1) I have ridden this and only Ather 450X can match it's overall performance which is at @ 1.55 Lakhs..No 80 or 85k scooter can give this performance..I have ridden all types of EV's
2) Not sure,why you are saying up front price is 65k,when there is the 35k subscription model available....it's like saying the total cost of purchasing activa is 3 lakhs lakhs..90k for scooter and 2.1lakhs for petrol..will you pay 2.1 lakhs upfront or only when you fill petrol..

A good 6KW hub motor, with a matching controller and 3KW battery, is a much better solution, because you can use the existing engine and fuel tank space for the battery and still have the original boot space intact. Also, the efficiency of a hub motor will be higher, meaning more range and also maintenance cost will be much lower, together with better reliability. A 6 KW hub motor will give very good performance, which is more than enough for normal, everyday commuting purposes. And lastly, having that transmission exposed like seen is not a good idea and also, the rear pulley could touch the road, during sharp banking.

It is very easy to import all said hub motors and electronic circuit and assemble and sell. This is done by other companies. Starya company has made this product from scratch and it is made India considering everything in mind like parts price affordability, production cost, maintenance cost, easy to fix, and deep R and D they have come up with this product which they believe is the most efficient and affordable.
If you believe your idea will be less cost please reach out to company they will be happy to implement it.

That's why we see many companies opting for Chinese products. I have many ideas for improvement and enhancement on such EV's but haven't got the opportunity to try them out yet. India needs a well designed, reasonably priced, reliable two wheeler, that is backed up with good after sales service, also at reasonable prices. At the moment, what can be seen is that most of the companies who are offering EV'S are swallowing all the subsidy amounts and trying to make a fortune, overnight. Ather, initially indicated that their prices would be just about a Lakh (before subsidies were announced) but when they finally started delivery, their prices shot up by over 50%. If EV's have to become popular, the Government needs to step in and cut back on taxes, import duty and excise duty, and also make sure that these cut backs reach the customer. At the moment, there doesn't seem to be any control from the government.
My city has announced that our EV policy will be launched in first week of December. Ola S1 Pro will get a Rs. 30K subsidy from my city. Hence, I will get my scooter at only Rs. 1 lakh. Consequently, Rs. 65k for a 80 km range makes no sense to me. Plus, I get state of the art features like reverse mode, 7 inch touch screen, BT, speakers, App control, keyless entry...

Isse to gogo1 thik hai battery k sath petrol se bhi run kar sake hain or charge bhi sath mein hogi. So long trip no tension. Its depend on only electricity.

Costly deal
There are a few problems. First they want customers to send scooter to Bangalore for conversion and then take it back on his own as well. Who will send scooter 2000 kms to Bangalore ? Second, with battery it costs 65K. That isn't exactly cheap. Third, who will provide after sales 2000 kms away in case of a fault ?

Company will soon expand their sales and service to major cities and towns so you can get ur scooter near by place to get it converted.
The company is from Bangalore it doesn’t mean they would do everything from Bangalore only.
Coming to battery, battery is part of of 35k conversion kit package.. but in that case you have to take subscription of 75piase per km…That gives you access to swap batteries anytime if your battery gets drained off.. company will arrange battery swap stations every 4km in cities and towns.
If you dont want all this and dont want to be part of any subscription plan only then u will be asked to pay for battery for 30k more.
In this case battery is yours u can recharge when ever u want as per your need but you will not have access to battery swapping stations.

Yes, it is out in bengaluru and booking can be with 99/- from website mentioned in description. Very soon they will expand in other cities too.
New scooter cost is high but you get 15 yrs life. With retrofitting, the life is what is left of the used 15 yrs plus the 5 yr renewal.
Yes, you can keep on renewing every 5 yrs. your scooter will now be e scooter no much service cost as there is no engine at all. Very small service cost for electric motor and belt replacement every 10k to 15k km.

It is not 35000 it is actually minimum 65 thousand.because the kit cannot run without battery and battery is for 30000 more .

I have a old scooty Pep it is more than 16 years old other state not Bangalore. If I give for conversion i will have a new registration number green. Should I have no objection from my state for for conversion or just like that I proceed. My case is scooty plus you can tell for Activa or dio or access.

Good Information shared. But this design is eating maximum space reducing the boot space. How this motor design is good than hub motor. It is more efficient than the belt drive. And the legendary Chethak and Vespa scooters is out of your consideration.??
The size is of the motor is directly proportional to power value of it, the power it has demands the space, since the company is creating only kits they have to adapt to the current vehicles so the dimensions may look odd, if they had created full body and other parts also they would have managed the space accordingly, there is some boot space available n i feel that compromise is ok, hub motor performance is less compared to this individual motor and this comes with belt drive only, for now only dio activa access n jupiter is being worked out for RTO approval, once we have the approvals they will include all other scooters as much as possible.

no sir, all our packs have the best quality cells and BMS in place.
Ola claim 180 km to one charge and your conversion claims 72km and you doesn't covered old vehicle sell price which must be 15k to 20k so as conclusion I must sell my old vehicle for 20k and add 80k more to purchase new ola and get higher rage with all new features and technology only this conversion is saving my 15k on new vehicle purchase so I think it is not worthy to go with this option.

Can you explain more about the breaking system
Brakes remain same as the old scooter would have, however when no acceleration is given and friction is on the motor that would de accelerate and slows down automatically.. for some time then after some time it rides freely. Like the regular scooters work.

Our country due to lack of drainage facilities gets water logged so wish to know can we drive in water logged areas during rainy season. What effect it will have on coils in the motor.

Once conversion is done it will be sent for RTO approval that means you get new fc with green board and 5 yrs validity.
And every 5 yrs fc has to be renewed but the amount will be very less as it is escooter now..

With subscription plan of 75paise per kilometre along with battery ( part of subscription)
If u do not want subscription plan and want own battery upfront you would be asked to pay another 30k for battery(total 65k).
Currently they have started in bengaluru and very soon they are collaborating with other company dealers to go full fledge. So it would take another 2 to 3 months to be at your place.
Now u can book it in their website and talk to them directly.. booking amount is 99/-.

It would be almost same, as of now company accepting only these 4 vehicles since RTO has given approval only for them. Very soon all scooters can be converted.

The company is only in Bangalore and they have accepted first 500 orders and they are working on it. Post delivering these 500 orders they will take new orders.
Also they will open showrooms across India including HYD. You can then book the kit.

There would be 2 modes given post conversion. Eco and hypermode.
In eco mode u shall be getting 70km range it is company claimed.

hi you had not share technical of motor RPM Torque Range curve and Reduction Gear ratio. Wheel RPM and at wheel torque. Which co. Tyre will suits as Electric torque is to much at wheeel so Soft tyre recommended. Hard rubber skid on powerfull EV as your motor is 5.4Kw. Michelene or Yokohoma etc.
Kindly do review again as their is nothing to hide as its RTO approved kit. Kindly elobrate. If possible try to use 12" wheel instead of 10". Better milage and stablity you will get as you are desigsined from scratch. put some bigger wheel at back.

Yes i dint mention the rpm anyway here it is, 5.5 kW max @ 4225 rpm
26 Nm @ 1900 rpm at motor these are. It is belt transmission attached to 4.4 gear ratio.. that connects to tyre.
The torque at wheel is around 117Nm..the torque at the wheel of activa/Jupiter at start is around 120 Nm..hence the tyres that they have standardized is the same that is used in activa..make and other details. They.will reveal once they finalize vendor..the only difference is the torque is available throughout the speed..whereas in ICE and also other mid drive electric vehicles.. torque will drop over the speed curve..hence thier mid speed performance is very attractive...the speed of the wheel in rpm is around 960 max.

Not worth spending 65000 rs without battery. What type of battery lead acid or lithium ion .government is giving subsidy. Who will benefit customer or seller no one is clear. With so many companies rushing into the arena many unorganised will close fly by night operators. Buyers should be careful.

Paying 65 for old scooty would be doubtful, rather buy a 20k extra for 80k pure ev brand new vehicle along with insurance and lot more and new style
you may get, but not with this performance, if you get escooter for 80k with this performance like top speed and range then please the let the company know they will shift their business in selling those 80k worth scooters.
