is the depth of your built-in kitchen drawers in the wall behind you? How well do you like them? Thank you for posting this! Blessings, health, prosperity and peace to you and yours and to all who read this! 😘👍😇💖
I was in the Scottish Highlands last week for the whole week. My trip was spontaneous and in all honesty, Scotland was never on my list of places to visit but omg, I now want to live there. I've already been looking at jobs there 😆 I struggled slightly with the accent and I don't mean that rudely. I have an accent from South of the globe myself and people often have to ask me to repeat so I promise that wasn't a mean comment. I'm so jealous of where you live 😆
Oh my goodness. So gorgeous. I’ve been to Scotland twice now and the highlands once and I’m completely in love with the Highlands. I’m hoping to go back again next year and maybe just maybe one day owning a home or at a minimum a nice flat there.
Oh my God, I've seen tiny low ceiling lofts, but this is worse then a coffin which has more head room. Other then the loft, I loved what was accomplished in the build.
Very nie tiny home! Well designed and and yur husband is a wonderfuk carpenter, plumbeer and the like. Good idea and need to washing machine which many do not seem to add. Overhead Fan at top of stairs before entering bedroom (or someplace near there, may be of help for the heat? Very lovely home. Alwys do think of extra escape routes. Love, love the kitchen!
I'd like the weather over in Scotland, Wales or Ireland, might think I'm crazy, but I'm built for that rainy cold weather, im always burning here, idk why several generations back moved to Maryland, Tennessee, and Texas, sometimes we can fry an egg on the sidewalk, or roadway.
Very cute & lovely! Your tiny home looks very peaceful! I was thinking how cool it would be if you installed a hook above the fruit bowl where you could hang your bananas. That would look so nice, as well as make more space for more fruits in the bowl.
I love how you use the throw over the back of your couch. and the shade, (Oatmeal?) The green tones you chose are fantastic not to mention the waxed wood throughout. Your dog is very well behaved. 😅 I went scandish 'mini' minimalist about 3 years ago after downsizing to a wee cottage. Excess stuff is stored in my attic so you might need to build a shed. 🤣
Congratulations on y'all tiny home right now we are renting a house we are not ready for a rent to owe house that include mortgage, taxes, this why I prefer to rent house cool tiny house 🏠☺💫
