  • Hi friends today I am going to show how to make hybrid bike of my avenger 220 with 2000w electric bike conversion kit at home .
    Here I used 72v 35A , Li-ion battery pack and 2000w hub motor. The torque and speed (60-65 km/h) of the motor are very good .The range of the bike per single charge is 55-70 km. according your bike weight ,load and speed .
    You can get conversion Kit here --
    gogoa1.com/products/gogoa1-17...
    I bought Li-Ion batteries from ARB Accessories online.
    You Can get Here ---
    MAG Welding machine -- amzn.to/3ovkyTG
    Angle grinder -- amzn.to/3I9UbJo

    Thank you for watching .

    Good modification, but concerned about cutting front fork to increase the spacing is a safety concern. Also, the battery and speed/charge controller needs better cooling. Lastly, the charging point at the bottom is very impractical and dangerous in wet rainy seasons.

      I agree. Not only the forks but also the brake disc. Maybe it would be better to do this on a wire spoked wheel, or any way that doesn't mess up with the original parts. Plus the electrical components don't look waterproof. But still an interesting project.

    Cutting front fork base is an issue of structural integrity. 100kmph on this bike(this bike can do it easily) might lead to a disaster.
    Also the disc plate is not welded properly. It should be welded for the whole circle for better strength.

    The concept as a whole is really good, but a couple of points of concerns are there, like the Cutting of the front fork, changing to a wider fork would be a better option, and the same with the disc brakes, should have upgraded the calipers to match the rotor that came with the wheel,
    One more potential safety hazard are the batterys, Li Ion batteries need cooling, there are chances for the batteries getting really warm inside that box and potentially cause a fire, same with the BMS ,it also needs some sort of cooling.

    • @TheLazyWandererMys
      @TheLazyWandererMys 2 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      Exactly my thoughts, the cutting of the forks is a major concerns as it is a stress point and the strength is cut by half. Second thing is the Disc itself, those welds are not strong enough, the least you could do us weld the complete thing as the torque exerted at those joints could turn out to be near fatal. The Batteries need cooling, since liqui cooling isnt an option, may be make a heat sync of sorts? Not sure how much it will help though.
      The project is not as crude as it thought it would be, in fact I am quite impressed by it. Kudos to the team who got it working. I understand the thought process behind the choices/compromises made during the project but the concerns need to be addressed before you use the bike regularly as it could be potentially dangerous.

    • @Killianwsh
      @Killianwsh 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @@TheLazyWandererMys Actually the fork will fail much more easily than if it ONLY had 50% of it's orig. strength! Front forks of motorcycles & bicycles are not designed to resist the additional torque that a hub motor generates! If he is, actually getting anywhere near the 2000w figure he's stated out of that motor, I'd wager that fork WILL FAIL, as if it only had 10-15% of it's orig. metal left.

Cooling is required and I didn't see in the video installing of temperature sensor. The batteries will cook in the box with the amount of insulation present. I saw complete vid since I own same bike(220cc2013). I have maintained it pristinely.
    I am not engineer but I would like to suggest 3 things.
    1) Front shocks must be parallel to each other all upto lower axle bolt, no matter how you install bldc motor.
    2) just above or in front of radiator there is good space for mounting controller.
    2)like someone said...u can split battery pack or for better looks mount second box removing sari guard. Controller also can be fitted in this box. Kindly make arrangement for ventilation in battery box for cooling with protection from water in mind.
    Use primer before painting metal sheet. Do not use nylon cable ties for securing power cables...they will break.(Own experience)

      The disc needs more than just tac welds and it needs welding on both sides and smoothing down. The front brake is very important as you use the front brake more than anything. Using a sheet of glass to ensure that both parts are inline is a good trick. I would have do the forks a little differently as you almost took out the hex bolt needed to maintain the forks. The battery pack looks fine but I would have bolted some of the wires together in the pack rather than just soldering them together as over time vibrations from riding can cause cracking in the solder. The battery box welding could have been better once a few tac welds had been done try doing a continous bead of weld that way you join more material together you also reduce the risk of blowing through and making holes that you don't need. A house hold circuit breaker even though it can tolerate the voltage and current they are a massive no no for external and automotive use. It's best to buy an fused accessory switch for car, bikes and or boats that way it will most likely be waterproof. The box with the electric that was placed behind the front wheel I would have fitted to the left hand side of the bike or with the battery pack or try to fit them all under the seat. And I would have used a different type of volt meter but that's just me.. All in all not a bad attempt but if you tried to get that bike through a service here in the UK it would fail purely on the brake disc and front forks.

So, first of all, drive on battery and when the battery runs out, drive on petrol and at that time, if the bike runs on petrol, the battery will be charged again from the turbine and after the petrol runs out, the bike can be run on battery again.

Those who travel a short distance within the city will be able to use the battery power, again if they have to go on a long trip or run out of battery then there will be an opportunity to use petrol.
