The MDA Labor Day Telethon was an enchanting yearly variety show that ran for half a century. Hosted for many years by Jerry Lewis, the telethon featured top stars from the world of music, comedy, and Broadway and was like no other show on earth.
The telethon was created to help support the Muscular Dystrophy Association, which is leading the fight against muscular dystrophy. MDA dedicates itself to strength, independence and life. To learn more about MDA and to donate, please visit www.MDA.org.
The telethons between '83 and '89 were like a mini concert 8 - 10 songs from Sammy each year. We are so lucky to have these live performances.

Please consider posting more of the material from his 1989 appearances, his final ones on the telethon. I know there are performances of “Time After Time”, “For Once In My Life”, and possibly a few others than the ones you have posted.
Also PLEASE share “What Kind Of Fool Am I” and “And I Am Telling You” from his legendary 1987 telethon appearance - vocally some of the best stuff he ever did.

I just love Sammy Davis Jr. He had such a class, a old school class about himself. You don't hear music like this today. And I'm 22 years old saying that. Life looked a lot better with this beautiful man in it. We love you Sammy and well cherish your talent and eloquence forever ♾️❤

@@finderkeeperrrs No but he was driving a small go-kart, slowly, carefully in broad day light, nervously... !😆Crisp white shirt, black sacks and his signature shiny dress shoes! And I was like.. 'Sammy!' and he seemed grouchy... I'm not kidding!
